    Great video Aliex. You answered a question that I had about using a hobie 180 drive on the Makana 100. Thank you 😊

    If the Hobie drive is a “10” what would you say the vibe drive that comes with it is?

    I just broke the XDrive that came with my Makana 100 the second time I used it. Do you know if hobie drive GT parts are compatible? I can not find the sprocket been sold by Vibe.

    Alex, great review. I am older dude with some fairly bad knees. 6’ and 170#, excellent shape. Q: is there enough adjustment in the hobie drive and seat on the Makana to stretch out and not be cramped up and having to short stroke? Love you channel and reviews!

    I’m starting to lean towards Hobie. The needed for fins is a must in my area. I keep on having to clear my propel drive or pulling it up once. It gets quite annoying at times. Is it better to get the Vibe Makana 100 or Hobie Outback 2018 or newer?

    • @AliexFolgueira
      @AliexFolgueira  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hobie have been having so many issues lately. If you want a Hobie kayak, find a dedicated Hobie dealer and make sure you ask them about how they honor warranties. The Hobie Outback 2024 is a great kayak if it doesn't break, but it's also $3000! Personally, I would get a Makana with a Hobie 180 drive.

    Aliex, great video as asual! Very informative as well. I have the shearwater and was thinking about getting mirage drive 180 kickup V2 w turbo fins. Would the vibe xdrive pod fit the turbo V2 mirage drive 180? thanks keep up the great video.

    • @AliexFolgueira
      @AliexFolgueira  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Turbo only makes fins a bit larger everything else is the same

    I've always fished from Hobie pa12s, for almost 9years now! I've never owned anything else. I love my PA12 360. It is a heavy yak! I have couple places I don't think I could get it because of how steep the incline is to small lakes. Maybe with help but I'm mostly going out by myself. What cheaper kayaks would you recommend for a back up extra extra light kayak for extremely hard to get & launch locations?? Not trying to spend much $ but I don't want a piece of garbage either! My only stipulations on it is, need be able to stand up & fish. Need to be extremely light. I probably only ever use it 5-10% of the time. I know you tried about everything out there. By the way. My 32ah 14.8v amped outdoors lithium battery has been awesome! I can take 2-3 trips without charging

    • @AliexFolgueira
      @AliexFolgueira  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Cole happy to hear the amped outdoors battery is dong great! This boat is very light and stable, you can use your pa 180 drive on it, not sure if they sell the makana without the drive

    • @mantisushi
      @mantisushi ปีที่แล้ว

      The pelican catch 110 HD is pretty light and affordable in comparison, but it'll handle like a truck compared to a Hobie

  • @keenan9440
