Hi Aidan, I am writing this message on behalf of Japanese TV. They would like to show your video clip "Baby Magpies in their nest" in the segment "Magpies Attack". Please let me know if that's OK.

If tha camera was there during swooping season the male magpie would have attacked the camerman aggressively until out of area or something.

I have a family of maggies that have become my friends and who visit me daily. I had been curious about their nest, as I know where it is across the road from my house, but am not athletic enough to climb up that high in their tree! LOL! Though if I did, I'm certain they wouldn't try to attack me, as maggies are smart and recognise human faces. The father (whom my ex named Gordo) voluntarily brought his chick to my balcony railing in about October. Anyway, thanks for the great footage!

Birds dont have friends they are instinctive and how the hell do you know they recognise a human face :) :) :) unbelievable LOL

@@KeithProctorArtist corvids recognizing human faces has been scientifically supported many many times, and anecdote plausibly claims so for some other birds. I know you hate birds, so grow up.

Yes,they definitely recognise humans. Every morning I feed crows in the local park, as soon as I walk in the park, they follow me.

@@KeithProctorArtist an artist who does not know s*** about nature. what a sick joke. there are tons of articles and dozens of videos where birds get along with human. there is a dude who'd been a friend with seagull like more than 2-3 months. and seagulls are not friendly at all!

I work at a wildlife rescue and get sick to death of people demonising these beautiful birds
I create short videos that we share on our page. Would I be able to use your video in the “why corvids are amazing” video I’m creating? I’ll cite you in the video if I can have your name, where and when it was taken :)

Just because they are pretty doesn't mean they aren't vermin or are free from blame.

The Australian magpie was named 'magpie' for it's similarity to the Eurasian magpie. But it is not a corvid.

@@hartleyhare3863I've had magpies nest near my house. They are a little loud, but they are wonderful. Also have a bumblebees under the roof.

I like the way this video shows the other side of magpies that we normally don't get to see. We're unaware of what goes on in the nest.
