    I built an ion thruster using a 30kv color TV high voltage power supply a vertical needle and a piece of tinfoil shaped as a spiral with sharp ends for a 7th grade science fair project. They didn't believe I had built it and disqualified me... didn't discourage me at all.

      There is an interesting design of aircraft, but they rarely talk about it, because this thing is secret. The topic of pulsed plasma thrusters has been developed since the early 60s (see PPT - Pulsed plasma thruster) - they are usually designed for spacecraft. But we will talk about a little-known design - these are plasma propulsion panels for aircraft, where the same Pulsed plasma thruster, but reduced to the size of a pencil and stacked in the form of cells in the panel. The design resembles a conventional plasma TV screen, where there are also discharge cells that activate the glow of pixels on the screen. And plasma propulsion panels have long discharge cells, the arrester has a railgun architecture (just rail contacts or coaxial), and the ionized discharge air is accelerated there by the Lorentz force to enormous speeds - a kind of ramjet engine is obtained. Just imagine! - tens of thousands of small ramjet engines assembled in a panel and firing plasma synchronously with a huge frequency (hundreds of kilohertz). Thus, plasma propulsion panels create lift by pulsed emission of plasma jets from railgun cells. There are tens of thousands of cells in the panel, they shoot at a frequency of hundreds of kilohertz, a huge pulse is obtained, and the plasma swirls the air into toroidal rings - the aircraft is held on this air cushion. Horizontal acceleration is created by the same plasma panels on the sides of the device (they glow, from the side they look like "portholes"). Such devices like "triangle" or "disk" have been observed for a long time, they are mistaken for alien ones - but these are terrestrial devices. They are classified and used for espionage and secret actions. Pulsed electromagnetic technology generates microwave radiation, therefore it is harmful to health. They rarely fly - only military missions. Therefore, they are not suitable for a citizen. This maintained the secrecy. Now they are already declassifying - many people know about this secret technique. When declassified, they will be used for cargo airships. But there is a danger that they are now going to be adapted to deliver small nuclear charges to decision-making centers - such means of delivery are not specified anywhere, are not conventional. This lowers the threshold for starting a war. It would be necessary to declassify them as soon as possible. That's why I'm writing about it. However, I have written before - starting with the book "The Elimination of UFOs" and many articles. 👽👽👽👽👽👽

      @@Pavel_Poluian I have heard rumors of such a thing as well. The thing is, that making dense plasma that glows out of air is a VERY lossy process. There have been tube shaped ion thrusters for a long time and they are not efficient. I just don't think they would get enough thrust to fly a fast powerful military jet that way due to heat losses. Applying high currents to air just produces lots of heat and very little thrust. I would need more evidence of it to be a believer in that particular concept. Your comment is very well written, however.

    • @Pavel_Poluian
      @Pavel_Poluian ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KraussEMUS1 Thanks for understanding))) After studying all the materials about UFOs, it becomes quite obvious that since the late 40s of the twentieth century, a secret project for the development and production of aircraft has been developing in the USA, where the lifting force is created using high-frequency vibration. It all started with the vibrating umbrella-orthopter "Sky Car" by James Pitts, then the umbrella was closed with a dome and devices appeared according to the scheme of conventional electromagnetic vibrating speakers (membrane + inductance) - fragments of the membrane were found by a farmer in Roswell. Then they created piezoelectric motors or with small dischargers on the surface (they glowed all over the body due to air ionization), and now these are aircraft with plasma propulsion panels (because they are angular - that is, with flat surfaces). Thousands of discharge cells are packed tightly in the motor panels - they shoot plasma streams (railgun architecture - coaxial electrodes). The technology is quite mundane - it is known in the smallest details due to information leaks. For example, air ionization in coaxial railgun cells is created with the help of radiation (radioactive polonium is introduced into the metal). Devices of this type were used all 50-60-70-80 for secret missions (they took off, as a rule, from special submarines). With the fall of the USSR, their use by the United States was practically curtailed (in the novel "Little Green Men" by Christopher Buckley, a speechwriter for Bush Sr., a scene is described where the US president decides to curtail the project with "flying saucers"). The curtailment of the project can be recorded by the drop in magnesium consumption in the United States, since such fuel was used in fuel cells (magnesium tapes burned in forced galvanic batteries), this is 2007-2008. However, the development of the technology continued later in the Russian Federation and China (the technology was restored by reverse engineering methods for downed devices). Secrecy, however, remained, and there was no civilian use, because the technology is not suitable for this - harmful microwave from pulsed plasma engines (harm to pilots and the impact on electrical appliances inside and along the flight line). The payload is low (but one nuclear charge will pull.) There is no radio communication - unmanned vehicles can fly and maneuver only according to the program. Previously, there was a narrow application profile - rare spy missions (so that pilots do not receive a lot of radiation). Reconnaissance aircraft of this type were often observed at military bases, missile launch pads and airfields. They were even seen by peaceful explorers in the taiga, where glades were laid for seismic exploration - UFOs flew there to check whether military construction was underway (I myself heard stories about it))). I think this technology will be declassified soon, and cargo airships with flickering round plasma panels on the hull surface will appear in the Arctic sky.

      @@kurtdobson That does not answer the question.... To generate thrust you need to push against something. In a vacuum you have nothing to push on. On earth you can push against air which is why you gain momentum. Without any particles to bounce off, where do you gain your forward momentum?

      @kurtdobson 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ITubeYouK A common misconception. If it were true nothing we put in space would be able to return. The physics principle is that if you accelerate a mass, there’s an equal and opposite force produced. So, rocket engines, ion and other thrusters work fine in space with nothing to push against. This is known as Newton’s third law of thermodynamics.

    • @ITubeYouK
      @ITubeYouK 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@kurtdobson Newton's third law of thermodynamics? The Third Law of Thermodynamics states the following: the entropy of a closed system at thermodynamic equilibrium approaches a constant value when its temperature approaches absolute zero. This constant value cannot depend on any other parameters characterizing the system, such as pressure or applied magnetic field. At absolute zero (zero kelvins) the system must be in a state with the minimum possible energy. This has nothing to do with what you are stating. You are referring to a Mechanics problem.
