I just love how the characters are all so calm including the bad guys. That’s what I love about the matrix was the characters was smart, cool calm collected.

Man rewatching it, you realise how powerful Morpheus is for a normal human, his mind is so free in comparison to others, and his fight IQ is insane. Trinity is an accomplished combatant, but where she emptied an entire clip into the ghost Morphsus conserved his bullets to use strategically. Shots to the ghosts head @0:46 frees Trinity; spraying the bullets @1:11 renders them static while he enters the vehicle; while he couldn't harm them he fought so that their power was a handicap against themselves. Dudes thinking moves ahead
Agreed. We see here how far he’s come since his first beatdown from Smith. To put the Twins on the defence and properly hold his own against an upgraded agent not long after. What a legend
I would have loved to see Morpheus and Trinity have more screen time against the Twins. I actually expected to see them appear in Revolutions during the Club Hel part. It would have been great to see Morpheus and Trinity fight the Twins for a while and Seraph had to step in and steamroll the Twins.

Also I saw someone else mention it above but trinity not even flinching when the twin went ghost through the car understanding he couldn’t do her any harm is honestly under looked, I’ve always loved that scene for how raw it was, it’s like someone jokingly thrusting water at you from a closed bottle, your going to flinch it’s just natural for you to try and dodge threat when it comes your way, but when your mental is as strong as theirs and you process shit that fast it’s amazing how calm cool and collected you can be during moments of immediate threat, loved this movie.

He also had the best sparring partner to ever exist. He was undoubtedly training in the dojo with Neo as much as possible, telling him to attack with skills comparable to the average Agent every time!

The way they shot these scenes was amazing. Almost every choice was perfect.
From the way Morpheus picks up the sword with his foot, to the way he unsheaths the sword.
To the way the camera is on the ground when they pull off and you see a Twin turn his feet, not in a hurry, but you can see the his irritability in the way he turns and heads for the Escalade
So glad they didnt destroy the older caddys
I like how Trinity loses the fight agaisnt one of them and morpheus holds two of them without sweat. Morpheus is a real badass

The 1st movie was more mind blowing but I enjoyed the action scenes way more in reloaded
The fact that Neo just so casually flew 500 miles to get back in the fight is insane!
Chase scene was about 10-15mins long meaning this man was flying 3000mph(approximately mach 4 or 4x the speed of sound) just to be able to save Morpheus in the nick of time. INSANE!
Moving that fast it's easy to understand why Neo can fight crowds of agents and powerful programs by himself.

1:14 - 1:17 the moment the beat starts getting more hyped and then the low shot of the rear tire spinning out was genius. and it also showed the quicksnap change in step of the twins' direction. that little shot was gangsta
0:55 - 1:24 just sets the vibe so well, Fast, Aggressive, and in a sense of horrifying panic for them to stay alive and get tf outta dodge.
Love that understated "Really." and look around at the mountains, at being told he's up in the mountains. You don't say, Link.
Neo could have walked back thru the door. It was still open. But flying cross continents/ocean in minutes is cooler than stepping back over the threshold in seconds.

@@yinshah3303 The chateau itself is in the mountains, making it a very secure hideout for Merv. You can see it sitting on the mountaintop as he flies away. There are doors that lead to it like portals from the city, but these were nullified by the Merovingean and the Twins respectively. So there was no other way than to fly.
I like that part, shows how Neos still got a human sense of humor despite him becoming more machine like in his role as the One
This film is arguably the quintessential moment where both graphics interwoven with a perfect script created a new standard in narrative fidelity in a film.

When I heard they were making a 4th matrix film. I knew straight up that there's no way they're gonna make it work.
No Hugo Weaving, no Laurence Fishburn, Neo can't fly and just using Telekinesis (if that's the right word) ability all the time. I've seen clips of it but I just don't really wanna see the movie coz of how dumb it looks.

