- While we’ve given our planet’s oceans separate names, in reality there’s no border between them, and currents continually flow between them and mix their waters.
The border between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans is like a line between 2 worlds. It looks as if the two oceans meet at an invisible wall which does not let them flow into each other and mix their waters.
Why on Earth does it happen? We know for sure there is no invisible wall inside, and water is water. So what could interfere with its mixing?
When you look at the seas and oceans on the map you might think that they just flow into each other. It seems like there’s only one big ocean, and people just gave different names to its parts. Well, you’ll be amazed at how vivid the borders between them are!

The two seas referred in the context of that verses:- one is sweet and the other is salty. The barrier could mean a land and/or what caused the two not to transgress, such as an estuary. Look at the tafseer.

Since when does the Gulf of Alaska have ANYTHING to do with the Atlantic Ocean? This is a plume of sediment-rich fresh waters in the Gulf of Alaska, before they mix into the marine environment. You can see the same phenomenon off the mouths of many larger rivers, including the Mississippi, Amazon, and Brahmaputra.

It was as dumb a comment as stating that the sun must be closer than Los Angeles is to New York, because you can see the sun from New York, but you can't see Los Angeles.

For people wondering the actual reason it’s because the water of both oceans have different densities, salinities and temperature. This occurs at the gulf of Alaska where the Pacific Ocean meets the water from the melting polar ice caps. The water from the pacific is filled with iron and other sediment while the water from the ice caps are much colder and clearer.

Here, the sea water flows straight from the Atlantic Ocean through the binding river up to a point in Kaur/ kuntaur and will not mix with the fresh water finding its source from Futa-Jalong in Guinea. Tourists will be mesmerized with the splashing phenomenon as the salt and the fresh waters splash high into the skies in a spectacular way.

The two oceans mix all the time. There’s always a color change when there’s a difference in temperatures water, Content, salinity, etc. but eventually they mix together. That’s why there is many of the same species in both. I seen that same color change between the Goldstream off of the east coast of Florida in the shower with waters. Both of them are in the Atlantic.
