I got the 502B (non-portable) I see that acoustic foam inside - i ripped all mine out - it was weaker than fairy floss and fell apart easier. Replaced it with an acoustic carpet. No cabinet rattle tho. Sub is best for cinema use - those deep rumbles etc.
I bought a used Behringer iNuke nu1000 and use it in bridge mode. At 8 ohms it's probably around 500 watts...but in my opinion you could safely go higher as my first gig with the system I couldn't run the kick too hot without clipping at the amp.
