@@Impala_babe Same man. I enjoy going around corners way more than shifting, so an automatic allows me to focus more on what I like. It's just a matter of what you prefer
"Who says I wanted an exhaust system? A car can be plenty fun without making every other driver and pedestrian within a 400 foot radius hate your guts."
This guy? He’s just a whiner who can’t get drive. Wisdom is sadly lacking in this post. This is just a rant by a disgruntled nerd who got dissed by the cool kids 😊
Worst argument I've ever seen was a kid saying " if you don't have a car, you don't know anything about cars " and i listened to this and thought, " kid, you are a 13/14 year old child, the only car you own is on Forza " 😂😂😂😂😂😂
tbh, you do learn alot more by owning a car and doing maintenance and working on it. Over time you learn more and more which you wouldn't really in the same way if oyu never owned a car...?
I actually found myself in a similar situation, but it was a little bit the other way around: I have neither a license nor a car, I have played racing games for years, from arcade to simulators, and this dude was sayng i couldn't lap the nordschleife becasue "i didn't have a license so i wouldn't know how to drive a car". i have an H shifetr and clutch on my sim setup, i have a decent understanding of steering, throttle input, ect. I didn't claim I would beat Aytorn Senna on his best, I didn't claim to be a pike's peak engineer, I literally only said that I would be able to lap the Nordschleife (wich plenty of people do almost everyday with no real issues) without crashing. he went on about how "I had no idea about the sensation of speed" (wich I do, I have gone over 150mph in a car as a passenger before) and how i'd shit my pants on the spot. He better believe that if I ever have enough money to do it, i'm dragging his ass with me to germany out of spite
It's like those parents who believe everyone who hasn't had a kid knows absolutely nothing about children, like who do you think knows more about kids, someone who works with kids all day (like a teacher or daycare worker) or someone who didn't use protection?
too add to point #1, learning new different things literally keeps your brain fresh. When you're learning something new, your brain is literally rewiring itself and making new neural pathways, but once those initial pathways are set you'll eventually plateau. It's like going to the gym and doing only arms. You'd have strong arms sure but you're missing out on strong legs, core, stamina, flexibility, etc. It's also fun to learn something new, especially once you start getting good at it.
It’s hilarious I’m a car guy, but my other hobbies are rollercoasters, tornado chasing, and my slam band. I legit told a car guy all my hobbies and he said “ you could use all that money on car parts”. Dude was legit appalled I had other hobbies that I spend the same if not more money on other than my car.
@@arya0794 nope it’s an actual hobby! I go out every spring with some friends and chase. We mainly just get cool photos and report tornadoes so that that emergencies and warnings can get issued. You actually get tornado warnings from storm spotters and chasers.
You read my mind lol. I was like are you saying activities related to cars AKA Motorsports aren’t dangerous?. Safety is the main reason why 99.9% of race cars have roll cages like in WRC and GT or a extremely strong carbon monocoque for open wheel or prototype cars together with fire extinguisher and 6 point harness so I don’t really get their point
There was a car meet near me today. Someone brought a McLaren. Someone else brought a riced out Ford Fiesta. Both cars were celebrated as expressions of automotive passion
@@yono367 more to the point, a car that someone has invested in because they like it is much cooler to me than a car someone built for clout. - especially if the difficulty level is high, like keeping a 50 year old car in like-new condition.
I work with a 89 year old truck guy. We are fixing up (really restoring) a 1949 chevy pickup. He has said he spent his drug and alcohol money on his vehicles. He definitely is mostly a car guy, but he is a machine guy. He raced, and apparently he knee the feel of the vehicles amazingly, but he just stopped racing dirt tracks and stuff. But he also says the best vehicle, is the one that is paid off. He has a credit card but has never paid interest. He is incredibly smart
Not necessarily that’s old way of thinking one that’s paid off doesn’t have a warranty on anything usually. As long as you make your payments on time you’re good. Plus you’re building good credit which you can use in the future if you ever do want to buy a nice house or something like that
"You don't deserve that car" tells me a guy because I drive safe and speed limit and I take it to the dealer for maintanance rather than doing it myself.... meanwhile he abuses his car, doesn't change tires and says "this car was built for this bro"
I do everything myself because dealers are a rip off. Scat pack brake and rotor change was $1500. Did it myself for $320 and 1.5 hours of work. 45 of it was youtube, 15 minutes a side.
