since nihilism isnt just an imaginary concept of a path to follow in the game, but an actual philosophical world view to have, I think its worth noting that there exist some deviant forms of nihilism. One of these modern concepts could be called "optimistic nihilism", roughly meaning that because there is no meaning to anything you make the best out of it. I believe Acheron comes close to that following the statement at 34:56
This is a philosophy that I usually find myself on the border of, constantly making jokes out of or putting a positive spin on some of the worst things that happen to me or around me. Something that has already happened is set in stone. It's pointless to think about how things could have been different or how unlucky your are that it happened to you. Why not make a joke out of the misfortune around you? Because what is a trial, but a puzzle to solve? What is a puzzle but a game? And what is the purpose of a game, if not to have fun? I see how this can be spun as either nihility or elation. Must explain why I never miss on those characters. In the face of my own nihility, I become a fool.
It's worth mentioning that Ena is absorbed by Xipe due to the latter's path being wider. So the fact that Aventurine is sent to Penacony that's governed by the Harmony is pretty damn funny. There's also him being almost assimilated into the Family because of Sunday which can be drawn as some kind of parallel to what happened to Ena. Edit: In the Egyhazo case, he scammed the IPC to look for Tayzzyronth's remains in the desert. The one which made Ena had a deal with Qlipoth to get rid of them in Swarm Disaster. Hm...

In the same way Aventurine (who has parallels with ena) is sent to penacony which is under the family, (who believe in Xipe). And The family sentences Aventurine to be absorbed into the harmony (xipe eating ena similarities) Similarly Aventurine sent ipc to the dessert for tazzyronth's remains which parallels ena (aventurine) telling qlipoth (ipc) to get rid of tazzyronth (the dessert remains) during the swarm disaster (Egyhazo case). I'm always suprised by all these hidden details in Penacony's story, and I'm even more impressed by how you manage to notice them, keep doing these videos cause they're amazing, I hope the next story after Penacony is just as well written or maybe even better
Nihilism says that life is meaningless, struggle is futile and your choices don't matter, and most people faced with this just give up on life. But if "no choice matters", then that means you can make any choice and you won't be wrong, so why not choose to "live"? Since choices don't matter, you may very well choose to live, and Nihility (IX) can't say you're wrong. Call it "enjoying life ironically". Maybe this is what allowed Acheron to become an Emanator of Nihility? She basically said to IX "If nothing I do matters, then I'll do whatever the f*ck I want anyways"
I had a similar thought with ya. My thoughts conjured up Acheron's words like "Even if the end of everything is nothing, thus meaningless. Then the journey and present can still be something, thus meaningful." In short "Even if the end is nothing, than the journey is still something." 😢

I have a couple of corrections; the index has been updated with more information on Device IX, Polka Kakamond, Self-Annihilators, and Doctors of Chaos as of 2.1. - Device IX is an organization, of which one of the founding members is rumored to be none other than Polka Kakamond - the very same that Herta is absolutely obsessed with, and the assassin from Gold & Gears. (Index: Device IX) - Self-Annihilation is a condition that can range from physical illnesses to literally fading from existence. One person's skin turned entirely to wood. Others lose memories, which we thought was the case for Acheron (Index: Self-Annihilators), however I don't believe this to be the case. When Acheron draws her blade, her body becomes degraded and she sprouts flowers - which is consistent with self-annihilation as defined in the index. Moreover, it seems her degradation is tied to her memories - which are sealed when her sword is sheathed. She's spoken multiple times through her trailers about unsheathing her sword makes her recall everything clearly, which she absolutely did in the main story during her conversation with Welt. She only assumes her degraded form when her sword is drawn, which is consistent with the index entries and trailers. This tells us that her degradation is tied to her memories - it isn't the loss of her memories themselves (Edit for correction: her memories ARE degrading, but unsheathing her sword somehow allows her to recall them clearly) - which she keeps sealed away in her sword to keep the degradation at bay. (Edit: This could also be why she's hesitant to unsheathe her sword unless she deems it necessary.) - When a Self-Annihilator decides to fight against their fate of fading from existence, they become effectively immortal (also in the index - Self-Annihilators/Doctors of Chaos), so Acheron could be many, MANY years older than we think, and has been traveling for much longer than she remembers when her sword is sheathed and her memories sealed. It's very possible that Acheron will be a often-recurring character throughout the main story, and will definitely have something to do with Herta and her obsession with Polka Kakamond. She may even be directly involved in MC unlocking the path of Nihility.
acheron does not only have her memories degraded, in the data bank for self annihiliators, it says that they also lose their senses, which also seems to be the case for her, since in her character story - the one about frebass' notes - she says that "she (acheron) has almost lost her sense of taste". this is also shown by the scene with black swan when shes in acherons room and recalls a moment she shared with her before the dance, she asks why acheron is drinking the Wake the Heck Up drink instead of the soulglad since that one is bitter and pungent and acheron replies : "really? but i dont taste any... difference at all between them." Really sad when you remember that she loves peaches
@@shawarma4life The Data Bank entry says that SOME people lose their memories. Just like some people's endocrine systems are affected to the point where they can't feel pain or pleasure. Or some people's skin turns to rotten wood. If she's got a way to perfectly recall her memories, but at the cost of her physical form, her degradation is physical. When she draws her sword, she physically degrades. This means that her memories are sealed by the sword, and that's likely how she keeps the degradation at bay.
I didn’t realise that the ‘Stellaron friend’ that Aventurine mentioned in his talk to Acheron in the weird abyss place was Firefly. I thought it was the trailblazers 😂

