  • Perry Smith, MD, is medical director for the stroke program at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Maryland. He’s led the hospital to national recognition for its fast, high-quality stroke care, including certification from The Joint Commission for mechanical thrombectomy, a breakthrough minimally invasive surgical treatment for stroke.

It's so sweet, when at the very end, as he's recalling his case, he's like "it's one I think about a lot." It really shows how much these professionals care about their patients.

Same! I’m currently taking post-baccalaureate courses as I got my degree in a non-science field and neuroscience is, hands down, my best and most favourite unit
      Good luck to you!!

Everyone wants to be a neurologist but not everyone will sacrifice the time to be on.
It's one of the hardest specialties because the study years are longer AND the working time is higher.

As a person who never had good experience with doctors or hospitals, those videos restore my faith in doctors and prove that there are still people who care and know what they are doing.

Hey there 🤗🤗 I have been through really tough times in medical school too. Take a break as many times as you need! I know it is a lot to study, but even small breaks are better than none and go tonthe window or out for a walk...do not just use your break to scroll on the phone. Give your mind and body a true relaxation. So, cherish the importance of having a pause and not studying non stop. Also, think about how you need to be fully present in the moment and find little things to enjoy in this experience, even if it is hard, because this hard time will go away, but you will remain with yourself and you need to be healthy, balanced. Prioritise your health! Nothing deserves your health. If it is TOO MUCH, better take a longer break than sacrifice your health. More hugs. You will make it through with God's help 🤗

well man it all depends. if they told you to see a neurologist it only means that your problem isnt associated with the lens or optic nerve of your eye, its about how its connected to your brain, which pretty much means that the problemis that something in the back of your brain, or maybe your optic chiasm or other parts have an issue which is impacting your vision