@@gameplayer2014 Having a service record is good if you need to share your car with others. For an older car or a modified car, though, doing maintainence yourself is pretty important.
Well, ahem, I sometimes bend the speed limits a bit, but only in a safe manner. Sometimes I even do my own maintenance. The only people who don’t deserve a car are the ones who don’t maintain, or care for the car, or just beat the 💩 out of a nice car because they will always get the parents to buy another one, or they’re just overbearing jerks who need to feel superior to someone while they failed miserably at everything
The worst one is the people who own a car and say that people who don't have a car are not allowed to have opinions on people's cars and their opinion is irrelevant. Then say that they're what's wrong with today's car community. That's such bullcrap, saying someone's opinion is irrelevant because they don't have a car. It completely ignores the fact that it takes time to grow up and it takes money to buy cars. It really makes me upset. They are the absolute worst, and that kind of gatekeeping is the real problem with today's car community.
Agreed. For things as simple as the look of the car those people will not accept opinions from those who don't own one, like if having a pair of eyes is illegal now.
And unusual in my experience. I would suspect that the people who would do this are promoting evs or don’t think that anyone with less money should have an opinion. The are not car people. Go to a show, a race, or something like that and talk to people, admire the cars, you’ll find nice people eager to share their experiences with you
Yeeaah, I like almost anything with an engine, some wheels (optional), and goes kinda fast😂. Also am interested in home renovation and interior design (so there goes a new crate engine) And even computer/electronics repair or assembly (awh man another exhaust down the drain with this) Even audio, where you can spend 10k on 1 speaker😂 But I’ve never seen that “real car guys only have one hobby” bs, even on tiktok
@@TomGT59Tom only the truly obsessed ones think like that. I drive an 18 year old Audi S4 cabrio, because it’s paid for and the repairs are less than the interest on a new one. Plus mine’s got a honkin’ V-8 and awd. It’s faaasttt 😂
I don't get how people can wrap themselves up in one hobby and ONLY one hobby, I have like 6-7 hobbies and every person I've spoken to finds me interesting because of the hobbies I have. Plus if for some reason I wanna take a break from being a car guy or stop completely, I have 6 other things I can now devote time to.
Exactly. I find people with only one thing they care about to be extremely boring. Like come on man I like metal too but can we talk about something else for once? I like music, cars, motorcycles, video games, mtg, reading etc. There's so much more to life than just one thing.
There definitely is, and I'll never understand how people choose to involve themselves in one thing only, variety is the spice of life as they say but I guess some people don't want that
I have lot of hobbies because of low attention span and it keeps me broke, but I got a lot of friends because of it from those different hobbies. And when I was younger I had a lot of vices, the hobbies keep me busy and grounded.
This reminds me of some GFs some buddies had. They dropped of the face of earth for most of their time, because their girls ONLY hobby was their current BF. So if my buddy wanted to do anything at all that wouldn't include her, she was super pissed.
Can we just say...... man bladed you sneaky boy adding Zenless Zone Zero theme music in this video. No hate tho cuz its chilly and I completely like it in this video.

I also wanted an Evo VII GTA for a daily. I said "I have an evo because I want to go fast, not because of the transmission". People in my country drive manuals that would make those fanboys cry and beg for mercy
@@JABelms My Subaru WRX CVT is more "JDM" than the 6MT considering that it's got the 2.0 and those were CVT only in Japan. Funny enough, the car has more RWD bias in its AWD system so it's sportier on paper too. I think a lot of the JDM hype comes from video games and kids do not really understanding just how important comfort is because they think that's what normies go after. In America at least, enthusiasts forgot what made these rally-inspired cars great, it wasn't the manual transmission. It was the turbocharged four pot that was connected to an AWD system that was usually only available on 4x4s or (actually good) SUVs.
