...been a fan of Mark and his band ever since first hearing them in the mid '90s. They weren't grunge or post-grunge formula alternative like what dominated modern rock radio in the couple/few years after Cobain's death (Counting Crows, Seven Mary Three, Bush, Train, et. al.). They also weren't trying to be an American copycat of the Britpop movement (Blur, Oasis, et. al.). They were their own thing, and that's what I liked about them. ...and I very much enjoyed E's selections that he shared from his Amoeba bag -- he gave me some homework to do!
