    Looks pretty awesome, but my brain already hurts. Seems challenging to show-and-tell all of this in an accessible way to guitarists without extensive midi insight. You are doing a great job, and I hope you will manage to break it down in need-to-know and nice-to-know sections by release time, maybe one function per video. And maybe work out some "quick start" presets, that can get most going without too much menu diving beforehand, so we don't lose engagement from option paralysis. This really has incredible potential for guitarists who want to use their knowledge of the guitar to play and compose with software instruments.

      Hey! Thanks. Yes, this is meant as a broad strokes here-is-where-you-find -this for the potentially 20.000 people on that first signup list. There is a lot of inpatiance here to deal with. So instead of hearing about what is, and what isn't here, from poeppeople guessing, I thought I provide a little overview map. I most certainly am going to go into specifics on almost all of these functions down the line, in dedicated bitesize chunks. And we already have "quick start"-presets that should work as a backdrop for explaning stuff. But we can't release everything at once, for the first batch of beta testers. That's most likely just a waste of resources. Let's get past the hurdles of brackscreens and obstructing mail servers first. I also believe in its potential, but we need to take everything one step at a time too. 😀👍

    This is terrific , answers a lot of questions and creates some new ones , I just don't know what they are yet , but seeing is believing , the take away moments are the lightbulb ! we all experience when we see how another user integrates their setup and then off we go to explore and create , and then the questions will come , this is a great new development in Midi guitar ! Bravo !

      There will be new videos, new questions, changes and improvements for a while. But at least there is something happening, right? I am so happy to see so many embracing this. It is by no means a given, since JamOrigin obviously don’t rely on the hyperbole tactics that is advertising today. Showing what can be made, by showing how it is done is old school, but it is something I can agree with. I can only hope it becomes fashionabla again. 😀👍

    Looks fantastic, but I'd really like to know what the options are for the MIDI OUTPUT module. Please, please tell me that there's a way of switching through MIDI output channels 🤩

    • @lofileif
      @lofileif  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For Old legacy MIDI 1.0, you can obviously switch to whatever MIDI channel you want to use. MPE works differently as it sends notes-per-channel. That mean that you are using all MIDI Channels at once in MPE mode. You switch between these modes on the MIDI OUT module. But, to your question, yes! 👍

      Initially there was a newsletter for all previous owners, and anyone interested really, to sign up to. And as the beta was announced, letter were sent out people on that list. Anyone with a previous license could then ask for a serial to unlock their beta. I don't know when the next batch of letters is going out, Iif you buy now, and sign up to the newsletter, but I imagine you cold probably get help getting your copy of the beta directly from the JamOrigin support too. Well, it translate pitches! So theoretically it should be able to. I have of course tried the most rudimentary setups, with some standard microphone and trying to keep within the guitar pitchrange. But the results I have gotten has not encouraged me to pursue that kind of experimenting. 😀👍

    How do you plug the guitar, digital interface with the MIDI software? How do you interface to Logic Pro record the midi sequence and create a music sheet?

    • @lofileif
      @lofileif  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use your ordinary audio interface to connect your guitar to the computer. The software does the rest. The software comes as both a standalone version and as a plugin. You can connect with either of these to Logic Pro. Create a music sheet with any software that accepts MIDI from the MIDI Guitar 3 software.

      You can buy MIDI Guitar 2 and get the beta testing versions of MIDI Guitar 3 without interruptions, and then of course get the MIDI Guitar 3 for free once it is finished for release. The upside to this is that you get both pieces of software for the same price. MG2 and MG3 are two different apps so you can run them in parallel if you wish. If you prefer to wait for the finished product, you can do that, but then you'll get just MG3 for the same price. 👍