I do think the bare minimum for being a "car guy" is owning a car, and it doesnt even need to be anything special, could even be a boring grocery getter. otherwise I would rather use "enthusiast"
@@yono367my parents won't let me get a project car until I am 18, even if I buy it with my own money. Also, I learned that there is no point in modifying the prius that my parents have bought for me to drive and I am instead saving for something worth spending money on. On the bright side, just two years to go until I can buy a project if things work out
@@yono367Sir, with respect, I beg to differ. Owning a car etc.. is not a necessary requirement. I was a car guy before I was able to own a car. I read books and magazines about cars constantly. But the good thing about that was that it led me into the history of cars and then everything else, the politics around cars, how they worked in war and peace and many other things, but it all started with cars
Also I hear a lot of non carguys tell me how dangerous driving a fast car is, while they also have "dangerous" hobbys. And actually driving fast is one of my less dangerous hobbys. I´ve been skiing and riding horses, when I was a kid already, and thats way more dangerous.
Absolutely right. I would never bungee jump, fly a parachute glider, or jump off a building with a parachute. And those are just a few of the hobbies that are far more dangerous than driving a little fast. Race track speeds are for the track and not the street. On a track most of the really bad things to run into are removed. And even your mom’s econobox will go fast enough to really make a mess of the human body.
The most obnoxious thing about the car community is the dehumanization and harassment of people who prefer electric over gas and making their whole personality around hating EVs.
I used to be like this but I think a lot of it is just resentment over the fact that it seems like we will be forced into EVs rather than given the choice. If EVs were genuinely superior than ICE cars then I don't think that this would be as much of an issue as it is now, but the legislation that clearly favors it is pretty upsetting to a lot of younger enthusiasts who want that opportunity to understand what driving a gasoline car feels like. Additionally, a lot of EV supporters tend to be stereotyped as "anti-car" or "tech bros" when that's not always the case. Current EV trends like the touchscreen stuff and subscriptions put off a lot of people too... it's a complex issue but it's very sad to see what should have been a new genre of car to get excited over ruined by outside forces.
@@MidnightGreen4649 Yeah I agree with you and it sucks that government meddling has given EVs a bad name. I’ll always love ICE cars and I want them to stick around as long as possible but I appreciate EVs for being different and want them to stick around too.

I drive a Abarth spider and I love it but didn’t do shit for it except being lucky having a dad that bought it for me for some strange reason
My mom got me a WRX. I think that saying you don't deserve your car is a bit silly because clearly your parents thought you could handle the responsibility. There is no shame at all in being privileged despite what assholes say online and in the real world. There is only shame in not paying it forward.(obviously dont give a homeless dude your life savings but yk what I mean) Off topic, but I might be interested in a Abarth Spider as a car after college. I really want something that has that connected, lightweight feeling but isn't a Miata. Is it a good car? How does the steering feel and all?
Being able to buy a car isn't what makes you worthy of it. Appreciating it for what it's worth and what it was built for, taking care of it, knowing the limits of both yourself and the car and being humble enough not to recklessly push them; that's what truly makes you deserving of sitting behind the wheel.
@@MidnightGreen4649 I don't own one so don't take it as a certified truth, but I'd assume the fact it's both rather short and fairly tall doesn't make it very stable. Might make it pretty nimble tho.

I have a story to tell relating to point 4. Funny enough, I am exactly 22 now, and I feel like I didn't really live a life before because of my immaturity prior to now. When I was a young teen, I very much got into Tuner culture. Because of the F&F and NFS, my dream car for a number of years was the MK4 Supra. I could ramble your head off about the 2JZ, about how the Supra could beat a Bugatti if you just tuned it to the moon, etc. As I grew up, I got interested in architecture, specifically Baroque architecture. I liked old European castles, cathedral's, and chruches. Then I got into Art Deco art and architecture (it was prevalent in America in the 20s-50s), and I absolutely fell in love with it. With that, I found my interest in cars changing. If you gave me the choice between a MK4 Supra with an 800hp 2JZ now, or a 1937 Cord 812 with 175hp (which was a LOT in 1937) then I would take the Cord in a heartbeat. My dream car is a 1949 Cadillac Sedanette; that (other than LS swapping it) I want to keep in retro looking condition. Long story short, I love really old cars now, and I can't find too many people (especially in my age bracket) who like the same cars I do. Someone in fact told me once, that I need to "Get with the times grandpa." Or that "The cars you like are old enough to be your grandpa." I am a fake car guy supposedly, because the hot rod era has passed us. I related to this video a lot.
20 y/o here. The good news is, you could probably find your dream car for relatively cheap as long as you know the right guys. With how expensive tuners are, if I had that kind of cash I'd rather just buy an old supercar. A lot of my favorites are obscure enough to still be (relatively) cheap.
