I was once hiking in the late evening about a half-mile into a valley when I heard a lady screaming. I started running towards her, so I thought. Another hiker walking briskly the opposite way educated me. On the drive home, I still had some doubts, so I looked up videos of mountain lions screaming. That lady hiker possibly saved my life.