Another thing is, in Cn text, Sparkle says "But Robin is already dead", when describing the first mute. The "dead" mute is definitely Robin, and the other Sparkle told Aventurine to befriend has to be Firefly.
It's hard to be patient and have a long attention span to focus on something. Due to social media, short form content, and other varying factors our attention span has decrease over time that we need to switch tasks in order to stay productive like working on a project for 15 minutes, then watching a TH-cam video for 40 minutes, then reading a book for 20 minutes and back to the project again.

It’s interesting that he and Robin have little halos, like the Aeon of Order, while the Aeon of Harmony and other members of the family do not. I think they might possibly be byproducts of Order being absorbed into Harmony.
im confident that your theory is true about dr. ratio and aventurine playing pretend, because i noticed him smile when he said the line on 27:09 before quickly masking it as a frown. i think he signaled him that he made the right choice instead, and ratio silently acknowledged it by not keeping an eye contact with him and staying silent. love the detail, and the theory makes so much sense to me! 👍
It's crazy that the lyrics to White Night were written in reference to Aventurine's arc. The lonely determination of the lyrics hidden in an upbeat tune is just the perfect song for him. The final line of the full song, "Let me wait forever in your lie" is so heart-wrenching. I really hope we find him again - wherever forever is.
Path of Nihility is very deep and philosophical. It reminds me of Sartre's Existentialism and the idea of Absurd by Camus. Also, the Aeon itself is portrayed as a Giant Black Hole. Poetically Beautiful.
I have a few suspicions and a few observations that I wish to speak about. 1.) Gallagher directs us to the Theme Park to learn about Penacony’s History, so this will definitely become relevant info at some point. 2.) When we first enter the Dreamscape, we and the Astral Crew all get the same dream of Misha calling out for Mikhail, but why? I believe it’s because of the Stellaron, whenever the MC dreamed in Belebog, they get dreams of the Stellaron. Since the Astral Crew was entering a dream when MC got a dream, there might’ve been a dual connection between them all, henceforth, they all entered the dream while seeing the Stellaron dream. (If this is true, then … Misha has or was around the Stellaron.) 3.) I believe the Watchmakers Legacy is the Stellaron, after all, Firefly, a Stellaron Hunter, is looking for it. Coincidence? … maybe, idk, at this point I’m suspicious at everything. 4.) the Concentric Circle Statue we see in the Dewlight Pavilion (and other locations). If you go to that one room with in the Dewlight Pavilion that has 4 enemies at the door, you can investigate the Statue multiple times, and it tells you that you can feel Xipe’s smile from the center of the circle! … and we’ve seen that circle before, the big clock in the Reveries Hotel Lobby … no idea what this could possibly be signifying. 5.) Hanu is a Pepeshi, Hanu is also the Trailblazer. On the TV where we switch to Hanu, there is a Pepeshi Fluff Ball, and Hanu is very small … like a Pepeshi. Now of course, this is the original Hanu’s identity, every Hanu doesn’t need to be a Pepeshi, for instance, we are the next iteration of Hanu. This is evident in two ways, when we switch to Hanu, the TV takes our appearance. When Misha is in trouble, Clockie finds us and we in turn come to help Misha; just like how Hanu comes to get Clockie out of trouble, we came to get Misha out of trouble. If Misha is the next iteration of Watchmaker, then we are the next iteration of Hanu, the Watchmaker’s Hound.
Sparkle saying "him" was not a translation error, coz she knows Firefly is Sam (him), revealed when he met us when she disguised as Sampo, exposing why she does not trust Firefly being with us. Also, I think Ghallager saying he is 13 is actually true, in a literal sense of his existence (knowing what he is).
i kinda felt off since i saw the capitalized "Thirteen" its always been a bad number(for death, herrscher of finality which is another form of death etc) he might have just been outright saying "Im Thirteen(Death)"

Nah, the story hints at darkness but everything that has happened so far has been dark on a superficial level. - Nobody really died - we just hear that people are suffering without really seeing it - And we know that in the end The Astral Express will save the day The only really dark thing so far was Aventurine's past and whatever that crying child was in 2.0

