I'm a new player, and literally ANYONE can BODY me, plus I play solo, so whenever a galleon finds me I'm just looking at my innevitable demise. Despite that, I just don't understand why people say it's toxic to pillage ships, that's part of the fun. The game is called SEA OF THIEVES, why would you complain there are thieves in your sea? That's the game you paid for. I will grow to be able to hold myself better, and despite being bullied by anyone who finds me, I don't think it's toxic to pillage anyone.
@@kael7776 Give it time. Been called various curse words by various people while they sink the last 2 hours of stacking with a go f*beep*k yourself. Kinda ruins the fun. Got close to 800 hours. How I've kept alive as a solo sloop in high seas: keep a eye on the horizon, don't stay too long parked on a island and finally don't stack your loot, sell small increments quickly so if you are sunk you've not lost out of hours of work. Not every encounter I've been in game has been immediately hostile, but you need to put yourself out there and talk. But in the end if you gotta fight, fight back even if your out numbered, win or lose, that's pvp experience for the next encounter.
@@matthewrivera2229 it takes time but basically you need to turn the wheel about half or three quarters of the way so that your ship can you just sail itself around the perimeter of the island, No anchor, sails halfway or more raised. Thank you! This will help me and my friend a lot when it will come out on PlayStation on 30th April!! I always wanted to play this game and finally i have the opportunity!
I’ve just started playing (solo currently). While I am enjoying it so far in PvE I have one negative. When I get attacked by skeleton ships, if I get to outposts or ports, they still attack. They’ll even circle the area & take shots whenever I’m in view. No honor amongst bonebags I reckon lol
Unfortunately the video was not very useful for me. I would like to have more information about the gameplay loop and the different ship tasks and so on. Also you talk a lot about about different events and their rewards, but say nothing about what the different currencies are actually for.
Do you think this game can be played fully and be fully immeresed on a steam deck? I have played a few hours and saw that pvp is quiet hard of course and i got carried by the crew.
So I've just started the game and i went around and looted the island i started at after completing the tutorial, but i can't find where to sell all my food/cannonballs/fireworks etc
You dont sell the cannonballs food and fireworks, you keep them on your ship for the time you play on the server. You only sell the chests and small things
I've been playing for about 2 weeks. If you play this game solo, you are at a HUGE disadvantage in many ways. I just found out that if your character actually loads into the game before the loading screen goes away and you gain control back. So, if you get raided by a better player or even 2 players at once, you're done for with no way out. They can board your ship and kill you over and over and over and over and over. Just know that many times players don't care about stealing your loot or sinking your ship. They physically want to prevent you from playing the game. They can see you respawn before you gain control of your character and therefore can start attacking you immediately and they can just stand there doing it over and over and over, basically until they get bored. And dying and respawning is the slowest process ever. It's sometimes 15-20 seconds before you can actually respawn
i’m late and have played barely any but i’ll give you my beginners experience. I played for 3 hours and only got attacked once. i might have been able to sink the person attacking me but i accidentally ran into an outpost and got stuck. lucky i had just sold the siren skull so all they got was a cheap chest
Don't forget that if you pre-order the game before the 12th, you get to participate in the open beta on the 12th-15th and you also get to start playing the game 5 days before the actual release date. This swabbie can't wait 😁
Im so happy that i found this but i have a question for u what is the max rep for each trading company? and if i sell to the the sorveigns can i sell reapers bones loot there too?
Well, wouldn't really say the Outposts are "safe havens" since players are still a danger and can steal your loot in High Seas. I can remember while selling my loot and buying cosmetics...I went back to my sloop to find it on fire, I suspected some players threw fire bombs onto it XD
I’m here for the PS5 release the month, I have a hypothetical question to anyone here; if I were to start off brand new, take a sloop by myself and go fishing, what are the chances I could meet another crew and fairly trade my cooked fish for loot?
