Rat rod builders are unfortunantly often people with a minimum of skills, and blame their lazyness on the "style" of the build. So in their oppinion it should be ok to build scrap, more or less. Now this is something completely different. Highly skilled proffessionals who build with performance, quality and divine design as their trademark. It made my heartrate go up when i saw the unnessesary screw holes in the firewall being welded shut. My Grandfather had safety stands made from truck axles like that (1:14) when I was young. This is the first time I've seen them used like that since then. Thanks for the memories!
Yes, Sir! I bought one of the original Hookers & Blow tees in support of this bad-boy the day you posted it! This was a cool video that showed all of the design, fabrication, and construction steps for this One of a Kind Fab Wrecker Rod! You have excellent design skills and understand how to turn an idea into a reality. It's great to see the family pitching in on the build right alongside you! I had a lot of fun watching this one come together. Excellent work, Tony.
Hi Anthony and Julie, another fascinating triumph. I have recorded the entire series but welcome the condensed version. A very welcome entertainment over Christmas. Well done! From Somerset, England, UK.
She is definitely a beauty mixed with a beast. You are really a great fabricating man and your family jumps in to get involved. Thanks for sharing your video and all the best for 2023
That was cool to see how you staged the whole project.. It's almost like you have done this before lol. So cool the winch works and how you made it work . So jelly of desert metal you can work with.
After seeing this truck in person now watching the video of the build, it is incredible the attention to detail. The fact that texaco sign was handmaid is incredible. Great build.
WOW MAN , I watched you step by step build it, now to see this, my eyes never left the screen. All the while knowing ,IT WENT TO THE TOP. HOOKERS & BLOW is on my back. I m going to wash it and fame it. O G SUPPORTER OF HOOKERS & BLOW
Love your video... aging the sign EXCELLENT.. I like that I don't have to watch and listen to play by play while you're cutting and holding a GoPro .. Great Job
Fantastic video! It is an amazin build and I really enjoyed seeing the family participation! Thanks for the insight into this amazing piece of engineering and fabrication skills!
I just found your channel, When I seen the boom, I recognized the build as one of my favorites at SEMA. It was one of the first builds I seen entering the convention center grounds. I went back to my photos in my phone and there it was. I'm glad I found this video. as to see your build process and the detail, I was unable to see in person. Great build
I like watching videos like this. It's my way of understanding how guys build these chassies for ratrods. Planning on building a few personal RC rat rods and some of your clever ideas help me even in such a smaller scale. Really enjoyed this.
Super nice job + I Like how the family gave some hand in the work . I said to my son some weeks before that I should have not born in Mauritius , but in USA lol , cause I see that i can find all I want to have to build stuffs my own way .
I loved your vid, I watched from beginning til the end. I love building and just watching I will use some trics shown to my advantage, thanks alot!!!!!. Many blessings to you and your fam.
Just watching the way you built it from scratch from an old worn out truck that must of been good back in its day, what a great video and the music is definitely straight on & it even sounds good at high speed on 2X!! You should try it, and you would agree with me on how it sounds and I know your viewers & subscribers would like it also!!
I know its your video and I like videos that go FULL speed, and I hoped you watched it like I did and the music soundtrack sounded alot better and I put it on my speakers and turned the volume up and I was jammin' by myself and having a good time by myself and rockin' on out!! You guys are awesome with the video and what a fantastic old truck getting a new life & letting the people looking at it while driving, Now thats what you call in awesome Rat Rod, Me and my late brother tore down in old worn out, beat up old Vega into a Rat Rod and it looked cool and everyone wanted to drive it, but your built was way better than ours!! I just started a small engine repair business but I am making something cool that could possibly make it to SEMA. Merry Christmas and have a great New Years.
Our table is a Torchmate 4x8. It saves so much time and does some much better than I can do by hand. They have smaller ones, and there are many different tables out there. I would highly recommend getting one! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
