Just got back from a 600 mile loop on my '25 X-terrain 900R. I have to agree on "nimble" comment. I was very surprised how fun this sled is, would never know it's a 146, and I'm coming off probably 30,000 miles on R-motion Renegades. Suspension setup and riding style is definitely a learning curve, but it's a monster in the bumps. Would never know its a 640lb sled. Nice video, Thanks 🙏
I ride a 144 Switchback , tried many skis , sold many skis barely used for cheap , I’m running Slydog 8 inch Powderhounds , with 10 inch carbides , nicest skis I’ve ever run on trail , they have a even nicer pair now , not out when I bought mine , tapered backs , still 1 1/4 keel , they don’t track in the lines , they cut a fresh line , smooth , no studs , 1.35 track
Hey Mike when you say the Lynx is more ‘nimble’, do you feel it steers better, lighter, handles better than Renny xrs 900r, even thought it’s 146” vs 137 ? I’ve got an xrs900r and trying to decide my next sled. Liking the Lynx but not sure about 146” as I ride 99% groomed trails.
I have a 23 Rave 850, and my buddy has a 24 Xterrain Turbo. I'm looking at the 26 Renegade vs Xterrain and after riding my buds for awhile, I'm leaning towards the Xterrain for the comfortable ride....and those shocks, c'mon.
How does the Lynx compare to your 900 xrs from last year? I have seen on some forms that they say the Lynx are slower because they are geared lower. What are your findings? Maybe it’s just the 850 turbos? I have a 900 Mach z and want to make the switch but scared to if it’s going to be slower.
Mike can you tell me how to set rear spring tension on 2025 renegade Enduro with air shock do you put air shock on 1 to set rear spring tension thanks John
Also stock they have the limiter strap tucked in on number two I let mine out to number one and in my opinion it’s much funner still corners and that’s why I added the extra carbide in the front
I bought a 900R XRS in 2022 and I didn't hate it, but went back to an 850 XRS in 2023, but packing oil for a 1400 mile loop was inconvenient. This X-terrain 900R gives the best of both worlds. Playful, feels light and just smashes the bumps but no packing oil. I love this sled.
Does this one come with the rad+fan to help cool the motor if she reaches 100C like the Expedition's have? This is the sled I'm considering to order... I want 4 stroke for longevity but I want power. I also wanted 146 with a 1.6" lug minimum for our trails that are not groomed..
No Rad fan like the expeditions. They do have the fan under the intercooler that runs when you shut the sled off. I have rode my XT 900R in some pretty crappy conditions and didn’t have any temp issues. The cooling system on the 4S’s is way better than the 2S when it comes to running in crappy conditions.
Yeah pretty much both BRP products. Share many of the same components. Lynx more designed for European/nordic countries so heavier duty suspension, reinforced chassis etc. Skidoo more tailored for North America more focus on lighter weight and trail performance
So ? Your saying ! If you pound it hard ! No Mercy ! Buy a Lynx , Skidoo is a skinny girl , break her bones poundings , maybe not ? But she’ll need a Walker at a young age
Nice footage, sounds like a great sled and set up. Heard of a couple guys throwing checking engine lights with the MCX? Not sure if they're not set up right? Over reving them? Supposedly you have to let the sled "learn" the kit before you really give it the BEANS 🫘?
@sledaddicz Hey Mike, I appreciate the reply. Someone said, ride the sled when you get the MCX kit like you're breaking in a belt. Then let 'er rip. Would you agree with that statement? Thanks, Tom.
I have the exact same Sled and I can’t tell you how much I love it! Been riding for 30 years and it is extremely fun. Miles of smiles.
Cant lift the Ski on corners?? I might have my doubts!! :)
Hey Mike, thanks for sharing this. Lynx was not even on my radar but now with these options available it is something I may consider.

Could you please share what your exactly using for camera mounts.. thanks

cool video.. i miss my yamaha 4 stroke and that was a tank so i imagine i would not have a problem at all with the handling of that snowmobile..
Also stock they have the limiter strap tucked in on number two I let mine out to number one and in my opinion it’s much funner still corners and that’s why I added the extra carbide in the front
I Also have a 25 XT 900r, what have you found your favorite shock set up so far?
That's my next sled. I never own a 4stroke. But the next one will be the lynx xterrain
I was thinking the same thing

What clutch kit do you have?
What topspeed have you seen?
Hey Mike, I got to say you really look good in red!

Nice review
Ore info on that track please!
It's sold out for the season unfortunately is what I was told. It is absolutely wicked tho. Camso Ice Arrow 1.35 track.
Looking forward to your opinion on it at some point. Looked interesting
Is Lynx the Cadillac , and Skidoo is just a Chevy , or What ?

You are correct. If not clutched properly,, they will overboost and throw a check engine light. Cheers, Mike