In the car community, it’s great to have an open mind and to understand that some are newbies who don’t know manual, but ruling out automatics, DCTs, and semis is just unnatural. Keep an open mind but not so open that V6 chargers with a gender reveal party ass wrap and straight piped are ok.
Having a CVT really opened my eyes to the bullshit. I still want my next car to be a 3 pedal but I am not giving up my current car because I love driving it. And I've probably driven my car a lot harder than most of these bros who have a "raw driver's car".
@@LuckyQuadrifoglio yeah, and? I like my car. Okay, one thing There is a clause for people that “don’t deserve” their car Specifically it’s someone who either, has a car for the wrong reasons, or uses it improperly. Maybe this does fall into that cultist mindset, but abuse of something someone else could treasure, in my eyes, makes it seem like “you don’t deserve that car” Whistlindiesel is in a weird limbo when it comes to this though, I don’t know how to feel about him…
If someone does it "safely" and pays for it, I don't think there's a problem. A rare car that not many people have anymore, or cheapskate it, definitely Is a different story.
You're not wrong. Use what you bought however you want. My problem is is that when I abuse my hellcat, she tells me when I'm fuckin up. And I let off and she's happy again. I respect her. It's the people who don't respect their shit and destroy it that don't deserve their car. Use that money and help some unfortunate animal and be a good person, not a douche.
whistlin diesel doesn't destroy extremely rare cars so I don't have a problem with it. most cars he destroys are mass produced or have a fairly high production count

last point is extremely valid, I get shamed on by car guys(who sometimes do not even own a car) for driving an electric car despite loving cars since a kid, in europe it is simply cheaper to own and maintain an electric car. yeah they're not really fun to drive, but it's pretty insane how close-minded car guys really are tbh, especially with how expensive it is for what still is just a hobby. edit: just want to add that most of these car guys don't even know how expensive "car guy cars" are when you're still a university student
I love the advice about “not having a real car guy car” as someone who drives a 90s Toyota, yes it’s essentially a “Grocery getter” sure, but it’s mine, and I like it.
Recently I moved to alaska to pursue my dream with my wife. We live on the Kenai Pinensula, and it is truly one of the most fulfilling experiences ever! Unfortunately, wisdom led me to sell my beloved civic and buy a crossover. I got the HR-V because it's still on the same platform as the civic, and it has what I need to handle the environment. (Like truly, snow, gravel, potholes, sand, storing supplies, etc.) Not that the civic wouldn't have made it, but I made the sacrifice of selling my civic so that I could get a different vehicle that allows me to go a bit further into various outdoor hobbies that otherwise would have just chewed up the fenders of my 'car guy car.' I love this thing, no it's not quick. Slow as a potato, but I did what I can to spice up its styling, and I'm still finding fellow car enthusiasts to talk with. Love the content bladed!
As someone who has an ingrained tendency to get weird about interests and hobbies I appreciate a good reminder and call to be normal about things. Stuff can be simply fun and not that deep and that's ok
With point number 4 I do have a slight disagreement, if you are into cars you should at least get to the point of buying a "car guy car" you dont have to take out a loan or spend 70k to get one, i have 9k USD into my trans am and its restored with a new paint job, new interior and rebuilt motor, i did all the work myself, having said that if you like your 2010 VW Passat and dump money into it, still daily drive it and that makes you happy...fine...but in the grand scheme of things its a waste of money and time because its not an enthusiast car it will not hold value nor is it an exciting car in any way, it doesnt mean they arent a car guy nor would i look down on them, but im saying this in the sense of at SOME point you should get something more enthusiast oriented hell go get an EK civic with a manual and a D series for like 5k at least you can have fun with it until you want to spend some money on it
That life lesson speech was pretty good, thanks for not editing that out! And me as a teen would not try to play with my body like a toy and test out different drugs, all for what that could do to me in the future. And I don't see that future being bright if I go down the dark path that many drug addicts went down.
Yeah Bladed you are so damn right. You are speaking facts. As for me, I love cars, but among all of my friends I am the only car enthusiast, because connecting with non car people is way more easy. Hey Bladed, I especially love your videos about bad/good driving habits and etiquette. Just an idea - maybe a video about what to do in an accident - maybe from fender benders to more serious situations. Thanks for all the amazing videos!
