Some of my decisions were definitely... interesting If anyone is curious, here is the context behind each of the jerseys (from when I made them): Anaheim: City Flag Arizona: Grand Canyon/Southwestern US feel Boston: City’s role in the US revolution with the colors and Betsy Ross’ original US flag (the stars) Buffalo: City flag and the city’s name Calgary: City flag emblem along with the popularity of rodeo in the city Carolina: Colors and style meant to replicate the Smokey Mountain Range in the Western part of the state Chicago: City flag and the Chicago theater sign Colorado: State flag... could’ve done mountains but I’ve seen it before and done it before in earlier posts Columbus: Union soldiers uniforms with the colors, gold trim (from the buttons and cuffs), captain patch, and the three army stripes Dallas: Old west feel with the font and brown Detroit: Motor City, Ford-esque striping and tire treads Edmonton: City flag Florida: The colors remind me of the state, (sunsets) and the green makes it feel citrusy Los Angeles: Text from Hollywood sign and striping is the city flag Minnesota: The icy blue is meant to represent the 10,000 lakes frozen over in the winter Montreal: Fluer de lis, French symbol and colors from the Canadian flag Nashville: Music city, six stripes represent the strings on a guitar New Jersey: State outline behind the logo New York Isles: Deep blue and lighthouse logo to represent the ocean New York Rangers: Originally intended to be a sort of sash as the team was named after a Texas paramilitary force (or something similar) but turned into a replication of the team logo. Liberty bell is a landmark of the city Pittsburgh: Steel texture for the steel industry, the black and gold is synonymous with the city. The logo includes a bridge, found everywhere in the Burgh, and the three stars from the Steelers logo which all represent different “ingredients” to make steel. San Jose: Tried to make the jersey give off a “technology” vibe with the outlined logo and striping as well as the coding texture St. Louis: City flag Tampa Bay: The Lightning capital of the US, glowing stripes meant to look like lightning bolts and grey for a stormy sky Toronto: CN tower Vancouver: Colors are from the city flag along with the shoulder patch Vegas: Checkered stripe and colors meant to give off a casino feel Washington: City flag (the three stars) and USA colors. Neil, the “cartoony wave” in the Flag of St. Louis is in fact water. It represents the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers coming together as one in St. Louis. ❤️ from The Lou

I would say about the STL one that it’s probably supposed to look like water - the wavy lines in the flag represent the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, which is literally the reason STL exists.
Funny thing is that in Anaheim you don’t really see that city flag anywhere, not even at our city hall. Most of the Anaheimers disapprove the new flag design.
Random thoughts: -Using the Flames “C” logo as the captain patch means they could also use the original Atlanta Flames “A” logo for the alternate captain patch. -The Carolina one looks like it’s nodding to the Hartford Whalers colors. - The thing that looks weirdest to me about the Devils one is that the shape of New Jersey is oriented correctly to geographic north. Usually when you see an outline of New Jersey, it’s oriented with the right angle “point” at the top.
My Thoughts: Buffalo: Honestly it looks amazing! Really like the main logo Detroit: It’s a bit bland but the tire marks and the words “MOTOR CITY” look nice Boston: 🔥 that’s all I have to say. It’s beautiful Winnipeg: Very old school and I like it St. Louis: The red strips look good but it’s not my favourite Nashville: The stripes are a little funny looking but the logo is real nice 👍 Minnesota: AMAZING!!! If I had to choose a name for this jersey, it would be called “Ice Edition” looks very much like ice Dallas: Looks sooooooo old school. It’s 🔥 Colorado: This works super well! The flag looks good but it’s a bit bland at the bottom Chicago: Looks very much like their flag! He did this right!! Florida: Ew 🤮 Montreal: Ngl the front logo would be way better as a shoulder patch Tampa Bay: The black is awesome! I love the white lines because they look like lights on! Toronto: Looks a bit silly at first glance but I noticed that the sides have the CN Tower on it! I love it 👍 Anaheim: *BIG* no for me Arizona: Everything works and looks great with this jersey Calgary: 🤮 it looks like poop 💩 (Sorry Calgary Fans 😂) Edmonton: Just Like Minnesota, *ICE EDITION* LA: The sides look like a candy wrapper 😂 San Jose: Love that neon logo!! 1. New York Islanders Love lighthouse concepts and the uses of two versions of blue works very well. Excellent! 2. Philadelphia Flyers Well, maybe not as a full-time jersey, but for a Winter Classic? Definitely! 3. Tampa Bay Lightning I truly dislike their current black/grey, but add some color and it's much better. 4. Nashville Predators As long as I don't have to see a Preds concept with that "tilted head" logo, I'm good. 5. San Jose Sharks Black is always nice, especially as it makes the orange stripe pop even more.