I always thought Velvet was a type of red/purple shade before this
I watched a video by another content creator talking about how the Aeon of Nihility “glanced” or “gazed” at Acheron to give her that emanator power, and it has bothered me ever since. It’s been said multiple times in the story that the Aeon doesn’t do anything like that, because it’s literally just a black hole. Besides poor reading skills, I think the reason why some people think the Aeon of Nihility acts like other Aeons is because of a bad decision on Hoyo’s part. They gave IX eyes, from its splash art and animation. By giving something eyes, you give it a sense of conscience, like it’s “alive.” But it’s neither alive nor dead, as it’s not a living being. IX is just a black hole, which in the HSR universe is a manifestation of the concept of nihility. Which is why any black hole in the HSR universe is just “one of the many manifestations of IX.” There is no specific black hole called IX. Every black hole is IX, hence the use of the word “manifestation.” Furthermore, anything it “does” in the story or the Simulated Universe are the characters’ interpretations of what a black hole “does.” Here, the word “does” is being used to understand it on a human perspective. “But if the Aeon of Nihility is meant to be ‘nothingness,’ then why do black holes consume things? Doesn’t it mean that it’s doing something?” In short, just like in real life, things simply get dragged by the black hole when they get too close to it. Not to make it very scientific but black holes don’t consciously consume things. Things just get dragged into its gravitational force and fall into its center. Its dark center is believed to be an inescapable space of nothingness. Which is probably where the devs got the idea to represent the Aeon of Nihility as a black hole in the game.

There's actually a 6th hound statue in the Dewlight Pavillion and a 7th in Clock Studios Theme Park. I'm not sure if they count towards the achievement for finding 5 of them like the first 5 in 2.0 though.
The bit on Acheron using her existence to counteract the effects of Nihility is downright philosophical. She’s gone past nihilism and come out the other side as an existentialist. I noticed in her conversation with Aventurine that she seemed to take an existential approach and emphasized the choices we make that make life worth living and meaningful. It’s a really interesting touch I didn’t expect from her given what she’s been through and has come to represent, but it might be the key that keeps her from becoming nihilistic despite emanating Nihility itself.
1. Sunday is using the powers of The Order 2. The red text is in no way related to The Harmony, it's just something related to Acheron and doesn't seem to be voluntary
Now that I think abt it, yeah, Sunday's power feels more in line with the Order than that of Harmony....is this something like Order trying to re-emerge from Harmony....(idk am a dumb 🐀)
Gosh, great work with the editing and video, everything was wonderful to watch, together with the way you weaved each scene together, it felt like watching a melody, throughly constructed and weaved together with a symphony of everlasting poems of a peaceful solitary vacation on a breezy but sunny island.. I wish he would become a part of the masked foolds, he could have a blast and find even more cool and crazy friends just as crazy as him for the Thrill of live- but I'm also conflicted with how he is now, on one hand I value and wish that Aventurine finds nothing but the true happyness in life, he deserves it- But at the same time, I also feel like he deserves to explore more of the wild side of life too, albeit it can be too risky.
My thoughts on the Watchmaker and Gallagher is that the Watchmaker was/is someone who got fed up with the control of the Family and the Harmony. So in order to break free he solicited help from Mythus the Enigmata to lend him power. That’s how he hides himself in fiction like Clockie and hides the “real history” behind the animations. And Gallagher is a creation of the Watchmaker hence how Gallagher calls himself a child of the Watchmaker (I theorize Misha is too a child of his since he was calling out for Mikheal to not go) as for how Gallagher who is technically a minion of the Enigmata (technically) has sway of conceptual “Death”? Idk 🤷
I've got one large theory that's been swimming around in my head recently gathering momentum, and that is, Misha and Gallagher could be memetic entities. First, (because he's the much shorter theory) Gallagher: The "selective invisibility" thing that you mentioned is actually something that we have seen before, within Black Swan's lore. The Memokeepers, who are memetic entities, also have this ability. Considering the relevance of such beings to a plot that is happening in the Memory Zone and also the fact that Gallagher apparently has some kind of link or control over the Meme of Death, I feel like it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think of him as one. Not to mention the... hounds, scattered all over the place- maybe Gallagher can shapeshift, and he's been watching us the whole time in different places? That last one is more of a stretch though. Misha is the one whom I'm much more sure is probably some kind of memetic entity, and there's actually an awful lot to talk about with him in general, but: The first bit actually ties back to the invisibility thing, which Misha also shares with Gallagher- since I've already covered that, I won't do it again, but note that Acheron theorizes that Clockie (who is already strongly linked to Misha, if not in the most direct way possible through their interactions, Misha's about Clockie voiceline, etc.) is a memetic entity, and Clockie also shares the "invisibility" scenario with Misha and Gallagher. To build off that, another thing that really bothered me back in 2.0 was something really strange with the encounter we have with Misha and Acheron in Golden Hour; if Misha really is invisible, then why doesn't he just run away from the scene? Why would there be any trouble/danger for him (Clockie states that "someone is dying", which if interpreted to be Misha then there’s really no grounds for it)? There's not anything stopping him (the mob members would not be able to hurt him without seeing him other than having him be collateral damage). I think him being a memetic entity would make this make more sense- it’s not the mob members stopping him from running, it’s Acheron. Thanks to Black Swan's animated short with Acheron, we know that she's pretty dangerous for a memetic entity to be around, sucking them in with the Nihility... and Misha doesn't look towards the mob when saying his "everyone, calm down!" line, he looks to his upper right, at Acheron (as for why where characters looks matters, the fact that Acheron looks to Misha while attempting to address Clockie later in the scene is part of the "Misha is invisible" theory after all). Why he stayed for so long after the conflict de-escalated, well that could either because Acheron was less of a threat while calm and not super on her guard (which you could assume she was, to some extent, with Black Swan- the effect on Misha could also be less severe because he's not directly probing at her memories) or because he was gritting his teeth to get through the situation without making the Trailblazer suspicious of him. That's about it for the relatively more concrete theories, but there's one other theory that builds off this one that while a lot more of a stretch since it's a theory on top of a theory on top of a theory, I think is still pretty interesting: I would like to throw out the possibility that Misha's not at his full power/has been weakened or injured as of now. Black Swan is a no brainer, and Gallagher is capable of some pretty crazy stuff, as shown by his control over the meme of death, but Misha has yet to do much other than send you places, not to mention not shown up at all in 2.1. The reason I think this is possible is because of a Clockie line he says while you level up the Clockie statue, something along the lines of making him stronger will allow everybody in Penacony to see him. Assuming that Acheron is correct in her guess that Clockie is something like a meme and then assuming from that fact that Misha is one too (like I said, a lot more of a stretch, but bear with me), then possibly the reason why Misha has yet to be visible to anyone outside of the Trailblazer when there is no reason for him to do so (people like March 7th- if he intends to stay hidden in the shadows of the events happening it would arguably be a lot easier to overlook him if he didn't have the suspicious quirk of being invisible) is that he's too weak to manifest himself to anyone OTHER than the Trailblazer. As for why, the most likely conclusion would be Stellaron issues, but then that’s even more remote of a consideration to make. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk 😂
If you go back to Dewlight Pavilion and check the bird statues (that you had to rotate during Aventurine's story), they seem to offer lore on founders of the families that make up the Family. What's interesting is that one of the founders' names is something like "Callagher" iirc, the point being that it's very similar to Gallagher. And, you may remember there are only 5 families in the Family currently, but 6 bird statues. The 6th statue will tell you about the existence of a "Shadow Family" that controls things from the shadows...but then checking the statues a 7th time will tell you that all this lore was actually fake and made-up (because there are only 5 families), which is a very Enigmata-like thing to happen! :o
I always wait eagerly for Blue Cat to explain every lore step by step I don't like to spend 3 or 4 hours to see through every dialogue and detalis I always rely on Blue Cat

