I have been doing 20 hours fast with 4 hours eating window for the past 3 months.I have noticed some weight reduction. Now my BMI is 25.9. But, the weight is stalling despite doing one hour exercise and fast. I am eating mostly veg, chicken, nuts and yoghurt. I have also noticed, I easily gain weight like 500 gm a day if i skip exercise or eat an extra meal during special occasions. I am confused whether this diet pattern has slowed down my metabolism.
While doing prolonged fasting, After a certain period of time, the cells in the body adapts to a power saving mode. And it takes much more time for the cells to come back to the normal mode. So there's a chance of weight gain with less calories itself after prolonged fasting. It may be the reason. Insulin resistance too may contribute.
@@scientifichealthtipsmalayalam I agree with that. How will I reboot my metabolism now.? Doing more exercise than this is not sustainable, and eating less than roughly 800-1000 calories, with a moderately active lifestyle may be harmful. My sugar levels, thyroid function and BP are normal. Thank you for your prompt reply.😊