As an Arizona Coyotes fan, I have been WAITING for a jersey concept that reflected our state flag and this is excellent! I like TPark’s idea of having a bit more yellow in there but man this is excellent. I would buy this without hesitation.
As a Blues fan from St. Louis, I love the St. Louis flag but I wish they could have implemented it a little more subtly than they did. Kind of like the Florida Panthers in one of his previous videos with the flag of Florida in the background. If not they could put it on a patch on the shoulders or sleeves also likes the Panthers do
Love these clips about team uniforms. I can help with 2 unis, explaining what the meaning are. Buffalo held a World Exposition in the very early 1900's where everything in the Niagara Frontier was the very first use of electricity for lighting, etc. Hence the lightning bolts. This was when Pres Wm McKinley was assassinated in Buffalo. And yes it is the city flag. As far as the Kings go, my best explanation of the font is that it is the font and letter positioning of the Hollywood Sign. Of course, I was born in Buffalo, spenty my first 22 yrs there and moved to L.A.
1. That Canucks concept is amazing and I'd buy that in a heartbeat! However, I don't like that he re-colourized the shoulder patches and he should have kept them completely gold. 2. The state outline in that Devils concept looks like a melting popsicle. 3. The overall design of the Isles concept is phenomenal, but I'd like the striping on the arms better if they were on the same plane as the chest striping. 4. I have the same criticism of the Anaheim jersey as I do the Isles one. Conceptually phenomenal, but I think the teal stripe on the sleeves would look better on the same plane as the stripe on the chest. The numeration and the stars should be brought down so to overlay the teal stripes. Vancouver, NY Isles, Anaheim and Pittsburgh are my favourites.
I was born and raised in North Carolina and I absolutely love the Carolina jersey. North Carolina is called the Tar Heel State. I do wish they would've added the state flag on the shoulders or even incorporated the colors from the flag into the jersey.
St. Louis: Love the use of the flag. Yes it looks like water. On the flag it represents the great rivers coming together at St. Louis. However they should have adapted the flag design to a traditional Blues color theme. I agree with Cordell, and will state it stronger. NO. RED. EVER*. on a Blue's sweater. Looks too much like the 3 years of jersey disaster in the 90's that should have never happened. Also the 90's type logo with word mark and red is unfortunate. The current Note has achieved perfection. The original Note was great as well. We know who the Note represents. No words necessary, needed, or wanted. *A cross promotion with the local baseball team is the only acceptable exception.
Now I don’t know if this would even be legal, changes I would make to the Vegas jersey would be: 1. Take the primary logo & put it in the center of a poker chip that would serve as the crest for the jersey, with the poker chip containing the black & white stripe on the jersey as its edge. 2. Take said black & white stripe, and use it for the inside collar rather than the card symbols, then eliminate the stripe on the sleeves & waistline (or keep the card symbols, but eliminate the stripe on the sleeves & waistline, only using that stripe on the edge of the poker chip crest). 3. Add the city seal as a patch to the sleeves above the numbers (or the flag altogether) 4. Add the secondary logo to the shoulder pads I’m not sure if such a concept could even be legal given the gambling theme it would bestow, but if the Knights were to go that path, those changes would make that jersey look fabulous IMO.
