How do you like your coleslaw?
bitter
With drained crushed pineapple.
KFC
My general rule of thumb: make it the way you like it since you are the one who is going to be eating it.
Yes
Then what's the point of recipes? lol
I also ask my Google maps directions and then yell : Don't tell me what to do!
@@brianstanton1697To tell unskilled knobs like you what to do because you don't know anything
My grandmother used to shred the cabbage and other veggies then put a jar of Marzetti's coleslaw dressing on it. No extra steps, and it was always great. I do it the same way now, and mine is just as good.
My mother in law uses this dressing- so good!
She also adds apple and marshmallows. Perfect!
Best pre-made coleslaw dressing out there! I prefer homemade like KFC's but when I'm lazy I get that one
pre packaged coleslaw mix and add a maries coleslaw jar, done
The information is helpful, for some making coleslaw.
The food looks so delicious Have a nice day
I do like coleslaw with May, vinegar, sugar and crushed pepper flakes is the best
I been making cole slaw with my mom since I was a kid we’ve always used original Marzetti dressing add a little mayo and sugar and cracked pepper, grated onion, cabbage and carrots let it rest for a few hours before eating
Whaaaaaaaaaaat???? Everyone likes my coleslaw better the next day.
I find giving it a day allows the flavors to marry... its why homemade soup, stews, pasta sauce or chili tastes better if its been simmering for a couple of hours or stored in the fridge a reheated a couple of days later.
@@mroggie8334 yes exactly
Yeah, I was like I much prefer made ahead and refrigerated slaw. Could be a regional thing I guess.
I totally agree! Much tastier when it sits a while!
Cabbage is extremely crunchy; you could even say the ribs are hard. Almost as hard as carrots. It's not going to be overly soft the next day or even days later. If a dressing dilutes a bit, just give the cole slaw a stir. It is thirsty and should be fine. Besides, you want the dressing to get into the veggies, not just slide off the top of them.
add celery seed
It is always advisable to give up the good so as to go for the great and better.
Talking about washing ""Cabbage"" 4:28 That's Lettuce ........
Gpt quality video
Didn't realize that Coleslaw was freezable. My family prefers a vingerette one over mayo and buttermilk.
It's not .........
I never add mayo to my coleslaw.
Shredded cabbage and carrots. Then I add cider vinegar, sugar, salt, lime juice, and a few finely diced jalapenos
Simply make your sauce a day ahead then mix in fresh veggies, place in the frig for 20 mins or so take it out when ready to eat.
With all these ridiculous rules to follow if rather just drive to KFC and get the best Cole slaw in the world
Mine is better than KFC.
I heartily agree with you.
KFC Coleslaw is the best.
LJS & Church's are okay, but do not reach the level of KFC.
I can't imagine any of these 3 Fast food Restaurants having time to follow all the steps recommended here.
That is way too complicated for me.
If I make it, I use both Green and Purple Cabbage along with Carrots and Miracle Whip in mine - that's all!
I use Miracle Whip - not Mayonnaise because I prefer sweet rather than tangy.
I chop both of the cabbages in a chunkier size than typical coleslaw and I call it Cabbage Salad rather than Coleslaw, but everyone else refers to it as slaw.
I wash cabbage and let it drain in a colander. Pat the cabbage dry with paper towels - and allow some air time spread on a large tray or platter if the cabbage still feels damp.
I use the Large side of a Metal Grater for the carrots while the cabbages are draining.
Stir Cabbage and Carrots together.
Add the Miracle Whip - or whatever you are using for dressing - a little at a time until you get the amount/taste/texture you want -
you can always add more dressing, but you can't take it out!
Reminder Tip: Use Miracle Whip if you prefer Sweet; Use Mayonnaise if you prefer tangy.
Too much sugar in kfc--gross to me, guess I'm the only one threw mine into a colander and washed it off fir my usual vinegrette...still so sweet, I couldn't believe it
Yuck, no thanks. Last kfc slaw I got was WAY too sweet. I do love Skippers though. That’s what I’m looking for.
They called overly sour food "bitter" as welk as overly salty food.
Exactly who are these people that suggest what you should or shouldn't do when making a specific dish
Bitter coleslaw (better call saul reference ong ong)
BETTER SAUL!
No carrots
KFC has the best slaw
first
Sweet! You da man! First is always the guy who gets the fame, the glory and all the beavers he can pelt!
@@mroggie8334 nice beaver, mind if i pet him??
I like soggy and limp
I saw a roach in the bowl....yuck!
Shh those are "raisins"
You just made Coleslaw so complicated that no one will make it anymore!
Way too complicated for Coleslaw.l

The more you complicate things....
