- This is the video where the Mega 50 comes to life. I see that there is not enough time to build a sleeper before the build off is over so I decide to go with a mega cab. This will give me enough room to be comfortable for our long trip in a couple of week. Now with it's new look and design a new name comes for the C50 build. The Mega 50

WOW dude, that looked so easy watching you extend that cab, looks amazing . Praying for Julie. Keep us posted.
Thanks bro! I'm happy to say the prayers have worked and Julie had just gotten home and doing well
@@HardCoreFab Praise the Lord, his mercy is sufficient.

@@WhiskeyDents pffft. I have known Anthony and Julie for years. So who is following who? 😅😅

Great job our prayers are with you and Mrs Julie
Prayers for your wife and your family
Awesome work on the cab, God bless and be with Mrs Julie, Our hearts and prayers with you both
Thank you so much! I am happy to say the just got home from the hospital and is doing good!
Looking good hey. You have some awesome skills. Thanks for sharing and speedy recovery for Julie. Take care.
Most people would never know it’s been stretched.
Looks great.
That looks great it will definitely give you more leg room . Down to the final count down can not wait to see it done.
Love what you did. Prayers for a successful outcome for Julie!
STUFF THE TRUCK !!! Your wife's health is way too important. Give her our best, and look after her.
Looks factory! Nice job. Lots more positive thoughts for Julie.
As always, great work! I named my 75 VW Bus "Freddie" as in Freddie Mercury and have also been told about guy naming your ride. So I always respond: "is it a guy name?" My first ever rock concert was Queen. So I honor them. The Show Must Go On.
Have faith that Julie will succeed!
Your amazing,16 days & your cutting the cab! Crunch time & the Midnight oil must be on! Cool i know you'll make it happen. Tough Deadline. thanks
Crazy is probably better than amazing. 😆😆😆
You've got to call it the megular cab!! Love it man, keep up the work!
I think the truck looks good. Prayers are with you and Julie 🙏.
Looks great. Prayers for Julie.
Thanks so much. Julie just got home by the way and is doing good.
I like the way you extended the cab, but i think i still like the drawing with the sleeper on the truck.
Me to! I'll have to do it on another one some day.
@@HardCoreFabthat's a lot of work just for a few inches of leg room. I would have definitely put the sleeper on her. But it's your build, and it will look great regardless. Cheers!
Wishing you both all the best and a bunch of prayers too! See you next week!
Im new to your channel but im very impressed by your fabrication skills. The way you handle tools makes me think you've been in the fabrication business your entire life. Happy to see this type of content on TH-cam, because I'm learning so much just from watching you. Thanks!
Thanks and welcome to the channel!
That looks really good, well worth it. Thinking of Julie, keep us posted, it may well help you too.
Thanks! Julie is home now and is doing well
Stacks would look badass,Good luck to Julie
Stacks & Flames yes please.
Thoughts and prayers again for you and Julie.
Stacks yes
Flames no
Sorry should have said flamethrowers not just puny little flames. The kind that shoot 100 ft up and you stand 50 feet back and still can toast a marshmallow while getting a tan or burn whichever it is😆
So happy to hear Julie's home and on a road to recovery!
This looks awesome! I love the MEGA-CAB!
That looks so good looks like it came out of the factory keep up the great work
Thank you!
Get your truck done for the contest and then come back and do the things you want to do to it.
It would have been cool to add a big back window from a c10 truck. I would stretch the steps to match the mega cab also.
Love this build.
You can do all the refinements when you have time.
Yeah, the steps have to get stretched, but like you said, it may have to be later.
Very KOOL Job Antony Coming along Nicely Sending Julie 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Man I wish I had a fraction of your skill and patience! Nice job cant wait to see it, and oh yeah TICK TOCK 😬
TICK TOCK back at you! LOL
I don't know about anyone else, but I personally think those huge bore stacks will look amazing on the truck. Also, as big around as those stacks are, you could likely run straight pipes, and the big bore pipes would drastically mellow down the harsh roar to more of a mild rumble. Either way, I think it would look great with the stacks!
I have flowmasters on it now. I'm really curious how they would sound together.