There are reasons why The Matrix Resurrections lacks on compared to the first three Matrix films, The Animatrix and games:
- narrative story that’s connected to all three movies
- the horror vibes of simulations and machines controlling humans (as Agent Smith described them as a virus).
- the Kung fu fights
- bullet time VFX
- “Guns, lots of guns.”
- interesting side characters
- inclusive songs from different rock and tencho bands
- mind blowing thoughts of what is real and what is a dream (or simulation)

Stakes in real world scenes, like when they rescue Trinity in Resurrections no one gets killed or spotted, meanwhile in the trilogy there's the centinels coming while Neo is still plugged into the Matrix in 1, the centinels racing against him in 2, the fight against Bane/Agent Smith in 3 and the trip to the machine city, which is the cause of Neo and Trinity having to be resurrected in the first place

The music. Both #1 and #2 (and to a lesser extent #3) had amazing soundtracks. The soundtrack of #4 may as well not have existed.

I watched this and realized how cool the real Morpheus was. Gave me a heartache. How cool all of these characters were - Trinity speeding in the car, Neo flying, beautiful mansion, extravagant characters like twins, crisp setting, tone, action, spec. effects...
And all of that had to be destroyed with new "Matrix Resurrections". Why?... If you don't want to make a sequel - don't do it. Don't make these excuses - "they would do this movie with or without us" crap. Shame on Lana Wachowski and WB.
There could have been plenty of reasons to develop a different story about Matrix, than killing all the main characters and show a big finger to all the fans. Just aweful.

I saw someone say that you can truly see how powerful and free Morpheus and his mind are, for a normal human. And I got chills. Then I started thinking about how Morpheus literally taught Neo and contended with THE one. And I love that even tho Trinity is enormously powerful; Morpheus’ fight with these ghosts proved that he is THE Morpheus, still.
The Matrix series was way ahead of its time.
This was what i wanted from Matrix Resurrections, just one scene with this quality and i would of been cool
Well there was actually one scene more like a quick burst of action in resurrections where he says “you’re not what you used to be” and then old neo pulls a high end matrix move on him and he responds with “nice one”

It still had its moments though. Extremely minimal.
The most heartfelt scene was a millisecond. When Neo said “I never did either” in response to Niobe stating that she never believed in “The One”
I like how dangerous The Twins come across as. The one Trinity fought didn't even need to phase to beat her when he went hand-to-hand with her.
Aside from when they briefly met, it would've been great to see the Twins fight the Agents.
Twins are stronger then agents, they made quick work of trinity while she can hold her own against other agents besides Smith and Johnson of course....also they have immunity to damage and other abilities.

They actually were designed after ghosts in their version of the Matrix! It’s pretty cool
Technically, they are implied to be exile Agents from the "nightmare" Matrix. Or rather, ONE exile nightmare Agent, corrupted into two entities sharing the same collective conscious. For reasons unknown, something happened when importing or bringing them back, resulting in them turning completely white and splitting into two beings. They way they talk to one another is not unlike normal Agents talking to one another ("the anomaly, do we proceed, yes, he is still...only human...") like they share a sort of hivemind as well, or are connected to, but are able to make individual choices therefrom. In the "nightmare" Matrix, many "supernatural" beings existed and terrified people, like werewolves, notable, and it's probable the twins, which would have likely been one Agent previously, was a ghost. That's really the main implication we get.
Probably the shortest, most badass fight scene in movie history. Morpheus rocks!
Rewatching this, I notice that Morpheus fights a LOT more stiffly than those like Neo. You can see that he's not as flexible as Neo is in combat, which could show why he has trouble beating agents under normal circumstances. It definitely feels intentional that Morpheus fights the way he does.
I always wanted this 1:2 sequence to be longer. Giving you some badass shit only for 5 seconds is not fair at all

I love the detail about the ghost twins dematerializing when something can kill them (being shoot with bullets, run over a car) but they wouldn't want to in order to keep the teleporting door open with his arm, even if its being shot. Trinity should have shot at the twin's head through the door's crack tho. Aw, think faster, girl.
