I don't know, I can't really articulate why but this one of my favorite videos ever. I watch it about once a week and it affects me and speaks to me in some way that I have not deciphered yet.....anyhow, it's a great video and a great song. Charlie is one hell of a terrific but underrated artist. I met him and his brother Will in 1988 and they were very cool, nice dudes.
Charlie always puts on a great show, Arc Angels or solo. This album and tour were awesome! Different than Arc Angels, still very awesome show. I guess that's why you do a solo project, to record what is different from you & your last band. "Under The Wishing Tree" flew under the radar, not the it wasn't good, the normal "Pop" audience just couldn't grasp deeper more artistic and creative music. Same thing happened with Van Halen 3, with Gary Cherone. Don't blame Gary for lack of record sales, Eddie was on a creative musical endeavor, way above the public's head. Most pop music is basically very simple songs that people get addicted too. Musicians tend to favor more complex and artistic statements, different, even unique... with musicianship that screams... "We want to say something... We have a story to tell.. Even... We have a picture to paint. Listen to us! We don't really care how many albums it sells, We are laying down OUR part of history... a time capsule". To me, that is what some of the great albums in history are. The Beatles did it later in their career. Zeppelin did it from Zep 3 on. But they were popular already, so people listened and listened, and it grew, and they knew it was unique, & they loved it, and it became historical. Nobody could copy them because it was them. All I am really saying is, Charlie had some stories to tell, he had a vision to share. He don't regret it. It was and is and will be. He did it. Thanks Charlie for sharing a part of your soul with us. Some of us were listening.
It's funny. For so many years this was "Zane's song" because of Kindred. So it almost seems weird seeing someone else sing it. LOL The actor who played Zane did such a damn good job with the lip sync performance that it really does feel linked to him.
i remember seeing someone singing this back in a san francisco club back in '96, brings back so many memories. Guy called himself 'pure toreador' or something.
I'm trying to find the name of the blues song that was playing In THE HAVEN in episode five before the ally fight. would you happen to know the name of the song?
the most under-rated songwriter ever...

masterpiece
That tone on on the lead. Mean and tight. The perfect contrast. Awesome.
what a great tune!!!!!
DAMN HE LOOKS GOOD! Yes, he is an amazing musician but he looks HELLA-GOOD int his video and in general!!
This song is cerebral , never played for someone who did'nt like, it makes me think I've had some good friends in my life.
Channelling Bowie around 3:20. I love both of them.
This song and album is an Americana Bible passage. As a songwriter, this is my goal
One of my teen guitar idols. Thanks for sharing - that was a first for me. Greatly enjoyed. Cheers 👍😁👍

Sublime... no breath
THE BEAT, EVEN WHEN BEING REMADE, ALWAYS RETURNS TO THE ONE.

Hey, that’s me at 3:13! Good memory
Great southern-style song.

Handsome guy ❤
Charlie's a Great songwriter. I don't think he get's his due for what he does. Could be as big as Jackson Browne
@ebatalis YES! I looked for this for years after hearing it on Kindred lol
Great song, only now finding about his sextant group
OMG I think I rewound and watched 3:28 about 5 times!!!
Charley's dad, Mike, sleepin' on the bus at 1:35
