I think both men and women must define the roles within their marriage and hold one another accountable. I was engaged just 3-4 months ago in my last relationship. I had to call it off because my fiancée wanted to be married but just didn’t have a wife’s mentality. The straw that broke the camels back was us moving to a new house over the course of the weekend, and she kept finding these busybody-ass reasons to be anywhere else and doing anything else but helping move, even as my parents, aunts, cousins, and a hired moving guy and his wife helped us (me) move. On the fourth day of moving, after numerous arguments, that she had another excuse for not being at the old house helping move stuff, I broke it off.
Sad thing is, she was by far one of the better options for marriage then most of the women here in Atlanta. Being back out on the dating market made me realize that the majority of women out here aren’t even on that level.
No regrets. Move forward. A selfish woman is not a good partner

Great show, KS. As a single/divorced female, who is in the “danger zone,” I believe there are eligible and qualified Black Men out here. However, it’s contingent on the circle/crowd or who the female exposes herself to, even on dating sites. So it starts with the Woman being honest and becoming in tune with herself. Once a female genuinely discovers this, she will move purposeful and calculated in the relationship realm, based on her report card or self evaluation. For me... it’s a No right now cause I have work to do with self! I discovered post marriage that I had no business getting married at a young age and especially to the person I chose. Backward thinking on my end. We were both broken which created a toxic marriage. So now I’m working on me, due to past experiences.

I had to get some semblance of manhood by being up under brothers, many of whom who were either Muslim or 5 Percenter when I was a teenager. But even with, I was not taught properly about male-female interactions, and what a man's role should be until I got older
That being said, I'm a divorcee but I am very present in my son's life. And he's been taught by me and my brothers that this is a man's world. He even jokes with me that his mom has a lot judgment about things that I do and/or, provide, even if it's good, lol. I have frank conversations with my son; giving him game that I never had.

Some women think they have skills to be a wife, I watched my grandma cook breakfast bring my grandfather his plate then wash the dishes after taking his plate when he was done without speaking with a smile every morning before he would go out to work with his landscaping business. She was always sweet and polite to everyone.

When I try to explain to people who met their spouses BEFORE dating apps they just don't get it. They always suggest sticking to meeting people in person yet they don't realise that a lot of the people they have in mind have a rotation of people they've met ONLINE. When you find yourself a decent loyal person who wants a traditional family online or in person. Cherish them-it's rare these days and you will regret letting them go.

RIP Godfather - I came across KS a couple of years ago and he change my perspective life.
The one thing that stands out amongst the female callers and the "average at best" situation is that our women no matter the level think they're better than the men they date even when they're clearly not. Men have been frustrated with this specifically for decades now. I'm so happy you give the utmost respect to blue collar men because as a man growing up i always respected those men and thought those men in the black community were unnoticed, underrated and under appreciated (if appreciated at all). I found out along time ago that those guys make a killing on the low. Alot of them dress like blue collar dudes with white collar money. Its crazy how women blow those guys off with disrespect because she wants different. Its never the fact your being turned down, its the disrespectful way they talk to men when doing it. I've seen that from black women my whole life...until COVID came knocking.
I see these older unmarried women sit around and talk bad about the younger couples. Everything to say but dont have a man herself. IE.. my girls mom
