Nice little bakkie. Simple yet effective. Used to have a a little a12 turbo 148kw at 1.6bar. Only changed to Toyota 2e pistons. Everything else stock. Awesome little engines. The 1200 gx motors Rev 8k no problem.

Or maybe try 20v AGU Vw Mk4 injectors, not sure about specs but they are good enough for a 1.8 turbo so🤷🏻♂️

The 1400 turbo probably has more torque since its got a turbo but your top speed would be higher
