Yes, you are absolutely right: this theory is not boring. This is more like some other principally interesting theories (like with the moon from one Zelda game to name another example), where he makes very obvious mistakes and simplifications he is either not seeing (like with the theory about "for honor" about the fighter classes) or ignoring and hoping that most people won't see them (example: he calculates the falling height into the pit with the formula for the free fall - ignoring that it is not a free fall which he should have mentioned at least - if he did that consciously). Still this doesn't mean that ideas like this are at least fun to watch :-)

If you check the nuggets while in the cave, the line states "Some theorize that there should be more" Which is something Matpat saw while playing the game.
I know it's far too late but instead of a survivable arresting of momentum you just need to redirect it. Create a nugget ramp that gradually slopes so you hit almost vertical and end on the ground. Far fewer nuggets required.
I just watched nearly 10 hours of gameplay by watching GT Live Kindergarten. Now I'm watching a theory about chicken nuggets possibly saving my life in an emergency of falling down with high velocity. What am I even doing with my life...
The amount of nuggets can be seriously reduced if you assume the falling child lands on the slope and slides down, instead of landing flat and suddenly stopping.
I legit just watch you estimate an average child's height and see how long that weight would take to fall and how hard they would smack the ground. Thanks Matpat and team!

I know it's far too late but instead of a survivable arresting of momentum you just need to redirect it. Create a nugget ramp that gradually slopes so you hit almost vertical and end on the ground. Far fewer nuggets required.