4:38 I do believe that some people do not deserve the car that they bought or plan on buying. Now first off, you are not wrong, the owner doesn't need to know every fun fact and detail of their car. But if some dude decides to buy a well-kept, maintained, waxed, and garaged car only for it to be a junker within a year, then they definitely don't deserve it. Paying $20k-$30k only for them to leave it outside, getting crapaped on, dirt, dust, and tree sap, letting it get burned in the sun and body dent and curbed, and for it to be worth $5k because of neglect and poor maintenance is so easily avoidable. Buy a high mileage car, or one with a salvage title, or one that isn't showroom quality. Obviously, buy a car that you feel confrontable, don't buy one with a bent frame because you plan on drifting it. Dude building computers is what got me INTO wanting to learn more about cars. Cars are Macro, PCs are Micro, but both are very similar from a hobbiest perspective!
I relate to the last entry the most... most of my car guy friends aren't very easily pleased, they think most cars are lame and have no interest in broadening their interest or learning more about them. Once they've formed their opinion about something there is no changing it. I think the car community in general needs to be more open minded, the fact we can own and operate 2 ton vehicles that can go 100 mph + is something we should take more pride in and be more appreciative of. That can also go for non car enthusiasts. Take pride and responsibility of owning a machine, or you're the lame one
Awesome point about having other hobbies is good. This relates to any other genre as well...if someone is so into something that it's the only thing they want to talk about, it gets old really fast.
Well gee thanks, I'm not depressed enough about how much money I have in my car and how I've managed to make everything in my life revolve around it, and the fact that it's still not totally drivable after dumping tens of thousands into it, whilst working 7 days a week trying to still find time to work on it.

The most obnoxious thing about the car community is the dehumanization and harassment of people who prefer electric over gas and making their whole personality around hating EVs.
It happens with a lot. ICE v EV, Manual v Automatic, brand v brand etc, just sucks

I related to this video a lot.

i feel very lucky i only got online well after i had watched a lot of Top Gear. That show really broadened my love of cars from supercars to just about everything. I still get excited watching old reviews of obscure supercars, like the Nobles and TVRs and Marcos.
I never expected any youtuber to summarize the big issues among people these days at the presumably for entertainment only video, great work. Sorry english isnt my first language
Also, by car community standards and motorcycle community standards I’m spend my money like an idiot. But on the contrary I have a shit ton of fun with my paid off 2023 Polaris Slingshot & 2019 Yamaha Niken GT! Buy what you like and what you can afford and you’ll never regret it!
I had to look up the niken and I've gotta say that is a sick looking bike
Not mine, but my dad has a 1993 Yamaha V-Max, he dailies it in the summer, and he loves it and I love riding on it! It is STUPID FAST!
As an artist with shooting skills in my head from 2 years ago i feel like an human car guy.
When someone’s hobby or interests become their personality they’re cringe
i starte dfollowing you just because of the car content, but as the months and now years have passed, you have become one of my absolute favorite creators, not just because your content is entretaining, but your lessons and wisdom is unmatched by most people, yeah you are centered around cars, but every little detail outside of them makes you unique, wise, and i cound be here praising you for a while but you probably already know that, never missed a video i spec to never miss one, Cheers man
Well random fact, you are likely to die a Ferrari than a F-18. Also, its more likely that someone destroy a supercar than a F-18
As an R33 GT-R owner, I 100% agree with the assessment that females or non-car-people see it as, simply, a weird, old Nissan.
oh nah at 1:14 the SUV literally crossed the double solid yellow line and went onto oncoming traffic 😭
1st of all... that is not a SUV that is a Chevy Silverado 2500 with a shell.
2nd of all... only 2 of they're tires crossed the line it not ikr the whole truck was over it.
3rd of all... there was no fucking on coming traffic.
@@K-44467 it crossed all four of its wheels
Technically it having a shell turns it into an suv and trucks and suvs are basically the same@@K-44467
12:14 i fully agree with the statement of not going in financial debt over a car. Thats why i (and so many others) love cheap project cars. At least the daily (should) get you around to work/school/wtvr but the project is where the money goes slowly and where the most enjoyment is for myself, in the shop making something cool
Im a simple man, i see r33 skyline, i click.
