Yeah ur definitely about 2 teeth off on the cam gear. U can count the exposed teeth on the bottom of the gear. Count how many teeth there are on each side of the dot that are not in the chain, on the right there's 6 on the left there's 8.
@@autoraysgarage8938 thanks...I want to get that - I just been using the internet and a Hayes manual, just started mine up for the first time and the oil pressure gauge is sitting at ZERO!!! so I either have to replace the signal unit, or some this went wrong on the distributor- mine sounds really good tho. hopefully its just unplugged...ill check it out later today
If it was 9.5" to the bottom of the pan and ur suppose to have .125" (eighth inch) clearance then ur pickup should've been around 9"to 9.125" away from the block. U measured it and it was like 7.5" and u moved it the wrong way, u moved it down further to 7" which leaves like 2.5" of clearance...way to high. The pickup seemed kinda loose too, id take the pump back off and tighten the pickup one more rotation then put it back on and set the height.
I'm 15 and just bought my cam for my 318 thanks for the vid bro now I feel confident I can do it
Good luck!
Good video man, I appreciate you doing the work without a bunch of flash and trying to be funny like everyone else.
Nice work man! About to do the same on my 5.9
How dod the engine run, did you ever get it running?
Thanks again for all your videos man! You have really helped me out! Keep it up!
Happy to help!
Great instructional video, thanks!
We ready to see it in the dodge!!
in due time
According to the Chrysler manual it's 50 ft lbs on the cam bolt
How did you install the distributer
you are a champ my guy
i appreciate that
Is There is video with installing Engine oil pump intermediate shaft On that v8 magnum?
No not yet I have some things come up and plans changed so I haven’t finished building that motor. I still plan to but not for a while.

so should be 8 on each side that are not in the chain?
@@autoraysgarage8938 i believe it would be 7 on each side once they're equal
I hate to say this but the cam thrust plate is on backwards.
Ur timing marks looked off once u put the chain on, better fix that.
Nice

it ended up being the switching/sending unit so thats better than what it could have been...
@@troyrogers1236 yeah that book really helpful and glad you got the oil pressure figure out i can't wait to get back working on my motor
@@autoraysgarage8938 what are you putting the dodge motor in?
U didn't put that seal on the timing cover in all the way either, should be flush with the cover, shouldn't see any red.
U better fix that seal bro gonna leak like crazy, would've been better off with the old one.
Never used lock tite to instal a seal

Shit i just looked again and u set it at like 6"/6.5" that's like 3" off bro, way off.
@@EASTSIDE-313 appreciate the info i'm going to pull the pan off again and go back and measure it was real late when i was working on that
