The tri exhaust on the Type-R is functional. Only one exhaust works below a certain exhaust pressure and when the pressure rises with RPM it bypasses then center and goes through the two outside tips. This eliminates the need for an electronic valve to make the car quiet.

Heres a good one people love to argue about. Wheels vs Rims. A bike rides on a Rim. A vehicle rides on Wheels. The outer edge of a Wheel is the Rim.

Since you brought up football (or handegg as we europeans call it): for a 3 hour match, there is only 11 minutes of effective play (so 11 minutes of effort produced by (half!) the players). That means Formula 1 is wayyyyyy more of a sport than football is

  • @BlacksterVFX
    @BlacksterVFX 6 ปีที่แล้ว +287

My two cents on the turbo discussion:
    Bi literally means two.
Two people who look the same are called twins.
Therefore any car with 2 turbos is biturbo, but only if they are the same size it should be called twin turbo...

I know that there can be so much turbo lag that you can see the turbo as a short boost and not as a mostly consistant boost, but i mean that they for example push a button in a car in a video game and then they get a quick but short boost out of it and call it turbo. I also often hear them compare other things with a "turbo" like when your pc suddenly runs faster and they say: oh, now the turbo is here. This is what i mean if you didnt get it. I am also german, so its not so easy to describe these things.

Manual transmission rollback: In the 3 years I've been driving on the road (first drove at 13) I've only driven manual cars. For me it is completely instinctive to use the handbrake (e-brake) to hold a car, so I'd suggest people just starting with manuals not to worry too much about forgetting to engage the brake. You'll just get used to doing it.
Given we're getting into basics, I'd also like to offer a few tips. When I can't tell if I'm on a hill or not, I may just hold the foot brake because the hill can't be that bad. However, when I go to take off I'll grab the handbrake while holding the release button down. This avoids any danger of rolling back while taking my foot off the brake and moving to the accelerator. Don't jump from the brake pedal to the accelerator; that's how rollbacks happen.
When I'm actually on a hill I can notice, I'll put the handbrake on almost always. Only if I'm cheating and predicting traffic moving off quickly ahead will I not engage the handbrake. When taking off again, touch the accelerator and bring the clutch up to the bite point. It is after this that I release the handbrake--the car already has enough power to move forward. The way to tell if the car is ready for the handbrake to be removed is if the RPMs drop slightly or if the bonnet (hood) moves up slightly. When you're new to driving you'll have to process this in real time, but try not to make a habit out of this because the clutch and engine is straining against the handbrake. Eventually you'll be able to predict when to release the handbrake, i.e. without thinking I'll press the accelerator, engage the clutch, and release the handbrake all at once. (Sometimes I push this too much and nearly roll backwards, so maybe be more conservative in how quickly you think this can be done.) A tip here, just before you move the car, is to pre-press the release button on the handbrake and pull up on the lever, hold it there for

1:40 you can't have a car in neutral and then gas to go forward, you need to be in first gear to start moving. Constantly changing between neutral and first gear is waisting fuel and bad for cars clutch.
2:37 you can always use the footbreak (especially if you leave the engine on) I think that only in Britain people are taught to use their handbreak whenever they stop. In Sweden and Poland It's perfectly fine to just use footbreak.
2:50 You can't stop and have your car in first gear without turning the engine off or holding the clutch (holding the clutch for more than a couple of seconds is bad and will make it break faster + the car will still be rolling)
Whenever I'm at a stoplight I always change gear to neutral, I hold footbreak and leave cars engine on. I have a Automatic-Start-Stop system in my car but I always turn it off, because turning the engine off and on all the time is bad for fuel economy and will shorten the engines life.

Define in shape, I doubt that the average racer could out run a soccer player, and I doubt that any of them could out muscle a rugby player, racer keep their weight down. They probably just have great endurance in their arms and shoulder and tremendous mental stamina.

If it's functional it's not rice. Plain and simple, it may be a bit extra depending on how the implementation of the feature is executed by the designers, but still functional. Rice is giving the illusion of performance without any benefit. Like the "dual barrel" hood on the 2019 Hellcat appeared to be full functional when really only one of them in an intake. It's not totally bad because it still has some purpose, but it's just really half assed on Mopar's part.

Wait, US driving tests aren’t usually with manual cars? Huh, the more you know.
So, do the same rules apply, as in, if you do your driving test in a manual then you are licensed to drive either manual or automatic cars? But, if you take your test in an automatic car then you can only be qualified to drive automatic cars?
Oh, and what’s to stop you holding the biting point (when using the clutch) to avoid rolling back if you don’t want to use the hand brake?

    1. Everything that involves competition between people based on skills and/or equipment is a sport!
    2. USA should take EU as an example and have separate driving licences. If you take your test on automatic gearbox you can only drive aromatic gear box cars and this must be marked in your licence. If you take your test on manual, you can drive both. Simple, yet very effective.