I agree with #1, I hate when people, friends, ect say "You couldve saved that for your car". My other hobbies include kayaking, photography, cooking, and landscaping
I met a guy once and we got along very well talking about cars, but when I asked about what other interests he had, he said that he can't keep up with more than one hobby. He was astonished when I told him I was into cars, guns, playing guitar and drums, watching hockey, football and baseball, building PCs, and content creation. He told me he couldn't imagine having to balance that many interests, and that was the first time I found out that single interested people like him actually exist lol. I thought that "cars are my only interest" people were just memeing lol
My man 🤝Im also into guns, guitar, drums, tech, and content creation.
@@rexraptorsaur Hell yeah bro💪 You own any firearms? Wondering what you've got if anything, I'm looking to expand my collection but I've only got a CZ75 at the moment. It's so much fun to shoot
@@MyNameIsNidos Just a 9mm pistol that became mine when I turned 18 this year. We don’t get to go shooting often so I forgot what specifically, only twice a year cause we’re so busy. I’ve shot just some pistols and my dad’s shotgun. Will look into having my own little collection once I’m able, though
@@rexraptorsaur Love to hear it man, hope that collection grows soon! Take care brother
I've long since stopped talking to "car guys" because of the "you're a fake car guy". The list was endless on what made a "fake car guy". I still passionately love cars and their engineering but damn.. Interacting with people over them sucks.
only seen the first one so far and holy that couldnt be closer to the truth! I like metal, cars, guitars (tied to metal but still), anime, farming and going to the gym. I used to only be into metal and everything else I felt like cheating metal, like it was my wife. then I started watching anime, then I started having friends who are into cars, which made me look up cars more as I wanted to understand their latin and that actually made me feel better about myself.
I agree with the first point so much. Having different hobbies is actually really fun. For me I've been loving music, play a sport, nerd out on pc's, and I've started photography a few months ago. I've been able to make tons of friends with similar interests and its always nice to talk to someone about a common hobby.

As an asian zoomer whos into PCs, cars and anime this channel really connects with me lol. Thx for the great content ❤
The most I literally hate is some dumb Cultists of car related was "Oh that car is always a king!" I'm from Malaysia. But, most people say "Perodua Myvi is still king!"
And I was like "am I gonna care about it?"
I personally like anime and gaming as well somehow...
Myvi king is just a joke I think
I never took that seriously lol
In fact, I never thought someone would take that seriously.
Anyways, what anime are you watching? I think the 模擬後宮生活 is pretty damn underrated, barely got any people talk about it.
@@iamcarl4591 yeah. Most of it is a picture of the Myvi crash to something. And I was like "what are you guys doing?"
Fellow malaysian here , at this point in time ." Myvi is King" is a long joke already . I don't take it seriously .
I don't keep up with the car community as much cause I have other hobbies like gaming , a bit of anime (not soo into just a tiny bit) and collecting diecast cars .
@@mansongamingz7559 yeah. I didn't even get that car. But, driving a car already is Okay for me.
It's a joke pointing out how myvi drivers are usually assholes on the road. They think they're the king of the road
you are like the most REAL person ive seen and its great to see you not just doing car stuff in your videos and actually just being real
Okay, one thing
There is a clause for people that “don’t deserve” their car
Specifically it’s someone who either, has a car for the wrong reasons, or uses it improperly.
Maybe this does fall into that cultist mindset, but abuse of something someone else could treasure, in my eyes, makes it seem like “you don’t deserve that car”
Whistlindiesel is in a weird limbo when it comes to this though, I don’t know how to feel about him…
If someone does it "safely" and pays for it, I don't think there's a problem. A rare car that not many people have anymore, or cheapskate it, definitely Is a different story.
This. The waste of resources and abuse of items people value is heartbreaking.
@@KTONGAMESHe did wreck two R32 GT-Rs, just to piss people off. His Ferrari also burned down, but that wasn't intentional.
this video is actual one of the best and realist video I have ever watched. I can tell you are actually doing this because you want to, The complete wisdom and truth being spoken here is insane. You don't appeal to any side and just share your own opinion. I love this type of content. A human sharing there thoughts to a wide spread audience.
last point is extremely valid, I get shamed on by car guys(who sometimes do not even own a car) for driving an electric car despite loving cars since a kid, in europe it is simply cheaper to own and maintain an electric car. yeah they're not really fun to drive, but it's pretty insane how close-minded car guys really are tbh, especially with how expensive it is for what still is just a hobby.
edit: just want to add that most of these car guys don't even know how expensive "car guy cars" are when you're still a university student
I love the advice about “not having a real car guy car” as someone who drives a 90s Toyota, yes it’s essentially a “Grocery getter” sure, but it’s mine, and I like it.