@@HardCoreFabyou need a big ass engine to make pipes that big sound good. Leave the stacks to the big rig boys.
I really appreciate your taste in relation to the cab extension...You fabricated the cab extension (sensibly) as though a factory engineer designed it. In fact the extension looks stock. Awesome job! I'm subscribed to your channel now.
Thank you! U wad hopefully it wouldn't look out of place and thanks for the Sub
Megan 50 got it . Dude I’ve never watched your videos before but this came across my feed and I gotta say for a fabricator you’re kind of a badazz!!! Now I feel obligated to follow you so I can see this project out.
badass job on the cab.best wishes to julie
New here, thanks to TH-cam algorithms and my love of 67-72 GM trucks.
Best wishes for Julie!
Awesome stretch job. Dad cut the back of our cab out for a walk through into a homemade toy hauler motorhome in the early 80s. A pair of early Mustang high back buckets really made for decent room. He's 6'2", I'm 6'5".
Hank is a far better name. Its derived from Henry isn't it? Henrietta would be a pretty hot Hank in my imagination.
Looks fun, I'll enjoy following along!
Thanks for watching and the heads up on the seats. That gives me something new to look for on market place.
Wow! Looks like a factory option! Excellent work.
Thanks!
This extension looks killer. Looks much better than stock, I realli like it.
Its looks great. Seen alot of this type of work done. Never seen it made this easy. Looks great.
Thanks for making. Prays for Julie
These are cool trucks. Looks good.
I hope you finish the build with the camper! Love the vids. Wishing a speedy recovery for Julie.💪🏻
we will definitely keep working on it!
Still & all one of my favorite fabricators.
Thank you so much!
According to some you added 9"! Badum, tsss!
I'll show myself out...
Very cool! Good luck to you and yours.
Wow that looks amazing great job with the cab m8 💯👍🏻
Dude, the cab turned out great and yes to the stacks. It sucks that I will miss RATSHOCK this year. It's a great show. I had a great time last year.We will be on vacation this year. So have fun and hope to see you again in 25.
Have fun on your vacation and yes 25 if all goes well!
I love the confidence you had to just add a little bit to the cab and not a huge extension.
Absolutely stacks!
Wow it looks great Anthony! And I agree with the others…you sure make it look simple lol and great name although I’m not sure I’ve ever taking out any mega50 girls before lol
Well I have had some that weren't mega 50's back in the day, but now you need one to haul them to the grocery store
@@HardCoreFab lol
I definitely think the stacks would be great !! Way better look !!! 👍👍
Sending prayers for Julie. At first I thought the gap was two wide and wouldn't look right, but it looks just right.
Thanks!
Can't wait to see the finished truck it's going to be bad@$$! 😎👍
You and me both!
Great video good luck to you and your wife
Stacks FTW!!!
❤❤❤❤wow can't tell 😮😮😮good job
Who’s here from puddins fab shop? I was a pipe fitter for the local 533 in kc. I no longer am, but love watching fab work now! I heed to start A project
From Puddins fab shop?
I'm building a 55 chevy PU that I stretched for the same reason. I had to add 7.5 inches to be able to put 2004 chevy truck seats in and keep my behind the seat tank. I cut the back of my cab in the same place across the bottom. I cut the sheetmetal off another cab to do the roof because I'm not a great metal shaper. Your build is looking good, wish you had enough time to make it the way you want it.
Thanks! Yeah, it's suck to not do the sleeper but I am really liking the way it's turning out so I'm ok with it. Plus now I have another truck to build to use the sleeper idea on.
I’ve watched this 3 times. . .. going to have to do my own- this is awesome
It's even more awesome when your sitting in it!
Myself I like the proportions of the cab the way you have it now. Carry on...
Thanks
Badass , great effort and simple. Congrats
I hope that after this deal you are entered in, that you go ahead with the sleeper cause that is what I love about the look you were going for. The sleeper just doesn't have to be as big now with your mega cab look which I like that too. You can put in some real cool seats with that extra leg room.
NOT doing the sleeper changes the truck a lot, but not for the better. I don't see where all of the work done makes any difference in the look of the truck. Why put all of that time into 6" when time is running out? Will the trailer go away too and be replaced by a flatbed?
