It brings a smile on my face when I see someone stank face some rock and roll. This is such a great song. Leslie West (the lead singer) said they made it short on purpose because they wanted the radio stations to prefer it, shorter songs = more time for advertisements. sidenote: That 45 had Mississippi Queen on both sides.
I'll never forget being introduced to the live side of Mountain's Flowers of Evil album sitting in the local rock star's dorm room at school where his stereo system was connected to a very very large guitar amp. Dream Sequence was playing very loudly. My head exploded and is still not quite the same over 50 years later.

Or Never in My Life. They both kick ass!
if you do Nantucket Sleighride, you must find a version that contains Taunta as the lead in.
Don't forget "Blood Of The Sun" or "Theme From An Imaginary Western"
You should make a tee shirt that says "Don't Just Listen to The Music, Feel It!"
Man I haven’t heard the song for a minute so this was really fun. Somehow, I forgot about all the cowbell!! 😆😆😆😃😁😁😁🤩🤩 ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
This song drove our parent's crazy, at full volume
That's soul! From a 375 lbs. Jewish white man. If only people knew how all of us are the same. The same passion, the same feelings! The funk! That's the stank face! RIP, Mr. West.
One of my favorites!! Who doesn't need a little more cow bell in their life, right...lol
Deep Purple "Space Truckin'" my friend. You will love it as much as their other tunes. "Woman From Tokyo" too :)
Hey J....Check out” More cowbell” It’s a Saturday night live skit. Hysterical!
May he rest i peace...a great guitarist and a mountain of a man.
It was so intense they couldn't make it any longer.
From one Griffin to another Griffin. React to :Time Has Come Today by the Chambers Brothers. Cow bell for the entire song.
Sam, GREAT song!!!
I agree.
Leslie West of Mountain just passed. How about "Nantucket Sleighride" by Mountain?
I'll never forget being introduced to the live side of Mountain's Flowers of Evil album sitting in the local rock star's dorm room at school where his stereo system was connected to a very very large guitar amp. Dream Sequence was playing very loudly. My head exploded and is still not quite the same over 50 years later.
Saw Mountain in 1973 with their FULL WALLS of amps, sitting on the floor, 5 "rows" back, and FELT every note.
Mountain and Melanie on the same day? Magic.
For this to be a early '70's song it had a great sound. Not many bands had that heavy riffing.
Oh yes. This is it. My neighbors love this stuff. At least never hear the complaints.
Going through a rough stretch, and watching your video reactions and listening to your message has helped me a lot. God Bless You...keep rockin
