Singin those hymns over and over again, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday night..... probably saved my life. Yes... can so relate. Growin up Texas y’all. Saw and met Charlie at Austin Opera House around 1989.... amazing voice and guy.
I remember Charlie and his brother Will from Antoines and small Austin Clubs. I’ll say it -he was drop dead perfect genetically and took my breath away and when he sang and played you knee that guitarist was a force to be reckoned with. I wish he would have had a true defender in the management of his career. Music lost out big time that he never got the promotion he deserved. Still love him to death.
He had it all. Good looks. Great voice. Awesome guitar chops. And still does. He deserves much more recognition than he gotten. As much ss Mellencamp or Jacob Dylan if not more.
decent solo here but um his guitar solos are what held back his music in his younger days imo sorry just being honest. If he wouldve had David Grissom for instance the music wouldve been 10x better
Here it is 2024 and the church in this video is having it's last service next week. It's deteriorated over the years and the Anglican dioceses has decided to take it down some time in the future. Happy to know it will be here to see forever. It's called St. Mary's Anglican Church located in Maxwell, Ontario, Canada , just a small hamlet in rural Ontario. We were a bustling place the summer day the video was shot. It was back before internet so it kept the kids busy following everyone around to watch what they were doing. Sunday Clothes is a fitting video song for St. Mary's to appear in.
so amazing, what can be stumbled upon while surfing for kick ass rock, the back pages of rock royalty. your history and eloquence remain understated. Dateline: GOLDEN GLOBES. A big thanx to everyone involved, your words and music are undoubtedly a part of so many people's lives. Thanx to TH-cam for helping to bring everyone quality programming! Cheers Charlie, Doyle and the Arc Angels!
STILL LOOKING GOOD AS EVER AND YOUR MUSIC IS STILL WONDERFUL. ALOT OF US TEXANS CAN RELATE TO THIS SONG. CHARLIE, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE MUSICIANS AND I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. I WISH YOU THE BEST AND PRAY YOUR MUSIC GOES ON FOREVER!🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵🎼🎼🎼🛐✝️✝️✝️💒💒🙏🙏🙌😇💖💞🇨🇱🇨🇱🇺🇸🇺🇸
bay, when I first heard Everyone Must Crawl I knew I had found musical genius... bought the CD and had the good fortune to listen to him live in Austin a few years ago. You are a lucky man baysideval to have a family member as talented as he
@MyNickdanger I love this song so much, but my problem is that I can't understand all the lyrics since English isn't my native language. I've tried, but haven't found the lyrics online. I thought if you could be so kind and write them to me. :) I know it'll probably take some time, but I'd really appreciate the effort! ♥ Thank You and God bless!
Listen to Charlie Sexton since the 80s, graduated in 1991. Charlie is a great musician and his music tells a great story.
What a criminally underrated musician. This world is crazy, just like he sings in this song.
All Texas children can relate to this song. Charlie has always been the real deal. So underrated.

He was only 26 or 27 here but had been a major label act for over 10 years at this point...not many people can say that.
This song speaks to my soul and I can relate to it in so

Wow I saw him perform in like 87 and still remember. I'm glad I found this and wish I had followed him through the years. I really like this!
I saw Charlie with Charlie Musselwhite and when he was touring with Cruel and Gentle things. The guy writes the best songs...still gives me chills.
One of the finest rock albums of all time.
" It probably saved my life"...funny how things you know not occur can pave your way in life. God i love this song
Still one of my favorite songs of all time!
James McMurtry gave away arguably the best song he's ever written. Charlie made it count.
Happy Birthday Charlie
Not to mention, one of the most brilliantly produced albums I've ever heard.
Great Song and Fantastic Video, King Charlie! :) Reminds me Big Time of My Texas Youth and My Grandma...Thanks for this!! :)
fantastic - take me back to 87 big time

Love the guitar solo and his voice is underrated. Too bad he is not more prolific.

Charlie has more talent than all the band members of REM combined.
Music is not a contest! We're the winners when people share their talent.
Talent on loan from God, suit on loan from David Byrne
Stay way
Report card day today!
Still Listening and Grateful in 2020 Charlie...One of Texas Best!