It wasn't about changing the looks. My leg didn't fit between the brake pedal and the steering wheel. I was about to drive this thing 10 hours looking like I'm on a kids' gokark with the wheel between my knees
Nice looks good and not out of place
Amazing work
Looks like a lot of fun
Cut the other side steps and use them to expand your side steps to the back of the cab. Turn downs no stacks. Prayers for Julie and good luck with the build looking pretty good so far
Thought I was going to hate it but I ended up digging the final product! Nice job on the "M50"
I would extend the Cab with Oval rear side glass windows and build the stacks inside the rear of the Cab, Build s streamlined set of rear Panels to extend back covering the wheels with Fender Skirts . I would make it Fifth wheel Friendly so I could pull either a nice Fithwheel Camper or a fancy Mobil combination Camper / Stock or even a Toy Haulers RV setup.
I like the stacks gets the noise and stuff above and away and dont drone as bad to me. gonna look badass either way.
Awesome job!
Looks good from here
She looks good
I think this thing turned out really nice it looks factory Great job
Stacks would look killer on that truck .
Call the trailer Hank. Nice cab work, thoughts are with Julie.
Hopefully, your wife will be healthy soon. And you made the truck exactly what it should have been from the factory. I love those trucks, but I totally agree with you that the cab is not big enough. When I was a smaller kid, they were perfect. Today, I can't get in them because my knees are in the dash and steering wheel 😂😂. You have great skills and are making it amazing.
Thank you!
stacks would be bad ass
New to your channel and I really enjoy what you're doing. I live in South Korea now so this type of work is not possible for me now. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Thanks and welcome!
Prayers for your wife 🙏
Thank you so much!
I hope that you still add a camper. The rendering is amazing.
You do nice work . the proportions on the extension is so subtle that it looks like it came from the factory, I have a 67 Chevy and one way to give your self a little more room is to lower the seat down it makes a big difference when you have a stock cab with the gas tank behind the seat , with out being able to punch the seat back the only option is down .
yeah I even found a OBS (thin/down) seat which has worked for me in some other trucks I have had these years but this one it was just not cutting it. IDK what is different about the C50 VS C10 but it just wasn't working for me this time
Mega c50.....yeah that fits..👍😎💯
I think it looks great . I was wanting to do the same thing to a 53 Chevy pickup . I’m like you just not enough room behind the steering wheel.
Nice job Anthony 👍
Impressive sheet metal work. I have done sheet metal work like that and it hasn't turned out that nice. I would appreciate a video in the future where you explain step by step how you are deciding each step you take. I wouldn't have thought to do it like that, and it wouldn't turn out that nice.
Great job!!
Lmao 😂 it will definitely stick with you brother
Great build love the the mega 50
STACKS!!!!!!
Looks awesome
Thanks!
Defo stacks man that will look cool
Great job...
It really turned out sweet 👍👍
Thanks Shane!
Dual stacks, yes!
It looks damn good.!!!!!!!!
Looks good but would look better if you could extend step to match edge of cab if time permits keep up good work and prayers for you wife hope all goes well for her
I agree 100 % with adding to the step. As for the wife, I just got her home from the hospital, and she is doing good
Stacks look corny unless required by big rig diesel power
God be with her......
I think stacks would look sweet on a mega cab like that!
Good job looking go
Wow. Love it
Stacks for the win
I like the look of the cab and you are right these trucks are too small, I also think the stacks could look very cool if time allows!
Yeah, I've had a bunch of them, and for running around town they're OK, but spend more than about 30 mins in one sucks.
My personal preference is no stacks. However, if you're going to use them, how about a single stack and frenching it into the cab-- on driver's rear side after the cab stretch (approx just forward of where the gas cap was on the original, but in the stretched section), french in an appropriate diameter half tube running bottom to top of the extended cab, then run the stack inside of that, with about 10" of the stack sticking up above the cab roof. Make sense? In any case, keep cutting!
/2 cents
Edit: I was thinking the stretch would be bigger. So... same as above, but french it in near the rear side of the sleeper.
Prayers for julie
Looking good
Thank you!
You have mad skills.
Thanks!
