Singing a A1 in a barbershop setting is just insane

My god, their tuning on that last chord is like a buzzsaw in the best possible way
The lead (Daniel) is such a genuine guy! I sang tags with him all night, 2 days before finals night. He is so humble! Even before he had a gold medal. He spend the entire day after the competition and we sang tags till the morning came. To put the cherry on top, he gave me his pitch pipe. I'm so proud of Signature and I know there's more to come.

The little adjustments they make during the last chord to get back in tune with eachother, incredible. They blend perfectly at the end.

They’ll be in Hobart in September for the BHA national convention, just across the pond from NZ!

my high school’s men’s choir got to sing with these guys at new tradition’s show- absolutely incredible dudes and absolutelu incredible singers. so glad they took gold tonight!
That intro though! Daniel setting the song out and those ad libs from Paul definitely makes this one of the best intros I ever heard from a barbershop quartet!

These guys were our teaching quartet at Sunshine District Harmony Explosion two years ago. I'm so excited to finally see them win gold!

I love their singing and music, I love that the music is first and foremost - their physical comedy elevates the music rather than getting in the way
I love to see men enjoying themselves in this way. I love all a capela singing, actually. Maybe the human race puts up with all the ridiculous and terrible parts of human existence on earth so that we can have a few minutes here and there of this type of beautiful human connection. I'm in!

Recently got into Barber shop quartets, went down a rabbit hole and found these guys, and I absolutely love everything that they sing, so beautiful almost brings me to tears

Daniel Cochran might be my new favorite lead. What incredible sound and musicality.
Signature was one of my favorite groups. Thanks Barbershop Harmony Society for providing tickets to SLC residents - my family and I were able to attend most of the events. Also, the performance was in the 'Conference Center' - the Tabernacle is across the street. :)
I was told from 3rd Primary School until 2nd Secondary School to just move my lips and never make a sound for Choir class.
I tried to take a singing for beginners course in University since they said I should have a stage voice. The Mezzosoprano asked me on the first day of lessons if it wasn't too late to get my money back. It was. And she profusedly apologized to me on the second lesson and said that I deserved to have her try since I had said I was a beginner.
I'm learning the piano after my retirement, and so I'm watching music videos to try to make up for lost time.
And I found the trou de lapin (rabbit hole) of Barbershop Quartet. I've seen great videos and amazing vocals.
This was on another level.
I think that the best audience in the world would be other Barbershop Quartets.
Much respect to your community.

@@lawrencetaylor4101 It's essentially the "coda" or last phrase where traditionally one voice sustains, while the others modulate or sing through a number of chords before resolving on a long final chord.

This was originally a Creedence Clearwater Revival Song and written by John Fogherty. Ike and Tina Turner covered it, by which time other people had, like Amen Corner.
You've done a great job of singing it, please put as much effort into crediting the people who originally wrote the song.
Alas, hours after BHS changed the title because of people complaining that Ike and Tina Turner weren't given credit, we have our first "where is CCR's credit" complaint. What fun.
This was so clearly based on the Ike and Tina Turner version that it made sense to credit it that way in the title. Will add more information in the description.

I love this performance, but all of their stuff treats the lead as a true lead and the other guys as backup, doesn’t feel like true barbershop

If you want to get technical, that’s not a CCR cover. It’s an Ike and Tina Turner cover.
Yeah, the nods to Tina in their dance moves makes this very obvious, though CCR was the original.
@@AntacidTrip Well yes, of course CCR did it first. And I wasn't referring to the dance moves. Believe me, they're not coming CLOSE to what the Ikettes were doing behind Tina....lol I was speaking of the arrangement itself. It's practically word for word Ike and Tina's, particularly the speaking introduction.

Yes, they did the Ike and Tina chatter-patter -- but John Fogerty of CCR wrote this lin 1968. FOGERTY and CCR did the original music. [Tina does, however, have definitely better legs. . . ]