My thoughts Buffalo: Totally agree, remove the swords from the sleeve stripes and it's perfect Detroit: It's a nice update though I think the tire tracks would have been better if they were white and didn't have the solid stripe. Motor City was a nice touch. Boston: I love it, just, love it. I love how the logo has 13 stars for the original 13 colonies and a great reference to the Betsy Ross flag. I almost wish the Patriots looked like that, it would certainly make them less hatable...slightly... Winnipeg: Meh. St. Louis: A little cheesy but I get what they were going for. Though I wish people would stop putting a red outline around the Blues logo, just don't look right. Nashville: What they could have done was have those guitar string stripes and turn them blue through the white and yellow parts of the sleeves. Other than that it looks great to me. Minnesota: Uuhhhh, I honestly have no idea what to say here, on the one hand I normally don't think blue and green work very well, but on the other hand this thing draws my eyes and I don't wanna look away. But on the other hand, the trees in the sleeve stripes are unnecessary, but on the other hand I'm glad he chose a light cream instead of white, that makes it so much better. I'm conflicted here. Dallas: No brown, please. I think they should have picked another old western-style typeface because that one just looks weird, and they didn't need the black outline around them. Colorado: Why does this team always have some of the best jerseys? This one's great. Chicago: Yeah I saw that one coming, to be fair that city flag they have is excellent and there aren't enough light blue teams in hockey. Florida: Oh come on Panthers, if you're going to pick colors that match a college team, pick the one in Gainesville, not the one in Miami. I mean, I know you're close to Miami but geez. Well, I suppose it's better than the one in Tallahassee at least. And this is the second time where I've seen a gradient I didn't hate, the other one was the Dallas Mavericks street graffiti one, that one I really liked. But it's a trend I want to see die quickly, starting with the Atlanta Falcons jerseys, just... ew. By the way Panthers, why can't you just go with the Miami Vice look that the Marlins adopted and the Heat used for a couple of games? It's totally unique to Miami and it's gorgeous, I wish all the Miami teams (well except the Dolphins, their colors are just fine) had those colors. Montreal: I can't help but think this is what New Orleans would come up with if they got a team...only red. Doesn't help that it also reminds me of Detroit's normal jersey. Tampa Bay: What is it with you people and making the Lightning jerseys black? Stoppit, it's lazy. Or at the very least change the blue to sky blue to make it look good rather than terrible. Toronto: Very, very nice. Blue and white always works for me. The horizontal stripe on the sleeve looks really weird though. Anaheim: I want this to be their new main jersey, I love this. I also love that the flag is thought colors. It's hard for me to hate two-tone blue. If they ever start selling these jerseys, I'd be first in line to buy one. Arizona: Duuuuude that thing is siiiiick, I love it. Calgary: I think if that red was actually brown to match the rest of the jersey, or if the jersey actually matched the colors of the flag, it would look okay. A big improvement would be to put the US flag on to share the shoulder with the Canadian one and then the state flag of Georgia with the Alberta flag harking back to their Atlanta days and REALLY confusing the snot out of people ;) Edmonton: I want this. I want this jersey soooo bad. It's the perfect sky blue and the way it looks like the city flag is brilliant. LA: Huh, I expected a few hammers, sickles, and snowflakes on that city flag knowing LA. But jokes aside, the way the word Los Angeles mimics the Hollywood sign is very clever. San Jose: Normally I like neon and for the most part the neon looks fine here but for some reason on the logo, particularly on the small details I kinda lose it. I dunno, it's probably just me. Vancouver: Mostly alright, but unlike Minnesota, the blue and green combo doesn't work here. Vegas: Eeeehhh I think they used too much red. I get the poker chip aspect of it with the checkerboard pattern stripes. Carolina: The issue I'm having here is because of the name I've always felt that they're trying to appeal to both North AND South Carolina, despite being located in northern NC. So I'm not fond of the green and blue, plus their normals colors mirror that of the city flag of Raleigh. I think I'd put Palmetto trees with the crescent moon on the shoulder pads to give a wink to South Carolina. If they replaced the green with red, I think that would look better. Columbus: You'd think that a team whose name is a reference to the Ohio divisions of the civil war would normally have jerseys that mimicked the Union army uniform in some capacity like this, but hey I'm not Columbus' jersey designer. That being said I think if the blue stripe was the same as the blue on the jersey, and the gold stripes were gone, this would look pretty friggin' sweet, and it already looks really good as is. Also, nice wink to the Ohio state flag in the collar. NJ: Well, I think overall it looks fine, not too fond of the NJ part of the shoulder logos being black, they need to be white. Not sure what to think about the main logo too. NY Islanders: OOoooohhhh Me likey. NY Rangers: If the city skyline was actually white and not a white stroke, and higher up to line up with the sash, this would be perfect. Ottawa: This is why I hate corporate sponsors taking center stage on team jerseys, it looks so soulless and out of place, like the sponsor is more important than the team. I know the logo here is from the city flag but it looks like a corporate logo. I wish all sports leagues would ban those from taking center stage on jerseys (well except motorsports, but that's a different animal), get that crap out of here or you'll look as soulless as soccer teams. Pittsburgh: Yeah no surprises here, the Penguins carrying on the tradition of Pittsburgh teams carrying the city's flag colors. I will say when I first saw the thing the stripes made me think of the Steelers' sleeve stripes but upon another look of the steelers jersey, I can confirm that they don't look the same. I think they should have used the 90's logo on the shoulders because let's be honest that thing is amazing. Philly: Uuhhh, well, I get where they're going and it's very unique if a bit old fashioned and I don't dislike it or anything. I think if the numbers were moved up to the shoulders and in that parchment color it would look better. Washington: Make this their permanent away jersey now, the Capitals can't look any better than this. Top 5 in no order: Edmonton, Anaheim, Washington, Arizona, Colorado.