I thought this channel was cringe at first and I grew up. Love your content Angel.
Babe wake up bladed uploaded 🎉
Recently I moved to alaska to pursue my dream with my wife. We live on the Kenai Pinensula, and it is truly one of the most fulfilling experiences ever! Unfortunately, wisdom led me to sell my beloved civic and buy a crossover.
I got the HR-V because it's still on the same platform as the civic, and it has what I need to handle the environment. (Like truly, snow, gravel, potholes, sand, storing supplies, etc.)
Not that the civic wouldn't have made it, but I made the sacrifice of selling my civic so that I could get a different vehicle that allows me to go a bit further into various outdoor hobbies that otherwise would have just chewed up the fenders of my 'car guy car.'
I love this thing, no it's not quick.
Cars are my inexpensive hobby. Warhammer is my expensive hobby. 😁

Sometimes I get sad that I found this channel pretty late but am happy that I am growing my ideals from this wise elder.
I like cars
cool I do to
Yeah Bladed you are so damn right. You are speaking facts. As for me, I love cars, but among all of my friends I am the only car enthusiast, because connecting with non car people is way more easy. I have multiple other hobbies, like I am on a sports team at school, skateboarding or aviation. In fact I want to become a commercial pilot once I have finished school.
saw the "uploaded 18 sec ago" and had to click
On being a stupid kid there is a quote form a Red VS Blue back in 2008 that has stuck with me since it first came out.
"Take you current age, subtract ten years. Where you smart back then? No, you were a god damn idiot."
Every time I think about this it has remained true.
This guy is a real car guy
I don't care about milage, just maintenance and care
Also ya you dont need a car guy car to be a car guy, but you do need a car guy car to brag about or show off or whatever, but it definitely doesn't need to be a $50k to $100k car. Just go to facebook market and get a 4th gen Mustang or whatever for $5k and boom, you have a car guy car. Or it can be something unique and different, like a 74 Lincon Continental. It just anything that isn't basic traffic.
Also Vanossgaming supremacy
I have one of those friends who thinks he knows everything better than everyone. His parents bought him a 2020 nissan sentra. Now he thinks he knows everything about cars and even started making up car terms.
My car and gun hobbies are constantly fighting for my income

Street racers don't need girlfriends! We are the ,,Lonely Drivers"!
Me: *Breaths*
Others: "You are not a real Car Guy"

Awesome point about having other hobbies is good. This relates to any other genre as well...if someone is so into something that it's the only thing they want to talk about, it gets old really fast.
This is random but I love your channel. It perfect to watch when I eat dinner.
Just wanna say I love your videos. Always here for the content man! Keep it up
Well gee thanks, I'm not depressed enough about how much money I have in my car and how I've managed to make everything in my life revolve around it, and the fact that it's still not totally drivable after dumping tens of thousands into it, whilst working 7 days a week trying to still find time to work on it.
I like that you used a Motoguzzi as a picture reference when talking about motorcycles!
Can't relate to this video because I don't go to car meets, but it's crazy how cultists think!
Bladed speaking so much wisdom in this video.
With the first point, look at big YTer's. Adam LZ has bmx, Cleetus has planes/boats, etc. Having other hobbies keeps you sane, imo.
zzz music made me think I had the game open lmao
I feel like a secret to my local car scene is that if there is a work vehicle such as semi's or busses it's just common sense to let them through when u don't have to because they have time limits and we dont
The thing is with most of the people who are like this don’t know much about the specifics. Now I have several hobbies like model railways and sports but I’ve talked to people who think they know more about cars than me because I’m just not in the mood or something but most the time they know nothing or very little about compression ratios or lean fuel running and even straight cut gears. But this may just be me for being in a car guy family.
That life lesson talk is definitely needed for some people 🤣
For me the only thing I do that’s questionable to my bodies health is how much I run and maybe unhealthy diet, but I’m definitely glad I’ve stayed away from drugs basically entirely. I’ve had edibles twice, it’s fun but no reason to make it a thing you feel like you should do often
