Band BIO:
Babymetal is a Japanese metal band. The band consists of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal" and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal". The band is produced by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation, performed by a group of session musicians known as the "Kami Band" at performances.
FUN FACTS about band:
-MoaMetal is a fan of Limp Bizkit because of it's dance oriented music like Babymetal. The favourite song is My Generation
-Su-Metal, MoaMetal and YuiMetal are roles. Su-Metal confirmed this several times on Japanese interviews and talked about Su-Metal as third person perspective. But Babymetal stayed in their roles in some interviews with western media
- The Fox sign was a mistake. They saw some photo's of metal legals made the devils horn sign and they thought it was a fox. So it became the sign of Babymetal and the fox god
-Yui-metal fell off the stage at Budokan concert. After a short while she came back on the stage without severe injuries

This is BABYMETAL's love letter to '90s Japanese Dance music.
Everything from the guest guitarist on the studio version, Tak Matsumoto, the "Whoa!" sample, to Moa's lyrics in her rap section are direct references to dance songs of that era.
Matsumoto is best known for the group B'z. They're the best selling artists ever in Japan, and one of the best selling worldwide.
It was quite a score getting him for the 'Metal Galaxy' album, but as Su has mentioned, they were able to get all of their first choices for the guest artists.
Supporting dancer was Momoko Okazaki at this 'LEGEND - METAL GALAXY - Day 1' concert.
I was at the LA Forum show where the song had it's world debut. It was a solid blast.

It's interesting how the song feels different when you focus on the guitars. It transforms from a dance tune to Metal. I guess that speaks for their skill in mixing genres.

@@dicodec yeah, I don't get the mixing for concerts. Sometimes they're heavy and other times they're not. Some of this might be post production too? Like maybe it was heavy in the concert but then they changed it for the DVD release? Every time I've heard a fancam it sounds very heavy.
They used this song as an opener on their last EU tour and it was perfect, got the crowd pumped from the get go! :)

It would be hard for Babymetal song writers to run out of ideas, seeing as they haven't limited themselves by being a specific genre.... By creating their own genre and style, they can pretty much do whatever they want and it will still be Babymetal. Damn I love them.... All we're waiting for now is the Metal Country fusion.... Something to knock Old Town Road off as being some badass country fusion....

Their songwriters had ideas? I love their songwriters I think they do great work and they understand how to write songs but I don't think they have ideas. A lot of their songs are just another band as performed by Babymetal. The devil is in the details. Ignore this just amusing myself by playing devil's advocate. I think I made some good points but on the whole I agree with you.
Yet another thing I love about BABYMETAL is all the tiny details they put into their music, lyrics, call and responses. Even that Woooooo! they throw in every so often is like a jolt of energy to remind you to join in and just party with them. 🤘🦊🤘

Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 This song was performed live for the first time in the world at the Forum, USA on Oct.11, 2019. The audiences there were very lucky. I was also lucky because I witnessed this very performance at the venue on LMG Day1 Japan last year. Well-prepared performance at the huge arenas like the Forum and Makuhari are awesome, but I really want to see them perform this song at smaller venues like in 2020 European tour, where the audiences could see Moa's choreo in the center position at a short distance. FYI, Tak Matsumodo (松本孝弘), an arranger of guitar solo part in this video was a Grammy Award winner in 2011 (with Larry Carlton).

(I desperately tried to get tickets to all of the 10 shows but I could not win a ticket to Day-6 in any way) I look forward to the online program for "10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN World Premiere" on June 26.

"Da Da Da Dance" is a dance-metal song incorporates '90s Japanese dance music into Babymetal's heavy metal sound. Guitar riffs played by Takahiro "Tak" Matsumoto from the Legendary Japanese band B'z is a Grammy Award winning producer, arranger, composer, singer and songwriter. Kobametal told Kerrang that with Tak Matsumoto playing on the song, "The sound just feels so much more. There's more depth in the sound and more power."
The song's video was filmed across various shows during Babymetal's Metal Galaxy world tour. The clip includes Babymetal first-ever US arena show at the Forum in Los Angeles on October 11, 2019. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬.

_Da Da Dance_ is the opener song from 3rd Babymetal album (after the Future Metal intro), and as you see is pretty danceable style rhythm, but do not confuse this with eurobeat or edm genre, althou it sounds similar and take elements from that, instead it is inspired in "Juliana's Tokyo", sorta a techno movement very popular during 90's in Japan, specifically inspired on MAX - Tora Tora Tora , according to KobaMetal (the mastermind producer behind), but for me sounds more like "Seventies" song from the same group, perhaps for the guitar reef part mostly.
Some people think Tak Matsumoto talent was wasted here, because his guitar part only last 20 seconds, but he was the perfect choice for a song like this because he already got the experience to participate or insert reef guitars on electronic or edm songs, he's a legend too.
This weekend will come livestream of 10 Budokan Legend, with footage of recently 10 Babymetal Budokan live concerts celebrating their ten years, just watching the Introduction with 5 songs you can tell is gonna be dope, hope you can enjoy it too \m/

Takahiro Matsumoto from B'z, which is the best selling band ever in Japan, played the guitar parts on the album version of the song. It's another one of those "don't like the recorded track, but really dig the live performance of it" songs for me. The first BM album has a lot of those. But I'm one of those people who likes almost every BM song way more live, anyways.

@@dicodec i wasnt realizing it at the time. Concert days were January 24/25th i think (both nights totally different songs) …and that was in 2020…3 weeks before rownies arrived in Japan and i was finishing my month long vacation (and returned to Canada).
Looking back…i had epic timing.
I like this song, but it's definitely the most 'anime theme song' piece they have to my ears.

7:36 this half step lower key change is AMAZING. It reminds me of the ending of Goliath by Karnivool, where they do the same. Going up in key change is typical, going down and so smoothly is very unexpected.

I think you should revisit Lovebites "Shadow Maker" official video. Since the Bloodstock video sound sucked balls. You know, having heard them live, they are legit.