Toronto Maple Leafs City Jersey would be number 1 for me on this list. Beautiful, the Scenic Tower emblem along the sleeves is awesome! Winnipeg Jets City Jersey number 2. Bold, classy, familiar, and real, including the diagonal dual-opposing single white stripes. Vancouver Canucks City Jersey would be number 31. Please, don't incorporate "Johnny Canuck" in a jersey design, ever! Carolina Hurricanes City Jersey number 30. Tarheel blue is powder blue for the state of North Carolina. I hate to admit it, but the Pittsburgh Penguins City Jersey is classy, attractive and likable, including the Yellow diamond for coal, Red for ore, and Blue for scrap iron, the three ingredients in the making of steel and, hence, the Steel City... Chicago Black Hawks City Jersey: Boring! Also, for the Montreal Canadiens City Jersey, if you were to add a blue outline to the red fleur-de-lis, it would would be amazing!! And lastly, alter the color of the Devils' home state from white to grassy green. After all, New Jersey is the Garden State. Nice work, Charlie!
My thoughts on a few: 1) as a Bruins fan, I wasn't a fan although I dig the reasoning. I think you GOT TO keep black n yellow for any Bruins sweaters 2) Nashville looked like a MLS jersey, not hockey. But for a soccer fit, very well done. 3) Minnesota- odd color combo but it works. Shoulder patches should be more centered on shoulder to neck area. 4) Dallas feels very.....hokey? Kiddie? I could see them sponsoring a youth league with these sweaters 5) Panthers- feels too....generic? Like a "create-a-fit" option in NHL 2032 for Playstation 6. A little too future for my liking lol 6) Canadiens- HATE the team, but actually really dig the concept. Fleur-de-lis is ideal as the focal point. I think it needs a blue outline around it tho instead of white 7) TB!- Love the hazy look. Like the blur you see on an actual lightning bolt. I don't like the cliche circular logo tho. Like the charcoal gray color scheme, but could SLIGHTLY lighten the blue to give more of an electricity feel 8) Toronto- too much white but somehow it works, get rid of CN Tower, or greatly reduce the size of it, maybe use it as a side stripe in a "shadow of blue" color. 9) Anaheim- love the attention to detail to include the stars around the numbers and not the primary logo on front. Feels TOO blue, but I still dig it. 10) Calgary- oh. my. Brown? Light brown? Tan? Red? Eeeesh. The shoulder patches both look outta place. This feels very "foreign country team" feel, not a North American team. Idk but I'm not a fan at ALL 11) Oilers- LOVE. IT. 12) Sharks- soooo incredible! Wow. Love it 13) Vegas- LOVE color scheme, minus the white boxes at bottom. But that gray/red dynamic? Love it 14) Vancouver-drop green. Maybe use flag for primary logo instead of Johnny Canuck. 15) Islanders- BEAUTIFUL! Love it Love it Love it 16) instead of Blue w white lettering, flip it, and make bottom area blue instead of white so it becomes "Red, white, blue" instead of "red, blue, white", but dig it as a concept 17) Ottawa- add gold trim to logo. Add that black area on sleeves to bottom as well. 18) Penguins- drop the "Steelers" diamonds and enlarge bridge and it's flawless. Maybe change shoulders to numbers or that bridge again 19) Capitals- really really like it. Looks elegant, evokes pride of city. Love it. 20) Red Wings- hate the "motor city" font, but LOVE the tire track idea and how toned down and inconspicuous you made it.
what you missed for the sharks jersey is that the city flag is in the collar. this artist ditched the idea of just putting "this is sharks territory" there. but I agree that a sharks jersey in the flag colors would be fun and interesting.
The kings jerseys actually go a little deeper than u guys saw. That font you don’t like is actually a nod to the Hollywood sign. As soon as I realized that I found a new appreciation for the Jersey. As a kings fan I would definitely watch my kings play in these jerseys.
