    You’re a man after my own heart.... not afraid to tackle most any project and see it through, low budget ooohh yeah, no other way. It goes to show that with some persistence, the right knowledge, and patience you can produce a high quality product. I’m impressed with your trouble shooting of the Bentley electrical system.... awesome!

    You did a perfect job on repairing the front bumper. I didn’t know all the stages and mixing the products.Then there is your time. You know what you’re doing. You can’t rush jobs like that. I would pay you $. X 3 Well worth it. Can’t wait for you to install it.

    Little tip, I've done a ton of soldering gun bumper welding, removing the paint around the cracks helped a lot! It doesn't blend well when melted into the bumper.. and tends to crack easily. Good luck next time

    The paintwork looks amazing. The Bentley is a beautiful car, fortunately there’s not too much Volkswagen D.N.A. in this model compared to the new ones, where there’s a lot of dipping in the parts bin.

    0:25 We did "see" you playing the violin, however the music we heard was a recording of violin and piano played by two other people. You can't fool us, 4 Lane, unless you plan to run for Governor, in which case we would expect you to tell us you secretly play all the instruments in the orchestra, while being a super hero as you drive your Bentleymobile around to rescue helpless damsels in distress.

    I expect Bentley Motors would not allow any of its cars to leave its factory in Goodwood with any mismatch in paint colour on the body. Plasticiser in the base or clear coats. That would be unthinkable for what is effectively a bespoke car manufacturer.

    trying to email you back but the computer is stupid. Start with the 80s and 90s model Rolls Royces and Bentleys. CHEAP and GM parts. Aside from that they are everywhere. craigslist too. The phantom and ghost are hard to get. Spurs spirits and Corniches are not so bad.

    Instead of using black spray to highlight the imperfections why not use a very bright light when it's dusk from the side that will highlight any even the tiniest imperfections save you messing around with black paint

    • @4LaneBlacktop

      The guide coat is the way to go. It shows you everything. You could do the light method but you stand a chance of missing something. Plus the guide coat lets you know when to stop sanding so you dont sand thru the primer.

    • @4LaneBlacktop
      @4LaneBlacktop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only use it for primer. They are great for that. You have to take them apart, clean them, and reseal them for them to work good. I spray paint with a DeVillbiss gfg670.

    • @weaverhchrist
      @weaverhchrist 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There ya go. I use an old MAC (same as an Astro) for primer which is not much better (if at all) which I managed to get so the fan is even. I use a SATA NR-95 or an Iwata W-101 for base and a W-400 or a the SATA NR-95 for clear.
