That was mostly true during the California gold rush of 1849-185x also. The supplies at that time included food and ladies, as otherwise there was a huge shortage of both. Garnets! That bit of dirt looked a little bit salted, but you have struck gold in places most vloggers don't have the mad skills to follow.

Glad you enjoyed panning. 8 colors in your first pan is not bad. This mine relies on gold infused quartz. The good gold has been gone for a while. If you ever get out West you can really find some good gold in many rivers even on public lands. You will find garnets in most closed Western mines just easy pickings. In Telluride Colorado I found hundreds of garnets. I met a closed down mines owner just out drinking beer and he took a group of us into the mine and white water rafting. This mine was within walking distance of this historic downtown. As a vlogger, with a large subscriber base, you most likely will be able to see their places for free because of the free advertisement and exposure they get on video. Watching you pan reminded me of my first time. My first time I was 11 or 12. My Mom who turned 88 yesterday was great at giving us experiences while we cheaply camped in tents. If you get another chance to travel the USA an across country camping trip in state parks and forests and National Parks and Forests will show you the best nature in the country in 90 days. I highly recommend this while young because it involves a lot of hiking. I did this twice in my 20s. Keep enjoying the trip if you are not home yet. The videos obviously are behind your travel schedule.

The way Matt explains how to locate a reasonable spot to start searching for gold was interesting. Looking back on my own travels, I've seen some of the things he talked about and now I wished I had known the signs to look for. As always your delivery of the content is so far above the quality of other YT vloggers and that is one of the reasons so many people keep coming back to watch another edition of your content. The way you splash a bit of humor in with references from movies and music makes those of us who catch on to that kind of thing, pay close attention to how and when you bring out your "precious" humor. That one piece of stone looked like a very pale aquamarine. Apitite is beautiful when it's faceted. Unfortunately it is far too low on the MOS hardness scale to be used in jewelry. Although I have seen it wire wrapped for pendants. I was a jeweler and gemstone cutter for many years and a lifelong rockhound. My state has the only publicly accessible diamond mine in North America. Crater of Diamonds State Park. About three days ago a kid found an almost 3 carat diamond there. I looked at it and if he has it cut into a round brilliant, it'll render a little more than two carats.

I always knew you were a gold digger. My wife found me when she was panning lol. Five guys is very tasty and they give u a lot of food but it is probably the most expensive burger you can order. Greed has priced many in this country out of being able to enjoy many things and keeps them from building any kind of savings. Did you go to the Smith House for food. There is a gold mine underneath the Smith House. Another nice little spot for gold history in Georgia is Villa Rica.

I'm a native Georgian born and raised and love your videos. Very funny "click bait". 😆. Dahlonega is a great place to visit. I always stop there when I go up to Helen. Did you go to the Smith House for food. There is a gold mine underneath the Smith House. Another nice little spot for gold history in Georgia is Villa Rica.
i went hunting in Dahlonega, Georgia in the Chattahoochee National Forest. It's a beautiful place and cool little town.
You are so close to the Jack Daniels distillery. Pretty good tour there. As always, great stuff.
