Sounds great! How many Ah do you have in your system? we calculated that we would need 500Ah in our system but it looks like we need more probably since we like traveling during winters. 😅😅 If you have any questions just give us a shout👍
Hello again Katja and Bjorn our system is party old, solar panels(24 v)>14 years old with New reglar from Victron and two 100 amp lifepo4 battery serial, our 508 is 24 volt so the van battery(led) are also serial 2x100 amp. When driving, the switch open and load the house battery to but with low amp. Does that change when we build in a havy alternator? Before the lifepo4 we had fritits battery from Biltema and they get loaded very good. But when the lifepo4 batts are loaded 99 % we can stay 4 nights on the spot.
I learned so much watching this. Great job dismantling and installing your new alternator. Also, was that a Korean drink in the background in your garage?

Yes our alternator is 24V and the rest of the truck too all thee lights etc, 🤗 but the living part of our system is 12V. Our alternator has an inbuilt voltage regulator. 👍
Tjabba! Bra fråga vi använder en DC/DC som är 24V-12V då har vi kopplat vår från startbatterierna 24V till B2B laddaren sedan till våra bodels batterier som är 12V. Se till att ha ett skiljerelä i mellan dina startbatterier och B2B laddaren så att din bil först och främst laddar startbatterierna och sedan fortsätter med att ladda din bodel, annars kan du tömma dina startbatterier. Hoppas detta hjälper är inte så duktig på o förklara saker 😅 Annars är det bara o fråga igen.

Sadly we bought it at the local Truck/hardware store and I went back and asked but it was a spare part just forgotten on a shelve so they can´t say for sure what it was but maybe you could check with a local shop what they would recommend? Because as long as they can get the same belts on it should work or change belt length it can work also. Please let us know if you solve it which part that worked because many people asked us the same question. 🤗😉

Is the alternator 24V? The car is 12v only starter is 24v.
