I'm an Electronics Technician for the Post Office and this is my main tool I use on the mail processing machines everyday. It has never let me down and it's there when you're in a pinch to get a machine up! I love it!!!

Great tool, maybe the best ever tool set as regards my requirements ! Feels a little dated when compared to the ARC but it does feel solid. The ARC suffers if used in a workshop environment if metal is involved, due to the magnets, however truth be told multitools are and should be used only as a handy backup tool or light DIY. I am now retired so tend to wear my wife’s gift the ARC most days as the newer design is indeed a step forward, however if I only one a single multitool it would have to be the Charge + TTI as you simply cannot go wrong with this tool, it’s as practical as a Wave yet a better EDC for people that appreciate form and function. While the ARC is an exceptional tool, with a modern design the Charge is slightly less compromised. Gets my vote as currently the best all around multitool available today 😮

The extra fine Phillips works great for electrical work. I've been running with the Wave for years. Came in handy in the most divers situations.

After losing my original Wave 😕 and realizing I couldn’t go on living without a multi tool by my side I bought the TTI...buuut exchanged it for the Wave + after more careful consideration. And with the $100 saved purchased upgraded sheath, tool bit extender and micro flashlight and still came out cheaper than the TTI.
IF they would have upgraded the serrated blade to a higher quality steel as well?...might have took the TTI.
But a single stronger blade with hook being the REAL only practical difference wasn’t worth it.

You need the bit extension to go with it.

I just got mine today. Only one disappointment is It doesn't look like the photos in the store adds. The Titanium scales are dull grey without the machining on the raised edges. The Leatherman website and Home Depot that I bought mine shows a darker scale and a machined finish on the raised edge.

For the price you pay for this thing you’d be frightened to even remove it from its sheath. For something that does the exact same job at a fraction of the price I would reach straight for the wave, or the surge which in my opinion trumps the pair of them in all aspects

You know that Leatherman will replace your tool for new if broken, right? I'm just using my 3rd charge... which is 2nd replecament of my first tool, that I have bought 15 years ago... used. Well spend money jn my opinion.

@ablackprep it was out of box but looked and felt brand new. No wear on the pliers or scuffs/scratches on the scales... Even the blades were totally factory. It was a younger guy who sold it to me and I get the feeling he didn't really know what he had... He may have thought it was a wave.

I think most of us can agree that the scissors on the Charge TTI are junk.
It needs one more like the Free P4.

Conclusion: its a Leatherman Wave for knife snobs. If you want to pay twice as much, feel free to do it. Others should buy a Wave, use it, abuse it (respect multitool limits), and if something break sent it for repairs / rinse and repeat. And maybe invest the spare money for real S30V knife from Cold steel like American Lawman or Para 2 from Spyderco.

I’ve been using a charge TTI for 16 years now...like the ergos more than the other leatherman. I’ve got two. Both older versions without the replaceable wire cutters. The knife blade is actually an amazing carver and feather stick maker...and nothing throws sparks like the spine of the leatherman saw. (We cut down a Christmas tree one year out in the bush with the saw, because I forgot the full size saw lol). Anyways great vid, great tool. I literally carry one every single day.

Get the TTI and an S30V flipper. Got the money, spend it. Get all the good stuff. I'm thinking of buying another TTi just to collect. Unopened of course.
