Perhaps there is a connector/adapter extender so there is no struggle with the original connector for future headlight replacements? Going to look around and see if this exists.
Do you mean the daytime running lights? No, you would have to replace the whole headlight housing. The dealership will charge you $1700.00 each. Yes, you read that right. I found some aftermarket ones on Amazon for around $300. It was an exact replica of the OEM and even came with all the light bulbs already installed. Here's a link to the one I bought but make sure you get the right one for your car. amzn.to/48ummRZ
Surprised, you didn't need a canbus decoder/resistor? I know most Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles do, but that may just be for replacing halogen bulbs and not the HIDs.
Are you still traveling with your Pacifica ? I’ve been binge watching your videos ! 🙂 I just purchased a 2020 Pacifica with just 29k miles on it. I plan on making it a camper van as you have. See you on the highways !
Yep, I'm still out there whenever I can. I'm trying to save up some gas money at the moment. Meanwhile I'm working on a new campervan configuration. Stay tuned😁 But congrats on your new van! Let me know when you finish your build. We can make a tour video.
Yeah, you're probably right. I took it to the dealership who said the entire housing needed to be replaced and that would cost $1700! Yes, ONE THOUSAND and SEVEN HUNDRED American dollars!!! I've been driving with one headlight for months now. But there has been an update as of yesterday. I'll be posting a video on it soon. Spoiler: I bought an aftermarket housing for $300, installed it myself and it seems to be working just fine.😎
That's a great idea. But I recently visited the dealership who told me the problem is some kind of circuitry inside the headlight housing. They don't think it's the wiring. I'm about to order a new housing and we'll see if that works. They told me it would cost $1700 but I found some online for about 300. Will I save $1700 or will I waste $300? Stay tuned.😁
If someone sends you a product, they are not sponsoring you. They have to pay you for editing and producing the video. Hopefully you grow so that they do pay for your videos.
You completely skipped the single most important part of the video - how do you squeeze the light bulb into the socket? Plug it in first, or after putting it in? The connector is so short it seems impossible.
Yes, sorry about that. That part was edited out becuase I was doing too much cursing at the time. Lol! Just kidding. But to answer your question; It's pretty much impossible to plug or unplug the connector while the bulb is still in the housing. You'll want to plug that wire into the bulb before installing the bulb into the socket. Hope that helps.😊

Great idea! Let me know if you find anything.😀
WTF!!!? The OEM looks like a Frankenstein job!!!🤦♂️And the price is ridiculous! Very nice job, Curtis.👍
Yeah, I agree about the price. I did find a cheaper brand on Amazon for about 50 bucks! They worked good enough.
Is it possible to replace those eyeliner looking accessory lights without replacing the whole thing?

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't need a cannabis decoder ring too. Yup, what he said.😁

Go To The Junk Yard And Get A New Connector, Or Wiring Harness And Splice It In.

Good to know. The guy who contacted me kept using the word "sponsor" in his emails, but it never quite felt right to me.
