@Sinister King These two albums are the ones i like the least. Boring and soulless melodies. While their most hated albums like Thornography are really great
Cradle during Midian all the way to damnation and a day best cradle of filth ever nick came in to early I think because they didn't seem to have themselves established at the time not until after Midian. Midian was the starting point then cruelty then so on.
Fuch yeah! Take me backkkkk I wanna be in that crowd again...but why have they changed their gigs so much? I use to love the performers they had last time I saw them they was in a small venue.
The best Cradle of Filth concert and the most grotesque album I started listening to when I was 16 years old, I'm 37 now and it's the album I've fallen in love with.
John Dee That would be Travis Barker (American drummer). Nick Barker (English drummer) is a whole different thing. Both great drummers in their own respective domain.
For the bass nerds out there, Robin is definitly playing a 1978-1980 Aria SB1000. Same model that Cliff Burton played (although he also used a SB Black 'n Gold), but an older vintage. You can tell from the old-style headstock, which resembled a pair of bat wings. Gem of a bass, and totally appropriate for COF's visual aesthetic!

At one festival I saw 3 artists with the highest vocal range. Corey taylor, Dani Filth and the highest vocal range was... The singer of Faith no more. I was amazed by hearing that. But I agree back in the 90's Dani was the best singer ever!
Mike Patton, Corey Taylor, Dani Filth, Dero Goi and Ville Valo are my favorite singers their range is sick! Seeing Mike, Dani and Corey at the same festival is like the best thing ever!
He doesn't have a "range" live. He can shriek high. On record he somehow records the low end vocals too, but when he does them live they sound flat and about an octave higher than on the recording.
Saw them right on this Cruelty tour in 98, with NapalmDeath and Borknagar supporting the gig. Amazing line up here, I also met and got a sticker signed by the great “Hammer of the Gods” Nick Barker!! Great memories. Recently I appreciated cryptoriana, some true old vibes!
Agreed dudes a beast man. But I have to say the drummer they found after him was just as good the left handed candid DVD is fucking amazing his drum skills showed alot man. But nick has him by a few steps especially his technique it's unmatchable man for this type of music there is and only will be one cradle of filth this is it I'd say cradle from 94 to 2005 is the greatest black metal band of that era better than behemoth better than mayhem better than dimmu period. His lyricism is unmatchable man. Dani fucking filth man
@@jorgepae the point being he made corrections immediately and regained time' it was probably a monitor issue The original song was never recorded to a click so hats off to him on both counts

If I could go back ANYWHERE in time, to witness any event from the beginning of the universe, Cradle of Filth Astoria 98 would clearly be in my top 5!❤
Nicholas Barker, the mighty Hammer Of The Gods! Interestingly, for all the heat he and the producer of Cruelty had taken for that weird drum sound on this particular album, here at Astoria, his snare actually sounded OK, much similar to the one used in their 1999 EP From The Cradle To Enslave 5th track Funeral in Carpathia (Be Quick or Be Dead Version). Now imagine if this same snare sound had been used on Cruelty...
I remember being like ten going into Rasputin with a $20 looking for a new CD. The cover of this album was what I zoned in on. Took me weeks to really start appreciating what I was hearing. Like 25 years later and still finding new shit in this album.
acontece.
Surreal a qualidade.
Dani's voice in the 90's. Nicholas on drums. The real COF. THAT. JUST. ROCKS.
They are still good, but in those days they were gods
@@fakenius584 They were good up until Darkly, after that album everything is boring

Yep. Cuz Nick Barker's on the drums.
