So what's life like on a cruise? In this vlog we take you through our second day onboard our Sail Croatia Explorer Cruise and boat - breakfast, swim spots, lunch and exploring!
Todays attraction is Korcula Island, a stunning little town shaped like a fish bone and home to Marco Polo. Korcula had a real charm to it, small alleyways, restaurants and bars, amazing view and a more local feel the further from the boat you walked.

Marco Polo was indeed Croatian, regardless of Italy's attempts to claim otherwise. His father Italianized their surname Pilic to Polo (chicken). It's always a great conversation piece with Italians and Croats, myself being the latter! ;) Great shots of the landscape as always!
SJ Calderon it is Marko Pol! without o at the end....Pol is old surname from Korčula and he has signed himself just like that.Marco Polo is italian version of his name

Wow...I have to say it is a beautiful coastline. Korcula is so nice, it reminds me a bit of some small villages in France...Nice vlog as always!

You can tell how much you are enjoying this cruise! I'm loving these vlogs. The idea of waking up and the the ship is moving really appeals to me - it all adds to the sense of adventure. The coast line is as epic as I've heard over the years. I particularly liked the bleached colour of the stonework in Korcula and those amazing narrow fishbone streets. Great dive by the way - something I could never emulate as 1. I can't swim and 2. I get vertigo ha ha!
Thanks Rex! You're right, we loved it. Definitely feels like an adventure when you wake up on a moving boat, and getting to see a new place everyday is pretty epic. Haha oh... definitely no jumps for you then!

The sailing trips are a great introduction to the Croatian coast but the negative is that you move on so quick. Everyone I know who has done this trip says it was the time of their life and that they intend in returning and doing it at their own pace and visiting their favorite places on the ferry network. Catching ferries in Croatia is as easy as catching a bus
That's fair enough - theres ups and downs to both sides of travel though. For us, we move very slowly and have lots of time because we travel full-time, so having something new every day was insanely amazing. Others only had 9 days of holiday time and got to see loads of Croatia that they wouldnt be comfortable seeing on their own in that time as well. Lots on the boat actually were finishing the tour and had already prebooked to head back to Dubrovnik to be based for a few days which seemed like a good idea as well.

Love the video guys. Croatia is a wonderful place to visit. My wife and I spent 10 days there back in May. The scenery is truly spectacular! I could definitely see myself spending a lot more time over there! : )

There is not a lot of information available on these type of cruises so initially we were not interested but after watching your videos we changed our minds and have since booked a cruise with Sail Croatia for next year. I've never considered going on one of these cruises before as I thought the boats would be really small and unpleasant, and I'm not a party person at all! This video has completely changed my mind. This is definitely going on my bucket list for next summer! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the videos.
That's pretty close to what we assumed up until a few months ago - so you can imagine how stoked we were as well! Definitely add it to the list, one of our best weeks of the past few years :)
Looks so amazing, reminding me of when I went around there last year, only passed by Korcula on the way to Mljet. This boat trip looks so cool, great form with the backflip hah! Been away on holiday in Cornwall so haven't been able to catch up, making sure i'm on it with this boat series though.

Normally I would write a story based comment full of bollocks that has nothing to do with the vlog itself. But since the Sail Croatia Explorer Cruise was a most magical experience for you, I will be on my best behaviour and write something about the vlog itself. So, without much ado, here goes...
Korcula Island and it’s surrounding waters is truly magical, straight out of a picture book. Your aerial photography is second to none and the editing is ç'est magnifique et excellent.
Always remember what Alexandra Stoddard has said, “When you leave a beautiful place, you carry it with you wherever you go”
I have come to expect greatness from you and this vlog does not disappoint. It’s a visual and sensory experience for the mind.
May I just add, that was an excellent back flip and perfect entry into the water. Nary a splash on entry.

Go to Game of Thrones Dubrovnik Tour. If you just got to Dubrovnik and don't know where to start, I recommend you to start from this tour. We had originally walked around the city ourselves but missed most of the places filming took place. Booking the tour was easy and the prices were very reasonable. Enjoy Croatia! ❤
We did a walking tour! Stace hasn't seen GOT so we did the normal tour and we loved it - can't wait to share the video next week :)

I spend all my summers on Korčula, in my little house just outside town, I go to where you anchored and swam almost every day with my boat. And you published the video on my birthday...what are the odds...pumping up the colors a bit in editing would have brought the experience closer to reality though...I think Marco Polo being from Korčula is a bit of wishful thinking since it's not a confirmed fact...keep it up!

Korcula at the time of Marco Polo was obviously part of the Roman, Venetian Empires as was much of Europe and Croatia, but Korcula today is Croatia

Hahaha. We definitely loved this style of cruising, small group of people, less staff and they were all awesome as well - new boat as well. Dream life!

What did you find was the general age of people on the explorer cruise? I am travelling with my partner, we're 29 years old. We can't party hard every single night, but we're definitely up for a couple of big nights here and there!
It ranged from about 25 - 55 from memory. We're the same as you guys, good to find some people that want to party/have a few drinks but not interested in skinny dipping every night after shots haha. There was a few other couples on the boat we made friends with and some of the older cats were keen on drinks as well so it was a really nice balance. Do it. It's the right option for you guys.

Daneger and Stacey we could discuss that! But seriously, when I realized how close Zagreb was to Ljubljana, I was bummed that I didn't plan a trip in June. I went to Italy instead and learned that I would have enjoyed Croatia a lot more! Oh well, you live an learn. Now I have plans for next year.

Tiger`s Eye Litlle island????seriously????Korčula is about 35km long and between 7-9km wide.......i had a girlfriend there from the other side of the island,town called Vela luka.....and yes i want to live there too....and almost have....but i had bad luck with the chick so i am stuck in the continental part

I agree. I live in Croatia and we get mad sometimes when we see the prices. But, since we know that's how it goes, we don't visit touris sights during season as the prices go down during winter. Plus, if you go just few streets away from center, you can find just as good food and drink and souvenirs but waay cheaper ;)

Whether its Split or Korcula or any other place, thing is hose places are much nicer to visit during the highseason and at evening. There isnt much life there during the day, its mostly boring.
