Great video and I appreciate you calling out the socket sizes. I just replaced my battery after managing to get 6.75yrs out of the factory battery! The radio presets reset but all settings and paired Bluetooth devices stay in the memory.

Hi. I just replaced my battery following these instructions. My new battery came with a little elbow vent and vent plug. Said it’s required for outside battery venting. I don’t see anything about that in a manual or in this video so I’m assuming I don’t need it? Assuming it’s for cars with batteries not under the hood?

Sometimes you don’t need it and sometimes you do need it.. if it is in front of the car (under the hood ) you don’t necessarily need it because it’s not in a closed up, closed up area… now if it was in a closed up, closed up area I recommend to put it back on the battery…. I have changed a lot of cars where the battery is in a closed up area and not happened to it. Like bmws most of they battery are in the truck and nothing happens. So you should be good..

@@Nocallnoshowtruckerokay thank you!! I have a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe just like this one. I was worried I might explode my battery by not using it and didn’t want to start it up yet. Lol

I have a 2014 they want 238 to change my battery. If you take the battery out will you loose the GPS or radio?

Losing the radio or gps only happened on certain car like Honda odyssey or the new model rams. But on your car, you are not going to lose the radio.

@@bigfootsboggybottomlodge4954 I’m doing the battery on September 1 st. I had a Engine light on so I took off the negative waited a few minutes and put it back on engine light is off. I did replace the gas cap that was causing that issue. All good.
I had a serpentine belt to put in some air filters. I’ll be sure to let you know. Thank for checking on it. 😊
