I've never had the funds for a WRX.
But my family swears by the Impreza wagons. My dad's had a 2006 Impreza wagon for ten years. Currently sitting at 273,000 miles.
And I just passed two years of ownership with my 2004 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. 284,000 miles on the clock.
I swear by these little wagons. They're the best cars for New England weather.

I have one in blue. Great car and we have the same attitude man. I was about to get into my car one day, this guy asked to see my motor. I told him I’m not a Honda boy. Drove away without showing off and think he cried a bit. Lol
I'm looking at buying an 04 wagon. Its cheap with a bunch of stuff replaced. Plus I won't do much HARD driving with it. I love the way it looks :)
Just make sure the maintenance has been done. Head gaskets every 100k. Things like that.
As long as it's been taken care of. And it isn't rotted to hell. I'd say go for it.

How’s the car been treating you? How many miles on it? I just bought a 2004 wrx wagon for my girl as a daily and we love it. Only issue is sometimes it idles low and sometimes feels like it wants to stall. Maybe iacv but not too worried about it.
I actually sold the car about a year and a half ago. Before that though it never gave me any issues, had 156k last I heard.