Honestly every time we get more information on Penacony, I feel like I'm focusing on the wrong details. Like there's a big picture that, for some reason, I just didn't see clearly until the end. "Devil in Velvet" though, if it really is referring to Gallagher, that's an interesting little detail they gave right in the beginning. ♡
The whole thing about Gallagher being a dog is really interesting, I remember one scene where we ask him (or march 7th does?) how old he is and with a blank expression replies 12 or something like he’s really young. This scene I vaguely remember makes a lot more sense if the age he replies is in dog years! I.e. he’s really old for a dog but in human years hasn’t lived that long at all
Correction: 34:03 . Device IX is also the Aeon, while there is a faction, it is most the Aeon, whom controls and follows nothingness and dark matter, oblivion. Self Annihilators are those who have touch nihility and its path and are searching to find a new meaning of life, to then break free from THEIR path and paradox.
To that extent, if Acheron breaks free and finds meaning, that is one reason she is an emanator, and why she has control of the path, yet understands her situation. It is also why she has travelled more than anyone in this path, and why she wants to reach the end. Also, with the paradox comes fate. Her fate is to guide people from joining Nihility, which is why she gave Aventurine a reason to live 35:03 . Another reason she is emanator of this path, is her past fate and the curse/responsibility she took.

I think her "final promise" that has her after the legacy is something she promised to Frebass, because of the watchmaker also being a nameless. I also hope we find out more about the expedition to IX. As for Gallagher, if Mikhail is Clockie, then I suspect Gallagher is Hanu, canine features and all.