Hey Neil, I noticed that you liked the “captain” patch in the Columbus concept, and I wasn’t sure if you knew or not but the Florida Panthers actually do this on the sleeve, and I absolutely love it. I think it works better on the sleeve than the torso, but I’d love to see Columbus implement it in a jersey design, as it fits their identity better than Florida’s.
Nathan, when Buffalo was first incorporated as a city, all downtown streets were canals, like Venice, Italy. And Italians were one of the first nationalities to settle Buffalo, hence canals.
If the rangers jersey had blue shoulders that transitioned into the right sleeve of the jersey it would match the logo even better. It would also correct the blue to red ratio which as a rangers fan is very important to me.
I loved the design of the Blue Jackets jersey. The chevrons and gold accents are a not to civil war uniforms, most of which had gold accents, although I do think it clashes a bit with the cream color. I kinda wish that I could see the same design with red instead of light blue to tie in more with the state flag.
Flyers fan here, I like the script, love it actually. Use perhaps orange with the nice black. We never had brown in our system it doesnt look right. But keep our main logo and maybe use the script of Philadelphia as piping on bottom. Or perhaps use our main logo on shoulders and use Philadelphia as center but on slant. We had a team called the Quakers that had script like that on a slant. But just an idea. But yeah we want our logo on it somewhere and do away with brown.
The green from the Carolina jersey it is hard to tell but if you look at the lettering in the two gold seals on the Carolina state flag that is the color that he uses
I Think on the Columbus jersey they shed on the captain his jersey use the rank insignia for a captain in the United States military which is two silver bars connected
Most of the concepts of Montreal I don’t like but Montreal’s today was sick. Btw man you really deserve more subs and likes because of how much dedication you put into your videos. I love your concept vids, keep up the good work!👍👍
I cant do graphic design.. damn engineers, but in the Boston jersey, they have Boston strong. In detroit there's a saying Detroit vs Everybody. I dont know how anyone would create jerseys in that realm, but would be cool. For another example for new York you could do a "never forget" jersey. Juat a thought for like a commemorative type jersey.
Technically as the Wild are based in St. Paul, MN, the concept makes little sense, seeing as it is based off of the Minneapolis flag. Interesting design though.
Instead of writing the word captain they should have used the actual double bars they designate a captain in the military since the Blue Jackets take their homage from the Union Army of the Civil War.

The Sabres one is the city flag and a representation of first long distance electricity from Niagara Falls to Buffalo
Funny thing is that in Anaheim you don’t really see that city flag anywhere, not even at our city hall. Most of the Anaheimers disapprove the new flag design.
The bruins jersey looks like the barstool sports logo which started in Boston. Very cool concept.
Just to give you some information..... the font is a play on the famous "Hollywood" sign from L.A. Is not refrigerator magnets.....lol.
Jets being my favorite team. Most of the concepts I am critical about but this one I like
Random thoughts:
-Using the Flames “C” logo as the captain patch means they could also use the original Atlanta Flames “A” logo for the alternate captain patch.
-The Carolina one looks like it’s nodding to the Hartford Whalers colors.
- The thing that looks weirdest to me about the Devils one is that the shape of New Jersey is oriented correctly to geographic north. Usually when you see an outline of New Jersey, it’s oriented with the right angle “point” at the top.
My Thoughts:
Buffalo: Honestly it looks amazing! Really like the main logo
Detroit: It’s a bit bland but the tire marks and the words “MOTOR CITY” look nice
Boston: 🔥 that’s all I have to say. It’s beautiful
Winnipeg: Very old school and I like it
St. Louis: The red strips look good but it’s not my favourite
Nashville: The stripes are a little funny looking but the logo is real nice 👍
Minnesota: AMAZING!!! If I had to choose a name for this jersey, it would be called “Ice Edition” looks very much like ice

Black is always nice, especially as it makes the orange stripe pop even more.

As an Arizona Coyotes fan, I have been WAITING for a jersey concept that reflected our state flag and this is excellent! I like TPark’s idea of having a bit more yellow in there but man this is excellent. I would buy this without hesitation.

As a Blues fan from St. Louis, I love the St. Louis flag but I wish they could have implemented it a little more subtly than they did. Kind of like the Florida Panthers in one of his previous videos with the flag of Florida in the background. If not they could put it on a patch on the shoulders or sleeves also likes the Panthers do

Love these clips about team uniforms. I can help with 2 unis, explaining what the meaning are. Buffalo held a World Exposition in the very early 1900's where everything in the Niagara Frontier was the very first use of electricity for lighting, etc. Hence the lightning bolts. This was when Pres Wm McKinley was assassinated in Buffalo. And yes it is the city flag. As far as the Kings go, my best explanation of the font is that it is the font and letter positioning of the Hollywood Sign. Of course, I was born in Buffalo, spenty my first 22 yrs there and moved to L.A.
