Dodge Magnum 5.9L: Oil Pan Install, Soft Plugs, Timing Cover, Water Pump. This time at the Quick Speed Shop I'm working on the Dodge Magnum 5.9L for my 1980 Dodge W200 restoration project. In this video I install new soft plugs, oil pan, LA style timing cover and water pump. Getting closer to buttoning this thing up and painting it Chrysler turquoise.

Nice Job Cant wait to hear it run. Back in the day we used Indian head Shellac on the freeze out plugs.

I had some of that, but it dried up. I use Permatex now that is really similar.

What was the torque spec for the timing cover?

No idea. I just tightened it by feel, if that makes any sense. Sorry, I'm sure that doesn't help.
