I am so stuck. I was watching your video and following along when at: [Seventeen Minutes and 15 seconds: 17:15 into the video ] - I have QBS 2018 Accountant Edition. The Transaction Type I chose is Checks. I customized my columns to include the Date/Payee/Amount into the Batch Enter Transaction Window. My Batch Transaction window does not populate the fields with the data from my excel spreadsheet file. I followed your example step by step. I right-click on the Date field, remove the current date that is there, as you suggested in the video. For pasting, I tried multiple times to do this. I press CTRL+V and I even Right Click to Paste the data, but all the data from my spreadsheet just stays in the Date field. There is no automatically populating the data into the fields for me. I've tried so many ways I can think of to copy/paste. This is so frustrating! What's really crazy I'm very tech-savvy when it comes to navigating the computer. I would really hate to enter 300 somethings transactions one by one. I am new to QBS, but the video was easy and helpful, but entering multiple transactions into the Batch Enter Transactions window does not work for me. :(
Is quickbooks in a hosted (remote) platform? Or are you working on a Windows emulator inside of mac? Those two scenarios don’t allow a cross platform copy and paste.

Hector, Is there a way to download transactions from Wells Fargo for 2021 into Quickbooks? According to WF and QB customer service this is not possible. Please tell me this is possible???
Great info! Thank you. Unfortunately, I have QB Desktop Pro 2018. Not sure I want to spend $349 for the Accountant version now? Wish there was an upgrade just for importing from Excel for CC charges!

Hi, I have Quickbooks desptop version 2020 installed in two different computers. I have a client file called Glass Mirror Inc in both computers. The same exact file. I need to input bank transactions for twelve month and it is a lot of work. I want to know if in one computer I can input six months and in the other computer input the other six months and merge the data into one computer. Is that possible and how can I do that?
@@HectorGarciaCPA I am trying, but it will just paste the first vendor name from the list I copied. Also, tried copy/paste to the "Batch Enter Transactions" window and all the info gets pasted to the date cell instead of distributed along the columns specified.
What’s the proper way to categorize the credit card payment transaction downloaded via the Credit Card bank feeds? Should it be coded I.e. Payee:Amex and Account: “Amex liability” or should it be Account: “BofA Checking”? This has me soo confused at times... please help me. Love your videos
Good day Mr Hector. Thank you for the informative video regarding importing. I am a new user to Quick Books and wanted to capture bank statements in a easier and more effective way. I am using QB's Accountant version. However i have found that if i import the bank statements using Batch entry transactions, I am unable to post bank payments to accounts payable, as the program does not accept the suppliers/vendors I have entered under unsaved vendors/suppliers. Please assist me? Kind regards!
i have quick books for contractor 2018, which icon can i use for the same function of transferring transactions from the bank to quick books if i don't have the Accountant icon?
Thank you for the tutorial. I'm running QB Desktop 2017 Premier Nonprofit. I have my file, separated Income vs Expenses. I paste the vendor vs customers BUT when I open customize columns there is no option for payee, amount etc. I only see very basic info i.e. name, address, email, terms, tax id etc. How can I customize to see Description, Amount, Postdate etc as shown in your example? Our Chase acct work perfect with QBO but our TD acct only has up to 60days of info so I need to import the transactions from Excel. Your assistance is much appreciated.
Thanks Hector ! your videos are very helpful . Unfortunately Im using QBO and I was expecting to download Bank info but as soon as I started to watch the video i notice you mentioned this feature is only on Desktop version right ? Do you have any suggestion in how can I download Bank info in QBO from previous years ? Or I for got to mention that the client havent give us access to his Bank Account . Just the actual Bank Statements documents . Thanks
Hi Hector, do you have a tutorial on how to convert an iif file to excel sheet/csv? I can't find anything that can convert iif file for me to import it to QBO. I tried other suggestions like going in excel, open the iif file and save it as csv/xls but it doesnt work. Would really appreciate if you could help me on this one. Thanks! Great Tutorial videos btw!
Janice, I watched another video and the guy just simply changed the file name from .txt to .iff on his desktop. He saved it in a .txt format to his desktop. Then renamed it on his desktop prior to opening. does that make sense? I would have to find the video but just look up importing IFF files into Quickbooks desktop.
Hello Hector! Your videos are amazing and I really enjoy them. Do you recommend any software I could use to transcribe check images from the bank statements to csv. Thank you for your kind help!
Hi Hector,. I was wondering if there is anyways around converting scanned bank statements into pdf or excel. And then importing into quickbooks pro 2018? not gonna lie but I failed to do any research before purchasing quickbooks pro 2018 and now I'm super frustrated and don't know what I can do. I only have hard copies of a year's worth of bank statements. My client wants me to put their business' bank statements into quickbooks. Do you have any suggestions? Of what I should or could do? Lol. Sorry if I sound complicated. I am kind of rusty when it comes to bookkeeping and quickbooks, as it's been awhile since I took the course. And I'm sorta short on funds to purchase the accounting edition.

To import transactions from excel into QuickBooks, you actually need to pay for a third-party app called transaction, pro importer, or SAASANT
