      Glad it helped! It's fairly obscure. I'm not 100% sure why I did it, but it's a good one for sure! Thanks for watching!

      My favorite solo is by vandenberg burning heart. I see it played but no tutorial. I am sure you are flooded with requests, but if you have time I would love to learn that one.

      @@joedamico9797 It's a good solo. Thanks for the suggestion! I think the main reason you don't see a tutorial is that it's super long, so a tutorial would either be incomplete or would take a huge amount of time to record and edit and such. And then you've got the unfortunate fact it's not all that well known.
      Learning a solo like this doesn't usually take much time (other than listening to the song 5 to 10 times in my case because I'm only vaguely familiar with it.) What takes time recording and then the editing. Plus, tabbing something like this is a nightmare! (I'm not a fan of tab, but many players use it and expect it ... BTW, best to use your ears instead.)
      So I could maybe do a small piece of it. But it's really a coherent solo, very melodic. So I understand if you'd want the whole thing or nothing. This is the sort of thing I would do on my membership site. But that won't be open until February.
      Anyway, let me know if you'd like part of it. Maybe the beginning. It's definitely a nice solo.

      Yes absolutely! It’s amazing to me how you can pick that up and play that by ear. I think I have the first part of the solo but the middle to the end is very difficult for me to figure out. Whenever you have time mark that would be great thank you very much!

    Hey, Mark. Just found out we lost Bobby Vee yesterday. Loved that guy. So many timeless tunes. If you ever get time or feel like it, "Suzie Baby" or "Come Back When You Grow Up Girl" are songs I'd like to add to your request basket. Some pretty cool guitar parts in those. Thanks again!

      I like the chord progressions in those songs a lot. Good stuff. I'll put those on the list. Might do a quick one just about the progressions, because they're kind of typical in early pop/rock songs leading to early Beatles too. I wasn't keeping up with him, and wasn't really a fan, but I know Dylan thought highly of him ... and that says something!!

    Hey Mark, You put out some awesome lessons! Is there any way you could do a short lesson to show the chord progression for this song? There are some covers of this song but not really any lessons.
    Thanks

    Do you prefer G&L or Fender

    • @MarkZabel
      @MarkZabel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, they're both good. The build quality has been superb on every G&L I've had, but Fenders are good too. I don't currently own any Fenders ... maybe that means something, maybe not. Both good.
