You know what I trust, Baz? I trust your history, across all those channels. It speaks for itself. And I really enjoy the still photography on my OnePlus Open
I'm still waiting for the right foldable but this looks like the time is coming fast! Love that there's finally some bespoke software, the multitasking apps approach is clever. And good to see that oppo is learning from oxygenOS.
Hi, I’m thinking about ordering Find N3 from China with shipping to Europe, would be much cheaper than Open but without my native language. Do you know whether N3 supports same bands like Open? And 2nd question - what is your opinion about good colour? Is the case from the box fine or not worth using it?
You should order from a country like Malaysia that supports Google services natively. Even if you install the Play Store on the Chinese model you'll have delayed notifications. If you do go for a Malaysian model your only additional colour option is gold. Hope that helps.
@@tech_editnotifications are fine. The problem is you can't change the launcher and you can't really change the wallet to the Google wallet with pressing the power button twice. Also, no Google assistant. But ok . And no android car thing.
No problem! The main user-interface differences are Chinese-language defaults and worse Google Services integration. So, the voice assistant is Breeno (Chinese) and I haven't figured out how to change it to Google Assistant. Also, you can't use Google Nearby Share on the Chinese model, and other native Google services might not work well. By contrast, I've been using a global (I think Malaysian model) as my primary phone for weeks and it's worked flawlessly. There may also be limitations with network bands as well - again, though, the Malaysian model worked across Europe and in the US for me with 5G, no issues. Hope that helps! Basil
@@tech_edit Hello there, I was wondering if by any chance. Would you sell the Oppo? I would like yo buy it, I have always wanted so bad that phones, since it was released.
I have in the past oppo and oneplus and they are wonderful phones, my parents use them now , and still the battery is good, not like new but still hold good 👍👍👍
I really want to pick up a new foldable as my Galaxy Fold 4 is starting to fail. Shall I get one of these or the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. I am worried about software and all that however. Any advice ? Thanks a ton !
How does the Open's camera perform with moving subjects, e.g. restless toddlers?! It's a crucial thing for me amd many others with phone cameras, but it's rarely touched upon. Thanks!
That's a good question. In bright environments it does a good job with dogs and moving people. The more aggressive computational photography relies on stillness to pull out superb lowlight shots, so I wouldn't bank on it freezing time well in darker scenes. When the lighting is abundant though, it's solid.
Why no one is talking about pen support. And I am finding it only now. I am literally looking for both display support, and samsung let me down for years. This is the biggest selling point for power users and neither Oppo neither Oneplus are talking about it :D are they that stupid? Spending millions on RnD of these and not mentioning pen support on the main page?
I've had both my Xperia 1v and the OnePlus open since their respective launch dates. I've hardly touched my 1v since I've received my Open. It's that good. The battery life on the OnePlus open is better than any phone I've ever had! The telephoto is even more satisfying to shoot with than he stated in the video
The best one is the one available in your region as they are so similar. Both phones aren't available to buy in the same regions, so I would recommend buying the one that's officially available where you are. It will make sure you get the best after sale support. Hope that helps! Basil
That's awesome. I haven't used the 10 Pro Plus, but know that it does an incredible job on the Find N3. Oppo is really nailing it at the moment. Thanks for the comment! Basil
Hey basil phones look great they are way out of my price range. So I'm hoping that 2024 is the year of the midrange foldable smart phone that's the challenge to make a foldable smart phone for 300-500 pounds and get a good product
That depends on where you're based, but it's less than the Pixel Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 5, which makes it competitive for a foldable, but expensive compared to a traditional phone.
They're identical phone but difference is where those foldable are sell In Indonesia, Oppo Find N3 just launched like last month maybe. While OnePlus Open not
Had oppo, OnePlus and now Xiaomi, all great with OnePlus been the mediocre ones in comparison. Still good, better than others. The slider is anything BUT useful, always slides in the pocket and missing calls. It's a pointless and irritating thing that they need to stop doing. Waste of time

I have it , and writing this comment from it . Next to me i have the iPhone 15 pro max. The camera on the oppo is actually worse . And the colors are inconsistent from lens to lens. And the screen well maybe the outer screen is worse than the iphone. And the battery also is worse.
Do not buy this brand, poor quality and customer service, especially this Find N3 model. The main screen has issue after 3 months and the customer service will put the blame on you for misuse of the phone and ask the customer responsible for the repair cost.
Thx for sharing. Would love to know the software differences of the Oppo and the Open.. is there any video you ve done comparing both? Thank you
I came to know the difference between the two and am none the wiser
thanks for a great review, i've read it can be quite poor in low light, especially moving subjects, do you know if this is true ?
Admitting that you are probably biased means a lot it shows honestly so i trust your opinion more than if you said nothing

Yes but only the Oppo Pen and OnePlus Stylo respectively
I like the Find N3, but the Huaei Mate X5 is my all time favorite once you add Google Services. Has every feature this has and more. Love it!

Is camera on this Oppo better than Honor's Magic V3?
More consistent with processing, so yes, I prefer it. The Honor Magic V3 Studio Harcourt Portrait Mode is fun though and both are great for foldables.

Buy the honor magic v3
How is the crease didn't even see it in the video at any angle
Barely noticeable, especially set against the Z Fold 5
Aren't they the same phone rebranded and with their own OS customization?
