Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。"Kagerou" is a word having 4 syllables like Ka-ge-ro-u [kɑ・gé・ro・ʊ]. Su is singing about jealousy against someone using a metaphor of heat haze, "Kagerou". The hash emotion is shimmering from her inner blaze, and it seems to me that her emotion will not erupt but turn into magma deep down. It's scary😱 . This is the song featuring BM's heavy, dark and seductive side. The girls have grown up into ladies without doubt. I love this choreo, too.

I am glad you instantly recognized her as Momoko.
Your expert perspective commentary is always insightful.

This is 5 years old now i think Moa's always had the confidence but when she hit 20 years old . she changed i think she was thinking i am not a little girl anymore the fans never stood a chance . When fans seen this song fans commented Wow Moa's changed 😮 . Even Su mentioned it in an interview ❤ 😃

Nice reaction. Moa's confidence in her dancing shows a lot in this choreography. And how much better she got at it. When they first did this song it was a Su solo and there wasn't any choreography. Su danced freely to it until the Metal Galaxy album actually was released. It while they were on tour that I started to root for Momoko to get promoted and become an official member when they did this song. During one of the smaller shows they let her walk out dancing be herself and then Su and Moa ran out into position while laughing. When ever I catch the clip it's hard to tell if she even knew she was out there on her own because they were behind her. Babymetal and their stage shenanigans. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

Great reaction. I hope your Babymetal guy is able to get you to see them live. They're amazing live. It seems like it's been a hot minute since you've done a Babymetal reaction, but it's always nice to see you coming out with more :) Looking forward to your next one! Take care!

Welcome back, nice one. There is usually a Kami Band instrumental intro when they play 'Kagerou', but this video started from after that.
They first played this song in 2018 - at that time the song title was unknown but it was seen on a set list as 'Tattoo' ... and it was a Su-metal solo with no set choreo at all, Su pretty much free-styled her own dance and movements however she felt.
When the album was released we finally got the official title - and there were Moa and the Avenger of the day joining Su with the entirely new choreo.
At the time this video was recorded Momoko was still an Avenger of course.

Great reaction as always! I always felt this particular song really showed the mature side of Babymetal. Especially when considering the lyrics were about: The shimmering and flickering heat haze that represents the emotions in an unfaithful relationship fraught with lies and deceit, until the protagonist realizes that it is all over.

I believe MoaMetal said in some interview that she particularly enjoys dancing to this one, since it feels like grown-up style dancing. Which is why I have been eagerly waiting to see the reaction to this.

    👍 👍
One of my all time favorite songs by Babymetal.
I love the choreography, (Moa's sultry confidence is on display here), Suzuka's vocals and the Kami instrumentals.
And totally agree that Suzuka's feminine beauty shines through (I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it and I've watched this performance countless times).
There are many new songs of theirs that you have not reacted to.
And I would really enjoy your reaction to Shine LIVE.
    Until next time.

Many people here have talked about Moa's improvement in her dance already. During a special where Sue and Moa looked back on Babymetal over 10 years. Moa said that working with the Avengers, she found that each of them danced a little differently, so she had to make slight changes to her dancing depending on which Avenger she was dancing with. I am sure this was key to her improvement in dancing and confidence.

Moametal was always a fairly confident and outgoing girl, but it is true that there was a change in Moa, we fans noticed it around M legend when she turned 20. Moa used to not care so much about the choreography, she would go crazy and follow her own rhythm, but she became more and more dedicated in her dancing and began to have a more mature air, even when asked about it Moa commented that she was no longer a little girl and wanted to try new dance genres to mix with metal. She began to get more involved in choreography and in interviews she talks about the passion she gained from seeing different styles of dance and thinking "we can put this into our songs."

Kagerou was abolutely my favourite for a number of reasons until Monochrome came along - but it's still VERY close for me. Got to say the intro (I know it's not choreo :P) is great though and helps "set the scene" - first time I've seen this without it. Great reaction and more of course :)

No, you have to consider that their Haar pieces hide parts of their cBles for theit heaphone and Microfon Kombination and I presume that even some hairpieces might be Hiddensee inside it. It is simply obvious how they look in costumes and in Civil. And I think those are in parts parts of their costumes.

Thanks for reacting to this one! You should check out BabyMetal; The Next generation - otherwise known as Metalverse! The video "Crazy J" is good quality but you cannot see any of the choreo(it's almost all from the waist up) I recomend this one: th-cam.com/video/7l2JUPkZ04g/w-d-xo.html start @ 2:00 and end @ 5:18 ( It's a long video of several songs, so just that one)
You also gotta check out this High energy dance break from Atarashii Gakko! th-cam.com/video/2_KbEKnN0iE/w-d-xo.html

I think Moa has gotten better, become more confident, and now I think she's more open and free. She's very much a crowd person, and she interacts with people and I think that helps her overall. If Sue sung, Momo danced and Moa did crowd interactions, that would be great!!
And, they have gotten over the mostly kawaii necessities. They are older and more mature.

I don't mean to be one of the people "giving you the stick" because I genuinely find your insights educational and interesting. You're the only reactor I've seen consistently cover Babymetal on the dance side, so you are always a someone I look for when a new Babymetal video comes out. My only real disagreement with anything you've said is really the the "masculine stance" issue, which I just don't understand. 2nd position Grand Plie (sp?) is a pretty wide stance, and I've never found it particularly uncomfortable or alien (cis f), though their stances often tend to be a bit wider than that. To me, the stance is Metal, not masculine. In any case, love your insights! (Would also love to see J01 on your channel)

Not a dancer nor a metalhead…I remember from another reaction, she says that the stance of legs further apart gives the impression of power and ladies had a more “feminine” stance. I think she also was wondering if it was cultural, like if it was more common for female Japanese/Asian artists to have that stance.

    • @Chadw1cKed
      @Chadw1cKed 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

So, the key word here is: *"Masculine".* 🤨 I feel like, if the stance were referred to as literally anything else, then you wouldn't have felt the need to be offended. Oh, oops, there I go *"mansplaining"* again. 🙄 smh
