I really like this way of practicing nineball. How do you handle if you scratch on the break? Do you spot any balls made or do you re-rack? What about an early 9?
Try 7 solids, plus the 8 ball and 2 stripes (10 total). Rack as a 10-ball pack. Break, take ball in hand, and run the solids. 1 point pr. ball, 3 possible bonus points like in nine ball. Thats 11 total. How does that sound?
If you scratch on the break, you can play on as usual. No penalty, and you still get a bonus point if you made a ball on the break. That's my system, but feel free to change according to own preferences.