I'm eagerly waiting for this! I knew there was a lot, I mean a lot of details just flew right past my head during the story mostly by the cryptic nature everyone likes to talk 😅
Ha! I knew that Sunday's powers are kind of weird for a Harmony believer, it gave me Order vibes. Plus his boss design looks veeery similar to Ena. And Aventurine's eyes looks similar to Ena's single eye, maybe she was the one who blessed him with luck (aka gazed upon him)? Tricyclops, well from ena's puppet there are two and from her single eye makes it three, interesting. Robin's and Trailblazer/Clockie's abilities looks more like Harmony though. I might be wrong but I think other mute isn't Sam/Firefly but Misha, Sparkle also makes it even more obvious, "you can't find him". Meaning that he isn't visible, because only Clockie, Gallagher and Trailblazer can see him. If harmony's corruption made robin losing her voice, maybe that's also why misha lost his appearance. When Aventurine asked if Trailblazer's friend is the mute, Acheron thought about Misha, perhaps and said that he is right, while Aventurine thought about Firefly, because both of them are Trailblazer's friend. I would add one more fact from myself. In the McCoy quest, the order to "kill" the siblings came from Dreammaster, not Sunday, for whom McCoy works. Galagher also mentions that they both have difficult superiors over them. It seems to me that the real bad guy in Penacony is Dreammaster, who has control over the entire fake Penacony and the real one, and who keeps order there. If Pencony is Wachmaker's dream world, then the source of families is from his imagination? Stories about birds (Nightingale), dogs (Bloodhound), flowers (Iris), trees (Oak) and plants (Alfalfa) - simply the paradise he dreamed of. I think Galagher may be one of those first dream dogs - that's why he calls himself Wachmaker's child. And as we know, in the world of dreams even objects are conscious, so more "advanced" beings can become shapeshifting. It seems to me that Galagher's goal (and Wachmaker's) is to destroy this false Penacony so that it can wake up and move forward instead of living in lethargy. And Family wants to keep it that way. Sunday seems to be more into destruction (and solving the problem) than cover-up, which is why Family is not happy with his actions. The theory that Sunday uses the Order's power doesn't convince me. Because during this ritual you can see effects on the screen like those in Xipe's image. By the way, will Xipe be satisfied with the state of Penacony? Where is the harmony when everything is covered up and hidden?
i think that was ovious the moment the family hushed all the deaths , they always been portaited as very sus group, and is definetly the dreammaster fault about many things, even controling sunday, who geniounly care about his sister death but i feel he will suffer even more at the end of 2.2 , curious how many twists they will present in the patch story, hsr is very good at droping baits and then blow your mind :D

since nihilism isnt just an imaginary concept of a path to follow in the game, but an actual philosophical world view to have, I think its worth noting that there exist some deviant forms of nihilism. One of these modern concepts could be called "optimistic nihilism", roughly meaning that because there is no meaning to anything you make the best out of it. I believe Acheron comes close to that following the statement at 34:56

This is a philosophy that I usually find myself on the border of, constantly making jokes out of or putting a positive spin on some of the worst things that happen to me or around me. Something that has already happened is set in stone. It's pointless to think about how things could have been different or how unlucky your are that it happened to you. Why not make a joke out of the misfortune around you? Because what is a trial, but a puzzle to solve? What is a puzzle but a game? And what is the purpose of a game, if not to have fun?
I see how this can be spun as either nihility or elation. Must explain why I never miss on those characters. In the face of my own nihility, I become a fool.

It's worth mentioning that Ena is absorbed by Xipe due to the latter's path being wider. So the fact that Aventurine is sent to Penacony that's governed by the Harmony is pretty damn funny. There's also him being almost assimilated into the Family because of Sunday which can be drawn as some kind of parallel to what happened to Ena.
Edit: In the Egyhazo case, he scammed the IPC to look for Tayzzyronth's remains in the desert. The one which made Ena had a deal with Qlipoth to get rid of them in Swarm Disaster. Hm...

In the same way Aventurine (who has parallels with ena) is sent to penacony which is under the family, (who believe in Xipe). And The family sentences Aventurine to be absorbed into the harmony (xipe eating ena similarities)
Similarly Aventurine sent ipc to the dessert for tazzyronth's remains which parallels ena (aventurine) telling qlipoth (ipc) to get rid of tazzyronth (the dessert remains) during the swarm disaster (Egyhazo case).

I'm always suprised by all these hidden details in Penacony's story, and I'm even more impressed by how you manage to notice them, keep doing these videos cause they're amazing, I hope the next story after Penacony is just as well written or maybe even better
Nihilism says that life is meaningless, struggle is futile and your choices don't matter, and most people faced with this just give up on life. But if "no choice matters", then that means you can make any choice and you won't be wrong, so why not choose to "live"? Since choices don't matter, you may very well choose to live, and Nihility (IX) can't say you're wrong. Call it "enjoying life ironically".
Maybe this is what allowed Acheron to become an Emanator of Nihility? She basically said to IX "If nothing I do matters, then I'll do whatever the f*ck I want anyways"

I have a couple of corrections; the index has been updated with more information on Device IX, Polka Kakamond, Self-Annihilators, and Doctors of Chaos as of 2.1.
- Device IX is an organization, of which one of the founding members is rumored to be none other than Polka Kakamond - the very same that Herta is absolutely obsessed with, and the assassin from Gold & Gears. (Index: Device IX)
- Self-Annihilation is a condition that can range from physical illnesses to literally fading from existence. One person's skin turned entirely to wood. Others lose memories, which we thought was the case for Acheron (Index: Self-Annihilators), however I don't believe this to be the case.
When Acheron draws her blade, her body becomes degraded and she sprouts flowers - which is consistent with self-annihilation as defined in the index. Moreover, it seems her degradation is tied to her memories - which are sealed when her sword is sheathed. She's spoken multiple times through her trailers about unsheathing her sword makes her recall everything clearly, which she absolutely did in the main story during her conversation with Welt. She only assumes her degraded form when her sword is drawn, which is consistent with the index entries and trailers.
This tells us that her degradation is tied to her memories - it isn't the loss of her memories themselves (Edit for correction: her memories ARE degrading, but unsheathing her sword somehow allows her to recall them clearly) - which she keeps sealed away in her sword to keep the degradation at bay. (Edit: This could also be why she's hesitant to unsheathe her sword unless she deems it necessary.)
- When a Self-Annihilator decides to fight against their fate of fading from existence, they become effectively immortal (also in the index - Self-Annihilators/Doctors of Chaos), so Acheron could be many, MANY years older than we think, and has been traveling for much longer than she remembers when her sword is sheathed and her memories sealed.
It's very possible that Acheron will be a often-recurring character throughout the main story, and will definitely have something to do with Herta and her obsession with Polka Kakamond. She may even be directly involved in MC unlocking the path of Nihility.
acheron does not only have her memories degraded, in the data bank for self annihiliators, it says that they also lose their senses, which also seems to be the case for her, since in her character story - the one about frebass' notes - she says that "she (acheron) has almost lost her sense of taste". this is also shown by the scene with black swan when shes in acherons room and recalls a moment she shared with her before the dance, she asks why acheron is drinking the Wake the Heck Up drink instead of the soulglad since that one is bitter and pungent and acheron replies : "really? but i dont taste any... difference at all between them." Really sad when you remember that she loves peaches

