This album always felt to me like it wasn't about forgetting, but instead remembering, glad you finally got around to do it
To me it felt like remembering, with early stage alzheimers looming over the patient, and starting to take hold. Alzheimers felt more like a looming presence instead of the central focus of AEBBTW to me.
Came here to listen to a piano version of Moments of Sufficient Lucidity,
and as someone who's been wanting a non-distorted version of that track, this delivers.

I love how this doesn't sound particularly sad or melancholic like the original source. It reminds me of, say, someone who is long in the tooth and has lived a life of fulfillment, and despite his old age, he is still mentally sharp and his memory is still there, clear as day. This video's audio is of him remembering moments his life as he sits upon his veranda, the people he met and the things he has experienced.
That's a great mental image. And as I like to say, if there's one thing I've learned from doing these covers, it's almost never the songs/melodies themselves that bring the melancholy, it's the way they're presented (except like Misplaced In Time lmao that shit's just upsetting)
Reminds me of a comment I saw where the person’s father, though very old, was still mentally perfect, while he could do nothing but sit and watch in grief as his (former) friends became senile.
This medley sounds like a Layton and Johnstone version of it (the fact that L&J were sampled)

Thanks for the comment! I haven't gotten around to Stage 4 yet, I'm doing the score for this video first, and then I might take a bit of a break after that. I'll keep people updated on it though

Made piano versions of the samples and combine them in the way its done in EATEOT
That's a pretty neat idea, but the thing is I want to keep making actually playable pieces, which will be a bit hard with all of the multiple samples and panning and all that

Now i really like your videos, but you make your songs filled with so many notes i cant really sight read through, and i cant really play both hands, so this is just a problem for me on all your videos. I have to figure out the notes since i played the songs before. I am just saying there should be a simple version of your covers, because these sound really good, but hard to play
You're not obligated to sightread, if you really want to learn the pieces you can learn small sections from the sheet at a time, practicing them slowly until you can play them coherently at normal tempo
Unless by "sight reading" you mean you can't read music, in which case you might try slowing the video down to catch all of the notes, ig

Paused for the time being, unfortunately. These next few months will be extremely busy for me. There are a couple other songs I have in production, but not sure when those will be out (sooner than Stage 4 though, that's for sure)
