This is just my opinion, so, "inconsistency" is the worst scenario to locating any problem (if you have owned a car or two before, I am sure you have heard the mechanics telling "everything checked out just fine" or something like "oh, that's normal"...), needless to say, the host stated that there were a number of dislike on top of the inconsistent noises and issues all during its 1st year of their ownership... So, I know I have too many other choices on the market waiting for me with much better consistency in reliability and maintenance-ability. Good luck with your hard earned $$ and time we'll spend with your family rather than back and forth between the dealership and its waiting area.
FCA or even old Chrysler could never build an electrical problem free vehicle in the past..ever. What on Earth does one think that they can build a reliable sophisticated electric-gas powered vehicle? When buying from FCA, less options = less problems. Too bad, the Pacifica looks nice and is the only hybrid minivan for sale in US.
@@rimonzaky5578 No problems. It's been great and I continue to drive it mostly on battery. Highly recommended. And $7500 rebate makes it fairly affordable for a car of it's class. Nicest vehicle I have owned.
Love mine, 75%+ electric in practice for my driving pattern and a "gallon" worth of juice costs me 67 cents at home each night. Also a dozen free chargers near shopping in my neighborhood. Don't miss the stow and go 2nd row or the vacuum. I can still remove the seats for hauling and plug in a vac. The engine noise thing is only a problem in your head. It IS actually supposed to do that. Accept it.
See how you feel in 10 years. Some of these chrysler/dodge minivans have electrical issues and blown head gaskets within 6 months from new.... I heard of one workshop that refuses to touch them because they don't want to get blamed for the constant string of problems OR NEW PARTS that fail WITHIN MONTHS. Because they're expected to fix it again if the parts they install fail.
It does have a 10yr warranty and it is unique as the largest hybrid and the most fuel efficient minivan. I buy vehicles intending to get a 10 year life out of them, in 10 years my kids will be grown, I will be retired and no longer in the market for a minivan. It slots nicely into the niche I (and likely many other families) want to fill.
Had 3 Chevy Volts before buying this hybrid van so we'll schooled on hybrid ins and outs. Got tired of waiting for GM and other more reliable manufacturers to get such a vehicle in dealerships as we needed more room and comfort from a hybrid vehicle plus needed the $7,500 tax credit and end of year pricing. Had it almost 1 year now and confirm some of the things mentioned in video. The noises didn't bother me as you get spoiled with the lack of engine noise from these hybrid vehicles most of the time and when the gas engine does run sometimes it may seem more pronounced as you are used to not hearing the noise of the engine running. The light colored leather interior is hard to keep from staining but can be somewhat mitigated with proper cleaners and leather care products. The electric mileage is great for such a big vehicle just slightly less than the cramped Volt. The almost 600 miles per tank is great also. I have to add gas maybe once a month or less. Comfort, room and utility are great but no towing capacity. The stupid award goes to their use of some software tied to the radio that you must use to set the charge schedule. The charge schedule must be reset every month or it will not charge on schedule which you need for off peak electric charge rates ( costs about $ 35 to charge per month ). No fix yet from Chrysler but they have known about this problem for years ( WTH Chrysler that is one of the main reasons you buy a hybrid or electric so you can use it mostly on electric, not where you want to have a glaring problem inconveniencing customers from doing such duh ). Never owned a Chrysler before because of quality and reliablity issues so bought the extended warranty something tells me that was a good move. Bottom line this vehicle is not for everyone, but if you need a quiet comfortable ride with good utility, great electric and gas mileage, the tax credit, end of year pricing and gas savings then go for it but try and get darker interior if you can, we couldn't find one at the time. If you are buying and have doubts about quality and reliablity get the extended warranty at a discount and if you don't need the tax credit just lease.
@@rimonzaky5578 I believe the extended warranty was about $2000 for 7 yrs and covers everything. The other issue is these get rust on front of hood in less than 2 years so get it fixed under factory warranty.
I really wanted a 2020 Pacifica hybrid to replace my 2017 gas Pacifica lease. But with the hybrid production delays and all the additional hybrid issues I decided to order another gas version.