If she's got a way to perfectly recall her memories, but at the cost of her physical form, her degradation is physical. When she draws her sword, she physically degrades. This means that her memories are sealed by the sword, and that's likely how she keeps the degradation at bay.

It's hard to be patient and have a long attention span to focus on something. Due to social media, short form content, and other varying factors our attention span has decrease over time that we need to switch tasks in order to stay productive like working on a project for 15 minutes, then watching a TH-cam video for 40 minutes, then reading a book for 20 minutes and back to the project again.

im confident that your theory is true about dr. ratio and aventurine playing pretend, because i noticed him smile when he said the line on 27:09 before quickly masking it as a frown. i think he signaled him that he made the right choice instead, and ratio silently acknowledged it by not keeping an eye contact with him and staying silent. love the detail, and the theory makes so much sense to me! 👍
It's crazy that the lyrics to White Night were written in reference to Aventurine's arc.
The lonely determination of the lyrics hidden in an upbeat tune is just the perfect song for him.

Path of Nihility is very deep and philosophical. It reminds me of Sartre's Existentialism and the idea of Absurd by Camus. Also, the Aeon itself is portrayed as a Giant Black Hole. Poetically Beautiful.
I have a few suspicions and a few observations that I wish to speak about.
1.) Gallagher directs us to the Theme Park to learn about Penacony’s History, so this will definitely become relevant info at some point.
2.) When we first enter the Dreamscape, we and the Astral Crew all get the same dream of Misha calling out for Mikhail, but why? I believe it’s because of the Stellaron, whenever the MC dreamed in Belebog, they get dreams of the Stellaron. Since the Astral Crew was entering a dream when MC got a dream, there might’ve been a dual connection between them all, henceforth, they all entered the dream while seeing the Stellaron dream. (If this is true, then … Misha has or was around the Stellaron.)
3.) I believe the Watchmakers Legacy is the Stellaron, after all, Firefly, a Stellaron Hunter, is looking for it. Coincidence? … maybe, idk, at this point I’m suspicious at everything.
4.) the Concentric Circle Statue we see in the Dewlight Pavilion (and other locations). If you go to that one room with in the Dewlight Pavilion that has 4 enemies at the door, you can investigate the Statue multiple times, and it tells you that you can feel Xipe’s smile from the center of the circle! … and we’ve seen that circle before, the big clock in the Reveries Hotel Lobby … no idea what this could possibly be signifying.
5.) Hanu is a Pepeshi, Hanu is also the Trailblazer. On the TV where we switch to Hanu, there is a Pepeshi Fluff Ball, and Hanu is very small … like a Pepeshi. Now of course, this is the original Hanu’s identity, every Hanu doesn’t need to be a Pepeshi, for instance, we are the next iteration of Hanu. This is evident in two ways, when we switch to Hanu, the TV takes our appearance. When Misha is in trouble, Clockie finds us and we in turn come to help Misha; just like how Hanu comes to get Clockie out of trouble, we came to get Misha out of trouble. If Misha is the next iteration of Watchmaker, then we are the next iteration of Hanu, the Watchmaker’s Hound.

I watched a video by another content creator talking about how the Aeon of Nihility “glanced” or “gazed” at Acheron to give her that emanator power, and it has bothered me ever since. It’s been said multiple times in the story that the Aeon doesn’t do anything like that, because it’s literally just a black hole. Besides poor reading skills, I think the reason why some people think the Aeon of Nihility acts like other Aeons is because of a bad decision on Hoyo’s part. They gave IX eyes, from its splash art and animation. By giving something eyes, you give it a sense of conscience, like it’s “alive.” But it’s neither alive nor dead, as it’s not a living being. IX is just a black hole, which in the HSR universe is a manifestation of the concept of nihility. Which is why any black hole in the HSR universe is just “one of the many manifestations of IX.” There is no specific black hole called IX. Every black hole is IX, hence the use of the word “manifestation.” Furthermore, anything it “does” in the story or the Simulated Universe are the characters’ interpretations of what a black hole “does.” Here, the word “does” is being used to understand it on a human perspective.
“But if the Aeon of Nihility is meant to be ‘nothingness,’ then why do black holes consume things? Doesn’t it mean that it’s doing something?”
In short, just like in real life, things simply get dragged by the black hole when they get too close to it. Not to make it very scientific but black holes don’t consciously consume things. Things just get dragged into its gravitational force and fall into its center. Its dark center is believed to be an inescapable space of nothingness. Which is probably where the devs got the idea to represent the Aeon of Nihility as a black hole in the game.