1. That Canucks concept is amazing and I'd buy that in a heartbeat! However, I don't like that he re-colourized the shoulder patches and he should have kept them completely gold.
2. The state outline in that Devils concept looks like a melting popsicle.
3. The overall design of the Isles concept is phenomenal, but I'd like the striping on the arms better if they were on the same plane as the chest striping.
4. I have the same criticism of the Anaheim jersey as I do the Isles one. Conceptually phenomenal, but I think the teal stripe on the sleeves would look better on the same plane as the stripe on the chest. The numeration and the stars should be brought down so to overlay the teal stripes.
Vancouver, NY Isles, Anaheim and Pittsburgh are my favourites.

I was born and raised in North Carolina and I absolutely love the Carolina jersey. North Carolina is called the Tar Heel State. I do wish they would've added the state flag on the shoulders or even incorporated the colors from the flag into the jersey.
I'd love to see all-star jersey concepts, especially when previous all-star jerseys were less than impressive.
St. Louis: Love the use of the flag. Yes it looks like water. On the flag it represents the great rivers coming together at St. Louis.
However they should have adapted the flag design to a traditional Blues color theme.
I agree with Cordell, and will state it stronger. NO. RED. EVER*. on a Blue's sweater. Looks too much like the 3 years of jersey disaster in the 90's that should have never happened. Also the 90's type logo with word mark and red is unfortunate. The current Note has achieved perfection. The original Note was great as well. We know who the Note represents. No words necessary, needed, or wanted.
*A cross promotion with the local baseball team is the only acceptable exception.
Now I don’t know if this would even be legal, changes I would make to the Vegas jersey would be:
1. Take the primary logo & put it in the center of a poker chip that would serve as the crest for the jersey, with the poker chip containing the black & white stripe on the jersey as its edge.
2. Take said black & white stripe, and use it for the inside collar rather than the card symbols, then eliminate the stripe on the sleeves & waistline (or keep the card symbols, but eliminate the stripe on the sleeves & waistline, only using that stripe on the edge of the poker chip crest).
3. Add the city seal as a patch to the sleeves above the numbers (or the flag altogether)
4. Add the secondary logo to the shoulder pads
I’m not sure if such a concept could even be legal given the gambling theme it would bestow, but if the Knights were to go that path, those changes would make that jersey look fabulous IMO.
My thoughts
Buffalo: Totally agree, remove the swords from the sleeve stripes and it's perfect
Detroit: It's a nice update though I think the tire tracks would have been better if they were white and didn't have the solid stripe. Motor City was a nice touch.
Boston: I love it, just, love it. I love how the logo has 13 stars for the original 13 colonies and a great reference to the Betsy Ross flag. I almost wish the Patriots looked like that, it would certainly make them less hatable...slightly...
Winnipeg: Meh.
St. Louis: A little cheesy but I get what they were going for. Though I wish people would stop putting a red outline around the Blues logo, just don't look right.
Nashville: What they could have done was have those guitar string stripes and turn them blue through the white and yellow parts of the sleeves. Other than that it looks great to me.
Minnesota: Uuhhhh, I honestly have no idea what to say here, on the one hand I normally don't think blue and green work very well, but on the other hand this thing draws my eyes and I don't wanna look away. But on the other hand, the trees in the sleeve stripes are unnecessary, but on the other hand I'm glad he chose a light cream instead of white, that makes it so much better. I'm conflicted here.
Dallas: No brown, please. I think they should have picked another old western-style typeface because that one just looks weird, and they didn't need the black outline around them.
Colorado: Why does this team always have some of the best jerseys? This one's great.
Chicago: Yeah I saw that one coming, to be fair that city flag they have is excellent and there aren't enough light blue teams in hockey.
Florida: Oh come on Panthers, if you're going to pick colors that match a college team, pick the one in Gainesville, not the one in Miami. I mean, I know you're close to Miami but geez. Well, I suppose it's better than the one in Tallahassee at least. And this is the second time where I've seen a gradient I didn't hate, the other one was the Dallas Mavericks street graffiti one, that one I really liked. But it's a trend I want to see die quickly, starting with the Atlanta Falcons jerseys, just... ew. By the way Panthers, why can't you just go with the Miami Vice look that the Marlins adopted and the Heat used for a couple of games? It's totally unique to Miami and it's gorgeous, I wish all the Miami teams (well except the Dolphins, their colors are just fine) had those colors.
