Let me know where I should go next, or what to try next!
Hey, I met you there at Gate C4. I have my coat color is yellow, and my hat color is green. We were together to ride the plane from ANC far to JFK's first day of new service nonstop. We remember? Thank you for coming with our new group.
So happy I got to do this flight with you I had such a blast!!! @TheTripReporter ! Cheers to being on the longer nonstop!
the transition into the timelapse at 16:55 was clean!
Yo @AlaskaTripReports was right behind you during boarding of that 737 max 8
Was fun doing another inaugural with you in what feels like less than a month.
I flew Zipair from Tokyo to Honolulu when I was returning from Japan, and it took as long as this flight, on a 787!
The Alaska MAX 8s are not powered by LEAP 1A as shown at 3:04. The MAX has the LEAP 1Bs , B for Boeing A for Airbus. The LEAP 1As are on the Airbus A320NEOs
I’m aware of the error
No complimentary meal in Economy for a 7+ hour flight is wild. Hawaiian serves a meal with 2 choices and a snack prior to arrival on flights between Honolulu and Austin which is a similar length. Will be interesting to see if AS waters down that service post-merger.
Yeah, good catch. In my opinion Alaska seats are also extremely thin. I would never do that long of a flight on them.
That is pretty much standard now on all domestic airlines except for premium transcontinental routes (NY-LAX and NY-SF0).
@@Worldly876 100% - United doesn’t offer anything on EWR-ANC either. Just trying to call out how carriers differentiate themselves on these primarily leisure AK/HI routes.
Delta offers lunch & a light snack on MSP-HNL but nothing on ATL-ANC. American offers snack/brunch on DFW-HNL but nothing on ORD-ANC. All similar flight lengths. 🤷🏻♂️
@@j.durr_ yeah so the Hawaii flights may be another exception to no food. One point is that AA took out ovens in their economy galleys of domestically configured narrowbody planes. I found that out when I flew to Quito, Ecuador pre pandemic. Outbound was a 737 with no oven so dinner was a cold sandwich. Inbound was a internationally configured (and now all retied) 757 and we got a hot breakfast. So even where the planes fly internationally and you get a meal, it will always be cold on American with a narrowbody until their A321XLRs arrive.
They are going to keep the brands separate so I imagine not
🎵In New York,
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of,
Theres nothing you can’t do,
Now you’re in New York,
these streets will make you feel brand new,
the lights will inspire you,
lets hear it for New York, New York, New York🎵
🎵In New York,
Concrete jungle wet dream tomato🎵
Having a direct New York before DFW is wild
There’s seasonal direct to DFW on American
Love this!
United operates a seasonal direct flight from Dulles to Anchorage and back on a 737MAX8.
United used to operate Newark-ANC with a 757 but now with a MAX8
Boeing max jets used the leap 1B not the 1A, that one js made for the a320 neo.
I think that Yogi Bear would have loved eating the salmon with bengals.
Thanks so much for the mention too you got me in your video a lot more than the news did so I really appreciate it!! Can’t wait to fly with you again one day @TheTripReporter ! My inagural video is out! You should watch that tooo!!!
Check out the new Avelo flight between Lakeland Florida and New Haven Connecticut.
great video 🎉
Great video!
Is the WiFi fast enough for cloud gaming, like Amazon Luna? Was hoping so for Alaska flight from Honolulu to LAX.
Nice 👍
are you gonna do a trip report from jfk to anc on alaska 737-8 ? id like to see how they deal with strong headwind going west in that plane
I didn’t fly back to ANC from JFK
ASA uses the Max 8 and the Max 9 on these routes. So far it’s been seamless, but there are plans in place in the case of a needed tech stop. So far both AC have handled it just fine.
(Suctions cups as well as any other devices that can considered to be ‘attached to the plane’ are not legal to be attached for taxi, take off & landing per the FAA) During flight would have been fine.
I live in alaska
Awesome
They did not let you put the suction cup on the window?
It’s MAX, it could’ve caused the window to blow out.
@@Neurosis_Cordis seriously?
@@bml33 I was being facetious because of all the issues MAX has been having over the years, one of them being the door plug that blew out on another AK Airlines MAX this January, shortly after takeoff.
@@Neurosis_Cordis Whew good to know. Now I can keep taking my GoPro and recording my flights!
They didn’t let us since its apparently against either airline policy or FAA
Aleyksa Skiing LETSSS GOOO
Tokyo is only 75 miles longer flight (3450 )
If I am not mistaken, AS just got their 3rd max in honor of those who serve livery. Was it a full flight? I wanted to catch this flight.
It was their 2nd or 3rd. Nah the flight wasn’t so full
I am curious, do you remember how much you pay to fly Alaska airlines to JFK and how's New York, did you enjoy your trip?
Shame on Alaska for no complimentary meal on a 7 hour flight. American companies need to get back to the basics. Most foreign airlines offer complimentary on just 2-3 hour flights. 😂
Not just Alaska but every US airline, I strongly agree meals should be offered free of charge for long fligjts
One thing Boeing critics have a hard time with is that the machines they build fly flawlessly and are well-liked by their customers.
100% agree
How was the flight ?
Not too bad
Interesting flight report 👍✈️🇷🇺
NO Complimentary Meals in Economy on a 7HOUR flight!!!
No free meals if you drive from ANC to JFK
@@tombirkland yeah BUT you can stop at a Gas Station, a Denny's, Mcdonalds and buy Food instead of just ONE Biscoff cookie or teeny weeny packet of Pretzels.
@@ALTAJR-07 You can buy food on the plane. It's a bit pricey, and isn;t really a full meal. But the food for sale on Alaska is better than most other airlines, and, if nothing else, you're still ahead of the game on the plane, considering it's a 73 hour drive from ANC to JFK. Not counting stops.
@@tombirkland not sure about UA, DL, JB but thank goodness AA and Hawaiian are giving Boxed Meals in Economy on flts to/from Hawaii. AA is also providing Boxed Meals (sandwich, chips, desert bar) on flts from BOS/NYC to West Coast.
@@ALTAJR-07No free meal UA EWR to ANC either
Wowhavent seen bagels and zalo.on in 1zt class since 20134. So dont look to see that happeni g agai. Ceo is #1 need clst sa e to buy back stock
They'd have to pay me to fly to New York. No thanks.
14:17, What, you watch funny fail?
Painful
I was comfortable the entire flight
7 hours on a Boing built plane? No thanks!😂
Who in their right mind would fly that long in a Crash and Burn 737 MAX. Two thumbs down to your video.
Womp womp airbus fanboy
@TheTripReporter If it's a Boeing I ain't a going.😂😂😂 Jokes I enjoy flying on Air Canada's 787's to and from the UK.