The bit on Acheron using her existence to counteract the effects of Nihility is downright philosophical. She’s gone past nihilism and come out the other side as an existentialist. I noticed in her conversation with Aventurine that she seemed to take an existential approach and emphasized the choices we make that make life worth living and meaningful. It’s a really interesting touch I didn’t expect from her given what she’s been through and has come to represent, but it might be the key that keeps her from becoming nihilistic despite emanating Nihility itself.

Gosh, great work with the editing and video, everything was wonderful to watch, together with the way you weaved each scene together, it felt like watching a melody, throughly constructed and weaved together with a symphony of everlasting poems of a peaceful solitary vacation on a breezy but sunny island..
I wish he would become a part of the masked foolds, he could have a blast and find even more cool and crazy friends just as crazy as him for the Thrill of live- but I'm also conflicted with how he is now, on one hand I value and wish that Aventurine finds nothing but the true happyness in life, he deserves it- But at the same time, I also feel like he deserves to explore more of the wild side of life too, albeit it can be too risky.
My thoughts on the Watchmaker and Gallagher is that the Watchmaker was/is someone who got fed up with the control of the Family and the Harmony. So in order to break free he solicited help from Mythus the Enigmata to lend him power. That’s how he hides himself in fiction like Clockie and hides the “real history” behind the animations. And Gallagher is a creation of the Watchmaker hence how Gallagher calls himself a child of the Watchmaker (I theorize Misha is too a child of his since he was calling out for Mikheal to not go) as for how Gallagher who is technically a minion of the Enigmata (technically) has sway of conceptual “Death”? Idk 🤷
I've got one large theory that's been swimming around in my head recently gathering momentum, and that is, Misha and Gallagher could be memetic entities.
First, (because he's the much shorter theory) Gallagher:
The "selective invisibility" thing that you mentioned is actually something that we have seen before, within Black Swan's lore. The Memokeepers, who are memetic entities, also have this ability. Considering the relevance of such beings to a plot that is happening in the Memory Zone and also the fact that Gallagher apparently has some kind of link or control over the Meme of Death, I feel like it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think of him as one. Not to mention the... hounds, scattered all over the place- maybe Gallagher can shapeshift, and he's been watching us the whole time in different places? That last one is more of a stretch though.
Misha is the one whom I'm much more sure is probably some kind of memetic entity, and there's actually an awful lot to talk about with him in general, but:
The first bit actually ties back to the invisibility thing, which Misha also shares with Gallagher- since I've already covered that, I won't do it again, but note that Acheron theorizes that Clockie (who is already strongly linked to Misha, if not in the most direct way possible through their interactions, Misha's about Clockie voiceline, etc.) is a memetic entity, and Clockie also shares the "invisibility" scenario with Misha and Gallagher. To build off that, another thing that really bothered me back in 2.0 was something really strange with the encounter we have with Misha and Acheron in Golden Hour; if Misha really is invisible, then why doesn't he just run away from the scene? Why would there be any trouble/danger for him (Clockie states that "someone is dying", which if interpreted to be Misha then there’s really no grounds for it)? There's not anything stopping him (the mob members would not be able to hurt him without seeing him other than having him be collateral damage). I think him being a memetic entity would make this make more sense- it’s not the mob members stopping him from running, it’s Acheron. Thanks to Black Swan's animated short with Acheron, we know that she's pretty dangerous for a memetic entity to be around, sucking them in with the Nihility... and Misha doesn't look towards the mob when saying his "everyone, calm down!" line, he looks to his upper right, at Acheron (as for why where characters looks matters, the fact that Acheron looks to Misha while attempting to address Clockie later in the scene is part of the "Misha is invisible" theory after all). Why he stayed for so long after the conflict de-escalated, well that could either because Acheron was less of a threat while calm and not super on her guard (which you could assume she was, to some extent, with Black Swan- the effect on Misha could also be less severe because he's not directly probing at her memories) or because he was gritting his teeth to get through the situation without making the Trailblazer suspicious of him.
That's about it for the relatively more concrete theories, but there's one other theory that builds off this one that while a lot more of a stretch since it's a theory on top of a theory on top of a theory, I think is still pretty interesting:
I would like to throw out the possibility that Misha's not at his full power/has been weakened or injured as of now. Black Swan is a no brainer, and Gallagher is capable of some pretty crazy stuff, as shown by his control over the meme of death, but Misha has yet to do much other than send you places, not to mention not shown up at all in 2.1. The reason I think this is possible is because of a Clockie line he says while you level up the Clockie statue, something along the lines of making him stronger will allow everybody in Penacony to see him. Assuming that Acheron is correct in her guess that Clockie is something like a meme and then assuming from that fact that Misha is one too (like I said, a lot more of a stretch, but bear with me), then possibly the reason why Misha has yet to be visible to anyone outside of the Trailblazer when there is no reason for him to do so (people like March 7th- if he intends to stay hidden in the shadows of the events happening it would arguably be a lot easier to overlook him if he didn't have the suspicious quirk of being invisible) is that he's too weak to manifest himself to anyone OTHER than the Trailblazer. As for why, the most likely conclusion would be Stellaron issues, but then that’s even more remote of a consideration to make.