Montreal: I can't help but think this is what New Orleans would come up with if they got a team...only red. Doesn't help that it also reminds me of Detroit's normal jersey.
Tampa Bay: What is it with you people and making the Lightning jerseys black? Stoppit, it's lazy. Or at the very least change the blue to sky blue to make it look good rather than terrible.
Toronto: Very, very nice. Blue and white always works for me. The horizontal stripe on the sleeve looks really weird though.
Anaheim: I want this to be their new main jersey, I love this. I also love that the flag is thought colors. It's hard for me to hate two-tone blue. If they ever start selling these jerseys, I'd be first in line to buy one.
Arizona: Duuuuude that thing is siiiiick, I love it.
Calgary: I think if that red was actually brown to match the rest of the jersey, or if the jersey actually matched the colors of the flag, it would look okay. A big improvement would be to put the US flag on to share the shoulder with the Canadian one and then the state flag of Georgia with the Alberta flag harking back to their Atlanta days and REALLY confusing the snot out of people ;)
Edmonton: I want this. I want this jersey soooo bad. It's the perfect sky blue and the way it looks like the city flag is brilliant.
LA: Huh, I expected a few hammers, sickles, and snowflakes on that city flag knowing LA. But jokes aside, the way the word Los Angeles mimics the Hollywood sign is very clever.
San Jose: Normally I like neon and for the most part the neon looks fine here but for some reason on the logo, particularly on the small details I kinda lose it. I dunno, it's probably just me.
Vancouver: Mostly alright, but unlike Minnesota, the blue and green combo doesn't work here.
Vegas: Eeeehhh I think they used too much red. I get the poker chip aspect of it with the checkerboard pattern stripes.
Carolina: The issue I'm having here is because of the name I've always felt that they're trying to appeal to both North AND South Carolina, despite being located in northern NC. So I'm not fond of the green and blue, plus their normals colors mirror that of the city flag of Raleigh. I think I'd put Palmetto trees with the crescent moon on the shoulder pads to give a wink to South Carolina. If they replaced the green with red, I think that would look better.
Columbus: You'd think that a team whose name is a reference to the Ohio divisions of the civil war would normally have jerseys that mimicked the Union army uniform in some capacity like this, but hey I'm not Columbus' jersey designer. That being said I think if the blue stripe was the same as the blue on the jersey, and the gold stripes were gone, this would look pretty friggin' sweet, and it already looks really good as is. Also, nice wink to the Ohio state flag in the collar.
NJ: Well, I think overall it looks fine, not too fond of the NJ part of the shoulder logos being black, they need to be white. Not sure what to think about the main logo too.
NY Islanders: OOoooohhhh Me likey.
NY Rangers: If the city skyline was actually white and not a white stroke, and higher up to line up with the sash, this would be perfect.
Ottawa: This is why I hate corporate sponsors taking center stage on team jerseys, it looks so soulless and out of place, like the sponsor is more important than the team. I know the logo here is from the city flag but it looks like a corporate logo. I wish all sports leagues would ban those from taking center stage on jerseys (well except motorsports, but that's a different animal), get that crap out of here or you'll look as soulless as soccer teams.
Pittsburgh: Yeah no surprises here, the Penguins carrying on the tradition of Pittsburgh teams carrying the city's flag colors. I will say when I first saw the thing the stripes made me think of the Steelers' sleeve stripes but upon another look of the steelers jersey, I can confirm that they don't look the same. I think they should have used the 90's logo on the shoulders because let's be honest that thing is amazing.
Philly: Uuhhh, well, I get where they're going and it's very unique if a bit old fashioned and I don't dislike it or anything. I think if the numbers were moved up to the shoulders and in that parchment color it would look better.
Washington: Make this their permanent away jersey now, the Capitals can't look any better than this.
Top 5 in no order: Edmonton, Anaheim, Washington, Arizona, Colorado.
Toronto Maple Leafs City Jersey would be number 1 for me on this list.

My thoughts on a few:
1) as a Bruins fan, I wasn't a fan although I dig the reasoning. I think you GOT TO keep black n yellow for any Bruins sweaters
2) Nashville looked like a MLS jersey, not hockey. But for a soccer fit, very well done.
