@@onefastsled It's an incredibly good Frag jouster and was basically purpose-built for that playstyle due to its superior speed, greater firepower, and better hardpoint placement. It also has such an abundance of power that you can build a Low Emission Power Plant without trouble. I did indeed get mine a couple weeks ago and have been having a great time. You can't fly it the same way as an FDL or you'll be disappointed; you need to take full advantage of it's strengths, it definitely isn't built for dogfighting and such :)
Zachary Damascus still gets bent over and spanked by any FDL that knows how to actually fight, Cutters make jokes of it if they can fight like they should, Vettes will annihilate it via firing for effect, Kraits might be even with it, and ANYTHING with drag munitions will fuck ya
@@onefastsled Drags are, from my testing, actually not that bad since ideally you keep 4 pips on engines most of the time and therefore can boost indefinitely with a good power plant. As for everything else, all I can say is that you're selling the Mamba short and should look up some videos of it fighting with FA off. Have a nice day and stay safe :)
Zachary Damascus its not the speed I’m concerned with in a Mamba, its heat and turn rate, drag munitions make a fairly slow turner (for mediums) even slower, and when your competing with FDLs that already turn faster, its rather difficult to actually win those engagements,

Just started playing this game after I bought it like 2 years ago. I bet there will be some people who will disagree Python is the best all-round ship in this game.
Not realy, krait mk2 tried, but even after same manufacturer can't make better ship for 600 years i don't think anybody can. Realy i choose krait phantom for jump range but i can't imagine job python could not done as good (except exploring) as any other small and medium ship. Only conda can beat python but let's say conda is just op and it's large.
There's such potential for other ships to come as close to as good at an all-around role, but they just seem afraid to do it, for some reason. I particularly want to see an alliance ship with a more all-around role.

A while back when I got elite, they were in the middle of balancing bounty rewards. Each kill gave a ridiculous amount of credits, had a Fer-De-Lance in no time.
I’ve gotten out of more then my fair share of scrapes in the federal dropship. And anytime I get interdicted I just turn to fight. Cause I know I’ve got the hull to tank whatever they throw at me, and the firepower to answer back
Its a bit faster with worse hp and a SLF, otherwise their interchangeable, kinda like Cutter and T9 as far as cargo goes, even though for practical use the T9 moves more
over 300 hours, 6 years in the game. i finally got a python yesterday lol............. making money so hard in game. now stuff been boosted i got friend playing with me. game is improving and im learning. great vid funny

I'll admit, I bit the bullet and bought one (Type 7). Sold it in 3 days... Like, I really really gave it a go. The extra cargo wasn't worth all of the other caveats.

when your ships gets called "underrated great allrounder" that is exactly what I think of it. 30 ly jump range (no booster, engineer lvl 4.5), good shields, 2 medium and 2 large hardpoints. Sadly no fighters though...
@@igorortega6494 Clipper is a great ship - I own all of the imperial ships, love to fly 'em. Only downside is that it needs a large landing pad, which limits the stations you can visit :/
@@igorortega6494 Yeah, I've noticed that the bigger, tougher, expensive ships are never quite as fun to fly as the smaller ones. I often find myself flying an Eagle in preference to my Cutter / Conda simply for that feeling of zooming around :D

And yeah, the eagle flies great in lowres sites - but I like to hand around in highres, personally. Granted it doesn't do much damage, but hot damn it's fun :D

Tip for Beluga mail slot entry; put your gear down *outside* the station - the rear fins flatten and even with gear hanging out from under it, it is shorter overall

For the record: I have no idea what to use the iEagle for For close-range combat (SRB weapons and cytos) The Eagle is just better than the iEagle, it has the maneuverability to keep up the big ship's arse without needing to boost often, and when you do need to boost you don't ridiculously overshoot like in the iEagle, giving the big boy more than enough time to get its guns onto you and cream you. For racing and drive-by combat, The viper is better than the iEagle. Just fly through a Canyon at 930 m\s and see that you're coming at a wall. Ok. Flip FA off, spin around, boost. Yay! the Viper mkIII is already going 900 m/s in the other direction! In the iEagle, well either you will boost and still hit the wall anyway or you will be crawling at about type-10 speeds in the other direction until your distributer recharges. I really just don't know what to use the iEagle for. Regular Eagle si better for combat, The viper is also better for combat and racing.
Bounty hunting. I have got a build that is a shieldless all rails eagle and works fine against those dangerous and deadly pirate corvettes. Well, the combat is a bit challenging but just a bit, because this ship moves extremely well. I can't provide a coriolis link because it's flagged as spam, but in my channel you can find a video about it and the build. (Not seeking clout here, just trying to help you).