If you go back to Dewlight Pavilion and check the bird statues (that you had to rotate during Aventurine's story), they seem to offer lore on founders of the families that make up the Family. What's interesting is that one of the founders' names is something like "Callagher" iirc, the point being that it's very similar to Gallagher. And, you may remember there are only 5 families in the Family currently, but 6 bird statues. The 6th statue will tell you about the existence of a "Shadow Family" that controls things from the shadows...but then checking the statues a 7th time will tell you that all this lore was actually fake and made-up (because there are only 5 families), which is a very Enigmata-like thing to happen! :o

Honestly every time we get more information on Penacony, I feel like I'm focusing on the wrong details. Like there's a big picture that, for some reason, I just didn't see clearly until the end. "Devil in Velvet" though, if it really is referring to Gallagher, that's an interesting little detail they gave right in the beginning. ♡

The whole thing about Gallagher being a dog is really interesting, I remember one scene where we ask him (or march 7th does?) how old he is and with a blank expression replies 12 or something like he’s really young. This scene I vaguely remember makes a lot more sense if the age he replies is in dog years! I.e. he’s really old for a dog but in human years hasn’t lived that long at all

Self Annihilators are those who have touch nihility and its path and are searching to find a new meaning of life, to then break free from THEIR path and paradox.
To that extent, if Acheron breaks free and finds meaning, that is one reason she is an emanator, and why she has control of the path, yet understands her situation. It is also why she has travelled more than anyone in this path, and why she wants to reach the end.
Also, with the paradox comes fate. Her fate is to guide people from joining Nihility, which is why she gave Aventurine a reason to live 35:03 . Another reason she is emanator of this path, is her past fate and the curse/responsibility she took.

I'm not a big fan of this type of writing, plus I couldn't decipher and connect everything even if I tried putting everything together, so you're really a big help to the community
You must be a fan of it if you care about when or how it will end. You just need a couple of takes to understand the big picture, which the community is happy to provide. Ha! I knew that Sunday's powers are kind of weird for a Harmony believer, it gave me Order vibes. Plus his boss design looks veeery similar to Ena. And Aventurine's eyes looks similar to Ena's single eye, maybe she was the one who blessed him with luck (aka gazed upon him)? Tricyclops, well from ena's puppet there are two and from her single eye makes it three, interesting.
Robin's and Trailblazer/Clockie's abilities looks more like Harmony though.
I might be wrong but I think other mute isn't Sam/Firefly but Misha, Sparkle also makes it even more obvious, "you can't find him".
Meaning that he isn't visible,
because only Clockie, Gallagher and Trailblazer can see him. If harmony's corruption made robin losing her voice, maybe that's also why misha lost his appearance.
When Aventurine asked if Trailblazer's friend is the mute, Acheron thought about Misha, perhaps and said that he is right, while Aventurine thought about Firefly, because both of them are Trailblazer's friend.
Feel kinda proud that most of everything I theorised is in this video.

I would add one more fact from myself. In the McCoy quest, the order to "kill" the siblings came from Dreammaster, not Sunday, for whom McCoy works. Galagher also mentions that they both have difficult superiors over them. It seems to me that the real bad guy in Penacony is Dreammaster, who has control over the entire fake Penacony and the real one, and who keeps order there.
If Pencony is Wachmaker's dream world, then the source of families is from his imagination? Stories about birds (Nightingale), dogs (Bloodhound), flowers (Iris), trees (Oak) and plants (Alfalfa) - simply the paradise he dreamed of. I think Galagher may be one of those first dream dogs - that's why he calls himself Wachmaker's child. And as we know, in the world of dreams even objects are conscious, so more "advanced" beings can become shapeshifting.
It seems to me that Galagher's goal (and Wachmaker's) is to destroy this false Penacony so that it can wake up and move forward instead of living in lethargy. And Family wants to keep it that way. Sunday seems to be more into destruction (and solving the problem) than cover-up, which is why Family is not happy with his actions.
The theory that Sunday uses the Order's power doesn't convince me. Because during this ritual you can see effects on the screen like those in Xipe's image. By the way, will Xipe be satisfied with the state of Penacony? Where is the harmony when everything is covered up and hidden?
i think that was ovious the moment the family hushed all the deaths , they always been portaited as very sus group, and is definetly the dreammaster fault about many things, even controling sunday, who geniounly care about his sister death but i feel he will suffer even more at the end of 2.2 , curious how many twists they will present in the patch story, hsr is very good at droping baits and then blow your mind :D