3) Minnesota- odd color combo but it works. Shoulder patches should be more centered on shoulder to neck area.
4) Dallas feels very.....hokey? Kiddie? I could see them sponsoring a youth league with these sweaters
5) Panthers- feels too....generic? Like a "create-a-fit" option in NHL 2032 for Playstation 6. A little too future for my liking lol
6) Canadiens- HATE the team, but actually really dig the concept. Fleur-de-lis is ideal as the focal point. I think it needs a blue outline around it tho instead of white
7) TB!- Love the hazy look. Like the blur you see on an actual lightning bolt. I don't like the cliche circular logo tho. Like the charcoal gray color scheme, but could SLIGHTLY lighten the blue to give more of an electricity feel
8) Toronto- too much white but somehow it works, get rid of CN Tower, or greatly reduce the size of it, maybe use it as a side stripe in a "shadow of blue" color.
9) Anaheim- love the attention to detail to include the stars around the numbers and not the primary logo on front. Feels TOO blue, but I still dig it.
10) Calgary- oh. my. Brown? Light brown? Tan? Red? Eeeesh. The shoulder patches both look outta place. This feels very "foreign country team" feel, not a North American team. Idk but I'm not a fan at ALL
11) Oilers- LOVE. IT.
12) Sharks- soooo incredible! Wow. Love it
13) Vegas- LOVE color scheme, minus the white boxes at bottom. But that gray/red dynamic? Love it
14) Vancouver-drop green. Maybe use flag for primary logo instead of Johnny Canuck.
15) Islanders- BEAUTIFUL! Love it Love it Love it
16) instead of Blue w white lettering, flip it, and make bottom area blue instead of white so it becomes "Red, white, blue" instead of "red, blue, white", but dig it as a concept
17) Ottawa- add gold trim to logo. Add that black area on sleeves to bottom as well.
18) Penguins- drop the "Steelers" diamonds and enlarge bridge and it's flawless. Maybe change shoulders to numbers or that bridge again
19) Capitals- really really like it. Looks elegant, evokes pride of city. Love it.
20) Red Wings- hate the "motor city" font, but LOVE the tire track idea and how toned down and inconspicuous you made it.
what you missed for the sharks jersey is that the city flag is in the collar. this artist ditched the idea of just putting "this is sharks territory" there. but I agree that a sharks jersey in the flag colors would be fun and interesting.

The kings jerseys actually go a little deeper than u guys saw. That font you don’t like is actually a nod to the Hollywood sign. As soon as I realized that I found a new appreciation for the Jersey. As a kings fan I would definitely watch my kings play in these jerseys.

Hey Neil, I noticed that you liked the “captain” patch in the Columbus concept, and I wasn’t sure if you knew or not but the Florida Panthers actually do this on the sleeve, and I absolutely love it. I think it works better on the sleeve than the torso, but I’d love to see Columbus implement it in a jersey design, as it fits their identity better than Florida’s.

Buffalo's city layout was originally a spoked street system. Dunno if that was intended but a touch that I noticed
Nathan, when Buffalo was first incorporated as a city, all downtown streets were canals, like Venice, Italy. And Italians were one of the first nationalities to settle Buffalo, hence canals.
As a Wings fan, this is the first concept Wings jersey where not only do I like it... I WANT IT!!!!

If the rangers jersey had blue shoulders that transitioned into the right sleeve of the jersey it would match the logo even better. It would also correct the blue to red ratio which as a rangers fan is very important to me.

I loved the design of the Blue Jackets jersey. The chevrons and gold accents are a not to civil war uniforms, most of which had gold accents, although I do think it clashes a bit with the cream color. I kinda wish that I could see the same design with red instead of light blue to tie in more with the state flag.
Flyers fan here, I like the script, love it actually. Use perhaps orange with the nice black. We never had brown in our system it doesnt look right. But keep our main logo and maybe use the script of Philadelphia as piping on bottom. Or perhaps use our main logo on shoulders and use Philadelphia as center but on slant. We had a team called the Quakers that had script like that on a slant. But just an idea. But yeah we want our logo on it somewhere and do away with brown.
i think those pinstripes on the Nashville jersey are supposed to be guitar strings.

I cant do graphic design.. damn engineers, but in the Boston jersey, they have Boston strong. In detroit there's a saying Detroit vs Everybody. I dont know how anyone would create jerseys in that realm, but would be cool. For another example for new York you could do a "never forget" jersey. Juat a thought for like a commemorative type jersey.
