  • Hey guys,
    I know you have been requesting a full video that goes into detail the entire build of my 2wd Sprint 2 Drift. Its finally here.
    I know its a long video, and in some parts I tend to ramble on a bit. My thoughts are that if you commit to the changes, it does make the car fun as a 2wd drift car. I really had lots of fun with this chassis, and I hope you will to.
    Also, you can follow my other builds on my instragram: countdriftula
    www.imgrum.net/user/countdrift...
    Depending on your chassis layout of where you put your electronics, you may need to get small RC weights to help balance the car. You want to have enough weight on the front, to keep the front tires planted. I just positioned some weights around the front end, I did not use glue or anything to make them stick, as I like to vary the weight distribution with the different body types that I run.
    Here are some parts that I used:

    -plastic traxxas 2wd bellcrank:

    -plastic 2wd traxxas caster blocks
    (I cut the bottoms off, and just used these to attach the bearing carrier/knuckle to the A-Arm)

    -traxxas aluminum bellcrank posts:

    -traxxas turnbuckles:
    (I used various sizes, but here is a link to 49mm size, just for reference.)

    Wow, tons of detail. Thanks for putting this together. This should definitely help my build. Working on an HPI RS4 Pro2, 22 year old rig from back in the day. I was able to rig a Sprint 2 bumper onto my chassis with some time using a rotary tool. So far so good.

    Ordered the Yeah Racing Sprint 2 Endurance kit and the Aluminum arm kit along with graphite chassis upper and lower decks. Can't wait to embarrass some fancy upscale touring cars this winter with my trusty old Sprint. It should kick ass with more rigidity.

    Question: what's your opinion on a company called "Integy". They do a lot of billet machined parts for the HPI Sprint 2?

    • @patrickcarnahan5493
      @patrickcarnahan5493  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Integy makes good stuff. I would say just read the reviews on whichever part you are thinking of purchasing. I have seen some of their products work 100% of the time, and some of their products have complaints. But overall, I think its a solid company for aftermarket parts. Hope this helps!

      @@patrickcarnahan5493 Good Morning, Thank you and I appreciate your input. I have searched for reviews on their Bulkheads, but no luck. I was mainly looking at the rear/front Bulkhead in silver. I am going to upgrade my Sprint 2 with silver upgrades. I was lucky to a Yeah Racing silver conversion kit over seas. So far I have the front/rear Shock towers, Upper deck, Motor plate, and the Yeah Racing.

    Good Afternoon,
    Can you help me. Can I use a 48 pitch and 92T spur gear on my Hpi sprint 2. Thanks

    • @patrickcarnahan5493
      @patrickcarnahan5493  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Richard, I am not sure to be honest. If you are running 48 pitch gears, I would imagine you should be able to fit a 92t spur with a small pinion gear. When I buy spurs, I usually buy a few at a time; maybe get 92t, 90t, and 88t, and see what works?
