Ahead of the release of our much anticipated 146 Professional for MSFS, we'll be producing a number of videos for you to view to help you get accustomed to the plane and all of it's features, systems etc. It's packed with content and will require some studying to use it to it's best capabilities.

When they designed this aircraft, little did they know that, in years to come, flight simmers everywhere would be so very grateful for the large, easy-to-click switches on the overhead :)

One day, the sim will be all that remains of this plane as some data in the cloud. I can't imagine the designers ever thought of that when they were playing Pong on their home computers.

Looking great, however the DC pump is a rocker switch that should return to middle position; you have to press and hold it to activate it and let go to have it turn to off. Also you typically use the brake pressure to verify it works. Also the AC pump pressurizes much faster, about 1 second from 0-3100

Amazing acft.flew back in 2007 with Aegean to EFL.remebered that it had no reversers and the speedbrakes where at the aft...
Thank you for that masterpiece, as i said it before you're on the best way to become a second PMDG.
Yet, please rethink your pricing strategy, simply said don't price yourself out of the biggest segment of the market. With the asked price your product is only relevant for a small fraction of simmer's. The majority of players and many simmer's are unable to pay that amount. PMDG has stated that they walked away from that elite pricing (that was of course necessary in a small market of the past) and they stated that they are very happy with the financial result. Please let the majority enjoy your aircrafts!

i might be a bit nit-picking, but...: i noticed that as soon as the batteries are switched on, there is the 400 Hz hum. but all AC busses are still off, or did i overlook something?
but awesome aircraft anyways, want it! :)
Might be a bit early but how does the air stairs work without any hydraulic pressure (pressure went back to zero after tests were made), is there an accumulator like the brake system?
You skipped some switches in the video (I assume in video editing the scenes were cut): The cabin and flightdeck fan switches (Air Conditioning, upper OH) are in the "OFF" position when you arm the cabin emer lights and set the no smoking signs to "Auto" - and later when you explain the ground tests the switches are already in the "ON" position.
The same "unseen switching" happend to the "Galley/Shed" switch in the electrics section. At first it's on "SHED" and when you turn on the four Engine Anti Ice switches in the Ice Protection Section next to the electrics, the switch already is on "Galley" and the coffee in the making. 😉
It's not that bad, but I wondered why the first Checklists appearing on the freeware websites are missing these actions. Now I know why. 💡
It might be due to the way we ended up editing the video. I think we started the aircraft up from cold and dark, taxied to the runway, and then had to restart the flight, which may have loaded the aircraft in a different state. So I'm assuming the tutorial/ checklists are missing those steps, we will check that out. Thanks.
How you switch the views ? Pedestal, overhead etc ? It’s amazing

That won't be happening but thanks for the feedback. This plane, the way it operates and the way it looks has received unanimous acclaim since release. Maybe the compression on the YT videos have an adverse effect on viewing. Thanks for your interest.
@@scottphillips9795 I bought it so I'm speaking as a customer. You guys pretty much just ported the textures from P3D/FSX. It can look MUCH better in MSFS, especially the cabin! Perhaps I should start a poll on Avsim to see what people really think because I'm not the only one who thinks this way
@@scottphillips9795 btw I wasn't talking about the exterior textures because those are great. I was talking about the cockpit and especially the cabin.
@@tubeloobs Yeah go for it. I'll tell you for a fact though the textures weren't just ported across. They were done from scratch. I think part of this comes down to the actual colours/hues/shades of the RW cockpit of the 146. They are as they after deliberation. Could have gone higher res and decals etc but we think and many others do that they are fine as they are and we've opted for a perfect balance between the textures and product performance. Yes if we started afresh right now, we could do an even better job but the same applies with all products but there are certainly way more positive comments about the visuals than negative. Our team are working on other priority projects, we only have finite resources so for now at least they'll stay as they are. Other than that issue hopefully you're enjoying it.

All the switches are in low res FSX style definition! Very disappointed!
Hi David. Thanks for the feedback, we've noted your similar comments on various other videos/streams so will reply here. The 146 cockpit uses 4096x4096 PBR textures that were certainly not available to us back in the FSX days, and something of this detail level was only actually possible from P3D v4/v5 onwards. Texture quality and style is very subjective as is clear in this example, where we're seeing others that are very happy with the 146 textures, but we appreciate that everyone has different expectations and focus. We're confident that the right balance has been struck between resolution and performance, with the appearance of the cockpit exactly matching the real aircraft (of which we took hundreds of photos to base our simulation on) at the normal pilot viewing distance. Yes, you will notice blurring if you get within a few inches of the panel but we don't routinely use a decal approach in the cockpit so that is inevitable given our artistic style, and I've yet to meet a pilot who gets that close to the panel. Further tweaks/improvements will be made to certain areas of the aircraft prior to release but there won't be a significant change to this area. This topic has been covered more extensively elsewhere for our other MSFS products but ultimately this is the artistic/technical choice that we've made and we apologise if that's a deal-breaker for you on this occasion.
